ABOUT NAFDAC

I promised to talk about getting NAFDAC no for your products. Here are the simple steps involved in getting your product registered:

The first thing to do is registering your business name with
CAC ( Corprate Affairs Commission). This should be between 7,000 - 8,000 naira or less. It must'nt be more than that ( based on my last finding). They have offices in different States.

Now, the next thing is, You'll be required to visit the FIIRO (Federal
Institute of Industrial Research) along side with the sample of the product you intend registering.
Your sample must carry the name you have chosen for the product and the registered Company name.

FIIRO main office should be in Oshodi. You may google FIIRO to get more information about them.

While at the FIIRO for the presentation of your product, you will be required to get a form which should cost like 4,000 or less but not more than that.
At this point, you'll be giving a certificate once your product has been verified and confirmed certified by the FIIRO. With your FIIRO certificate, NAFDAC approval will be very simple. You can even begin operation with the FIIRO certificate just that, you know, Nigerians will always want to see your NAFDAC Reg. No., in order to confirm the genuity of your products. So, I would advise you still take the next few and simple steps to get your NAFDAC No.

Don't forget the FIIRO is the one to check the quality/ standard of your product to see if your product is up to expectation or meets up with the required standard. Anything cosmetic, food and drink are usually scrutinised by them. So ensure you know what you are doing before taking your sample to them.

Thanks.

@thelifechangers No matter how good ur post is, so far as its not on the existing topic, it is a deviation. I think it will be more respectful of you to create a new thread for it. To me, makin ur post here shows lack of courage and confidence to startup ur own, and its not a good portrayal. Just an advice sir

Lest I forget, please my good people my e-book is 1,500 naira only. The promo is over.

You will agree with me that even the 1,500 is a bonus price considering what it contains and how easy it's to use. Also, the bonuses you stand to get from me after buying the ebook.

Don't also forget my mentorship, once you buy my ebook, it's my responsibility to ensure that you get everything right. Sharing my business ideas with you etc.

So, you can get much more than you pay for at the end.

Thanks.

@strongbest .let say for example I produced liquid soap and I applied for fiiro certificate for it,if in the future I want to go into production of another product, do I still need to go back to fiiro.or does the certificate covers anything I want to produce?
Is it also the same with nafdac no, does nafdac registration for one product covers any other product?

Heyllo Sir, yes you have to go back to them with the sample of the new product. Registration covers only a product, same with NAFDAC. But I do know that if you are registering more than a product at a time, there'll be a discount or a kind of consideration.

Thanks.

Heyllo Ma, diluting caustic soda with water is a kind of an exothermic process. As in, heat is usually produced. So, it's wise to leave it open at least, for a while before covering it, if you want to.

Heyllo ma'am, slippery and too foamy because you have just finished producing the soap and the chemicals you used are still reacting and very active. Let it settle down a while. So ma'am, that's how it feels. Washing your hands many times and the bowls you used in the production but keep foaming, is just part of the experience.

If you still feel it's too foamy, you can kindly reduce your foaming agents next time. It's kind of rear to hear people complain a soap is too foamy though.

Thanks.

Finally I was able to get some chemicals for my first practical. I started with toothpaste using formula 2. But what I ddnt get is mint, though I continued hopin that it wil be fine since mint is just for flavor. But these are my observations,
i was able to produce a paste and even washed my mouth with it. But after like 5min, picking the container of paste it has bexome real hot. I opened it only to find out that d paste has swolen up and changed its form. Before it was pasty but now like a baked cake. Pls what went wrong, I got worried because I have already used it to wash mouth. I would really need some clarification so I will know the next thing to do with it

heyllo Sir, the calcium might have been too much, kindly reduce it or leave it out and increase your baking soda. But there's no risk or anything to fear that you used it.

More also, please be very sure you are using the right materials.

Thanks.
