Hello all, nice to be here again. I've been reading this thread as intending mum in faith. Now I can officially say I'm an intending mum. Yeahhh. Pregnant Finally. Intend birthing in Maryland (that's what hubby wants). Gotten intouch with an hospital there. Virginal birth for both doctor and hospital bill amount to 9k dollars. Pls anyone with info on any hospital in Maryland that is abit lesser than this. Yes I've been reading this thread sinceee. I think the only hospital that someone talked about in Maryland is PG hospital with an estimate of 6k. I remember @phema referring someone to some pages. Googled those hospitals and called and one was even giving me a quote of 25k dollars. Pls anyone with any info would be appreciated. Trying to explore more options b4 makin up my mind. Cheers

Hi all,

Earlier this year, I was on nairaland to tell people about a cheap place in Montgomery Alabama and I was shut down and branded a fraud. Outside nairaland, people contacted me and had an awesome stay with low bill hence I left here in peace.

On seeing the doctor today, I was told about calls they got from Nigeria booking appointment and all that.
Firstly, I made the $1200 deal for MY people and if you wanna call the hosiptal be my guest and negotiate a new prize and leave my name out of it.

Cheers

Am new here, came along your post while I was going thru the pages of this thread, please I really need a doctor in Alabama, can you please post the doctors contact here or PM me, thanks in advance.

last month i was refused entry to the USA at the George Bush Airport in Houston and turned back at 28 weeks pregnant and my visa cancelled, i reapplied and the good Lord intervened and my visa was granted without much hassle… i travelled again at 38 weeks (risky i know), i wasn't even asked for a letter from my drs when i boarded the flight… Just recently i delivered my baby girl in Houston…

this is to encourage others, don't give up… reapply and be truthfulmost importantly, always pray for the Lord intervention… smiley

Congrats for the safe delivery of your baby. Kindly tell us the reason why you were refused entry at the POE in Houston? This can help someone in the future. Also you said you were 28 weeks last month September by this time of this month October the calculation should be between 32 and 33 weeks and not 38 weeks. Just thinking........

Congrats on the birth of your baby and the successful re entry. However, you should give detailed reasons you were turned back from Houston so that others can learn. Did you lie at your previous interview? Did you try to hide your pregnancy at POE? Did you travel with sufficient cash to prove that you can pay the bills?

It's not sufficient to tell people to be truthful without telling them the type of truth you mean. The dreaded Houston Customs and Border patrol won't turn you back without a genuine reason so some clarity is needed. Thanks .

We all know why they cancel Visa/deport na, don't we?

I'm very happy she got back into the US but what I love about Nigerians is the way they bring in "God and good Lord" into situations that could have been avoided by being honest in the first place. God must really be patient.

@ Merrymom: we do
@ Tvegas: All your questions are on point.

A lady came to me that she's travelling to New Jersey next month to give birth and her POE will be Atlanta. She said she will just show them her card at the POE since her brother who she will be staying with will be sponsoring her. I told her this is a good case of refusal. When she asked me how much she could take with her as cash I told her $9k. She shouted haha its too much so I asked her how much the hospital bill and doc is she said $6k. Some people are the reason why they are refused and the impression she is giving is that she is not financial capable hence may resort to medicaid. When they refuse them they won't tell people the truth or reason. Anyone that is a regular and faithful reader of this thread that abides by right advice should not have a problem.

So I had my appointment with financial yesterday. Got d old package of $2,888. D sweet part is dat I can use d 250 rebate for my son's circumcision n just add $10. Circumcision costs $260! So in effect d whole thing is $2638! Adonbilivit! Lol! D staff r nice too! This is gonna be good! So I av doctors appointment today (someone just cancelled!). Let me see aw dat goes too. I better get d baby shopping over with becos I av a feeling this baby is gonna come earlier than EDD so dat I can get back home ASAP!

Hello freshface, my wife is Maricopa bound and would be leaving in two weeks time. Kindly state how she can secure a place in the same location with you and the cost implication. Contact details would also be appreciated.

Thanx

18k cash hmmmm. For security purpose me I think its too much cash to carry around. 10k not a crime for an individual but you have to declare it by filling a form.
