See your life in the open publicly? Fashola wife is a complete christain, Tinubu wife who ia presently a senator is a complete christain, Former APC National chairman Chief Bisi Akande wife and children are complete christain, Oyo state governor wife is a complete christain. This is the better truth that you guys in the ss and se dont know about the Yoruba. If APC can present GMB/BRF, just tell your GEJ to forget 2015 because it will be a easy ride for APC.

Do you also know that B.R Fashola government of lagos state has ban the wearing of ijab to public school by the Muslim students? You need to learn more.

Ban the hijab only for him to enforce it after entering power...we know better so dont give us d@ crap...its an insult on our intelligence

ok, I agree with your proposition of: let's change govt every 4yrs, but pls, biko, ejoor, emabinu, doo, make we just allow Goodluck finish his 2nd tenure and see...subsequent governments must be 4yrs alone u hear?cheesy

But I repeat: Fashola is over-hyped!! He isn't as good as he is being painted!!

Most of the Nigerians I can vote wholeheartedly as president (late Prof. Chinua Achebe, late Fela O., late Col. Odimegwu Ojukwu, Late Muritala- according to my dad o, Late Maj. Okar, etc) of Nigeria are deadgrin...the few remaining ones are:

1. Prof. Pat Utomi
2. Wole Soyinka
3. Arch. Dr Alex Ekwueme
4. Myself or my able mothersmiley

As for Fashola and co, they have already lost!!!
I've been monitoring your posts. In case, you're thinking of running for a political office, you'd better reconsidered it now, cos no sane man would vote for you,I'm pretty sure that you won't make the primary, talkless of carrying the party's Flag ASK ME WHY? BECAUSE YOUR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT LEADERSHIP IS SUPERCIFIAL AND ARCHAIC(my opinion)LEADERSHIP IS NOT A JOKE(bread and akara) remember that it's only GOD THAT'S PERFFCT. Back to those names you mentioned above, they are good options when one is seeking for a GOOD LEADER, but the cap won't fit their heads when Nigerians are looking FOR A GREAT LEADER like Nelson MANDELA of South Africa.

@post, The comments I've seen so far on this thread serve as an instant reminder of why I chose not to be a slave to religion.
Is this the love Christ preached? Is there anywhere it is written in the bible that only pastors should be presidents of countries? It suddenly seem the Christians are more bigoted than Muslims.
What most of you are doing is to give the neutrals like me more reason not to vote GEJ because it seem the only reason his supporters have for voting him is because he's a christian, though we all know that the country has been worse off under his leadership.
You guys should stop with all the bigotry, its counter-productive.

And how on earth am I supposed to have an intelligent discussion with a bigot that already stated that nigeria is worse off under GEJ.

Let me ask.... By whose standard is it worse off?, yours?, APCs?
By IMF and World Banks, we are better off, by every available economic indices.... We are progressing. My roads are better, my power supply is better, agriculture is better, infrastructures are better, railways are better, our elections are free and fair, we have battled ebola to a stand still, we are battling bokoharam despite the distractions and oppositions, I am hopeful about the FG housing loan I applied for which has been approved (this was advertized nationwide), opposition now has a voice, there is freedom of information that allowed us abuse the presidency, farmers including my friends make humongous amounts of money from product exports....

So I ask you again, by whose standard are thing worse? COS BY MY STANDARD, this is the best it has gotten for us so far and as such GEJ should continue for another 10yrs until we find ourselves some common sense. Our 50yrs mess cannot be cleaned in 4yrs and its stupid to expect immediate return on economic strides that this govt have achieved. However, enterprising minds are already benefiting from the fertile economic terrain.

One thing is clear to me...... No matter who is in power today, imposing sharia law on Nigeria is going to be impossibile because the masses are way too enlightened for that. While Buhari may have expressed suxh sentimentali in the past, is there any proof that he stillthinksthinks Like that?

I would vote for Buhari/ Fashola for the two main things i believe they individually stand for: discipline and progress respectively.

