@wumee@ baaby I have not gone for hsg o,I got that post from ttc women that has done it before.and some like dasha01 has also done it, just make sure you did it in a reputable diagnostic center.

@wumee@ baaby take cataflam before going for the hsg and you can ask the specialist to use small speculum for you instead of the big one they use for adult,from that post I learnt that if the big speculum is used for someone that the pelvic is small thats what make it painful.

so I met my gyna yesterday and he said he will let me rest for this cycle and give me no drugs I should just continue with bding and eat well.......prior to meeting him, I visited another doctor some couple of days back and he suggested running an all round test for me. So I started with hormonal profile, and this Friday will be starting follicumetry(spelling not sure).

I didn't know hormonal profile is charged separately from day21 progesterone check.
well I let hubby rest this time and decided to foot the bill which is sapping me badly.....God dry.
yea and a pelvic scan as well.

Dh sa is great, so fingers crossed I pray everything comes out beautifully ok with these tests.

i went for another hsg yesterday, my gynae recommended sono hsg but when i got there i realised they wanted to repeat the xray type and after much arguement with them i obliged since they said it was going to be a "digital hsg" that my doctor called to tell them to do digital hsg and not sono, as they were about to start, the sonographer found out my cervix was closed again and at that point i started wailing cos i cant understand why it keeps happening when my last hsg is less than one month, i begged the guy to use the smallest instrument first before inserting the normal one and he didnt agree, i went through a lot of pains, i cried so much and could not be consoled by any body i almost wanted to tell them to stop that i dont want this baby again but i just had to hold back my words, when they were done i got some bad cramping that i had to call dh who got so furious and would have created a scene if he knew where the diagnostic centre was,he knows i hardly cry and can bear pains a lot but for me to cry to a point i couldnt talk well, got him scared that some thing must have gone wrong, i woke up this morning looking like someone that went for a burial or someone that lost election,

Please where did you do your surgery? My hubby of diagnosed of this same varicocele two years ago but we are afraid of surgery my dear. He said he prefer ivf with icsi to surgery but that is money even if I have said half of the money already . but what I want from my heart us a miracle.

Kingsyze and guys, what is the best option? Surgery or icsi?

I have read articles of the surgery not helping and some give result in three months.

In your case, I see its only God cos it did not improve even after surgery.

In our case we could make it to 3m with drugs and serious fruits eating without surgery though he stopped and it went down to 900 thousand count.

Am confused . when I read your testimony I passed my phone to him and we called to urologust for the surgery but he don't pick up. Maybe we need some infor from experienced papas like you.

My sister, I will advise your husband goes for the surgery, Vericocele kills sperm cells. Mine was done by a Professor in Urology, I was scared but had to be a man and take the risk for my family. Above all, don't forget the place of prayers... even if its only two sperm cells available in the semen, it takes the grace of God to push one to fertilize that egg. Let him try Afretaron and enhanz while you also will be on your own fertility supplement. I was planning to go for IVF in August but missed the session not knowing that God had us in his list already for that month! He gave it to us free of charge like he gives other people and it feels so much good to see my wife lazing around!

@erutoria, i will suggest you hold on with the clomid till your dh test confirms he's okay before you can start so you dont have to do many cycles, continue with the metformin and you can take vitex or fertilaid while waiting for dh test,

@erutoria, pls dont mix vitex with clomid or bromocriptine. if you are on Orthodox then maintain just one so you don't end up frustrating the hormone.

@erutoria, vitex cannot be combined with clomid as they do same thing, in my opinion, i dont think you should stimulate your ovaries with clomid if your husband still has to under go some test and treatment cos it will be of no use.....but you can stick to your doctors advise if that is what you want.

Good day fam . God is an ever faithful God. He just gave me a BFP when I least expected. Pls help me praise the lord o. I still can't believe it.

This month was the least of the months I believe I could get preggy. Cos we BDed only twice and there was no EWCM. I was just like "I don't care anymore jare" even though I cry everyday whenever the thought of ttc crosses my mind. I even ditched this thread and unfollowed it last week cos it affects me emotionally whenever I read what we are all going through.

I didn't even have one single symptom this month. Since I have been ttc, I get all the symptoms of pregnancy I don't usually get before my period when I was single. So every tww was always a hopeful one for me until af shows it ugly face and shatters the hope. Then I pick myself up and start again. But this month was different, I don't know why. I never had any symptom. My breast was not sore or big and I never felt nauseous like I have done in the previous months. Infact I had already brought out a new sanitary pad from where I usually hide it after every af(always hoping I will never have to use it again for the next 9months), lol. But as God would have it, af didn't come. My period is pretty regular so that came as a huge shock. I waited all through the day and saw nothing. So I went to the chemist to get a pt strip. Another funny thing about this month is I don't have any pt strip at home and the reason is cos I have explored all my options of buying them from new pharmacies around. I buy up to 10 every month( I am a test addict) and because I don't want them to recognise my face I buy from different pharmacies every month. I do this for blood pt test too. Lol. I travel very far from my house to get a blood pt test done sometimes when the symptoms are too much and urine pt strip say negative. I was that obsessed with getting a BFP). Everything I think about revolves around getting pregnant.

But God works in mysterious ways. His ways are not our ways. He does his things when it suits him and no one can question him. Am just so happy and I don't know what to say than to just say thank you to this mighty God that turned my tears into laughter. He's an ever faithful God and he honours his word. He will do what he says he will do. It may take time, but he will sure bring his word to fulfilment.

Am always anxious to know what women who got bfp and share there testimony on this thread did differently in the cycle they got their bfp. So I will be doing that. Just to help other ttc mamas put their mind at ease and may be change one or two things in their routines. It might help.

Here are the things we did differently this last cycle:
1) I stopped using pregnacare conception. I used it for 4 consecutive cycles and seriously that stuff really messed with me. It makes me get all the pregnancy symptoms you can ever think of in the world and at the end af shows. It also makes my period very very painful. The last I had that much painful period was during my teenage years. I managed to use the supplement for those 4 months cos I usually relish in the thinking that it will give me the vitamins and nutrients necessary for getting my bfp. May be be the build up of the supplement in my body helped or may be stopping it helped, I don't know. But it's worthy of note.