Even if the Sultan of Sokoto and Sanusi (the Emir of Kano) become President and Vice President of Nigeria respectively they cannot islamize Nigeria, yet for me Nigeria's problem is not just about who becomes the president as we are trying to present it. Many of us don't care about what is happening in our states, senatorial districts, LGA etc but we keep on shouting about the central govt as if the people in the other tiers of government are not there to do for the people at the local and state levels what we are demanding from the president at the Centre. I feel Nigerians should begin to give serious attentions to who becomes governor, Senator, LG Chairman etc in their States, Senatorial districts, LGA etc. Everybody is talking about who becomes President as if everything starts and ends with the president. Who told you that the dividents of democracy you looking from can not come from your state governor if the guy is set to work and not to loot. There are governors that didn't do anything tangible in their states for eight years and are now warming up for senate but nobody is talking about them. All we talk about is "Muslim/muslim ticket", "GEJ till 2019", "power must return to the north", "South-south must finish their 8 years", "Sai Buhari" etc as if whoever becomes President in 2015 will magically transform Nigeria down to our respective communities even if our governors, Senators, Rep members etc refuse play the roles.

BEST COMMENT SO FAR.

Please define religious intolerance, did wee not vote Abiola/Kingibe ticket? Have you ever heard of any religious crisis in the South east. The fact is that so much has happened to South Easterners in recent years in d name of religion that we can't afford to just fold our hands, wether we like it or not, religion is a serious political tool in dis country and every party must recognise that, in as much as I don't want us to mix religion and politics yet I can't just wish it away because it is deep rooted in this country. The most religious intolerant region in this country is the North. At every slight provocation they kill and maim our people yet you folks want to force down a muslim/muslim ticket down our throat, my brother if u re in my shoes you won't accept it. Lets call a spade a spade.
SE did not vote Abiola Kingibe, only Anambra did
The remaining three (3) voted Tofa-Ugoh
Tofa won in Enugu, Abia and Imo

As for religious intolerance, you cannot have crisis where thee is virtually only one religion

I hate the fact that religion plays a dominant role in our polity but it is something that in Nigeria cannot be separated from state affairs because the state is sometimes used as an Avenue to promote certain religious beliefs as superior to others.

Northern Muslims in this country see themselves first as Muslims before Nigerians. Nigerian Christians have been forced to sacrifice a lot for the progress of this country but the same cannot be said for the northern Muslims. in our Constitution Nigeria is a circular state but a part of the country practices sharia law to the detriment of the "supposed" christian minority. Nigeria is said to be a circular state yet it is a member of the organization of Islamic cooperation.

I had to go and do a search for a story in which a past minister for foreign affairs of northern extraction during a meeting of the OIC referred to Nigeria as Muslim nation with the largest Christian population. here's the link www.vanguardngr.com/2012/08/minister-nurudeens-islamic-republic-of-nigeria/

As a Christian I'm worried that there is a hidden ploy to Islamize this country and my fears are made more potent by the rise of a known religious extremist in the person of Buhari. The current administration may not be the best we've had but I would take pdp any day to a party run by the likes of the toad-eyed thief tinubu. if not for the fact that the apc has been sabotaging the effort of the present administration we would have had more progress than is presently obtainable.

I urge people vote wisely, i won't tell you to vote for Jonathan but I will shout at the top of my voice Don't vote for Buhari cos he's a religious bigot and don't vote for atiku because he is a C.I.A proxy and as soon as he gets into power will sell us out to America.

A Buhari Fashola ticket from the APC is a sure joker if tactfully played. An average Yoruba man is not a religion freak. Besides, the issue of possible Islamization/ introduction of Sharia is a ploy by those who are afraid of that formidable combination to gain religious sympathy from feeble minded Nigerians. A president and his VP are just an arm(Executive) of the government and can do nothing of that magnitude without the concurrence of the other arms (Legislature and Judiciary). That fear is baseless. It is only been touted by those who want to perpetuate corruption, gross ineptitude and economic malfeasance.

Buhari/Fashola(North/Yoruba) is good but not democratic for Nigeria now. Jonathan/Buhari is better. Let Buhari join PDP on the ground that he may be allowed to serve Turelage as VP till 2019; after that, he may return to APC to contest with Fashola or Okorocha for the Presidency against a new standard bearer of PDP. For now, GEJ/whoever is destined to rule till 2019. The Lord says so! No permutation can wish this off. GMB is still a DICTATOR IN HUMAN SPIRIT.
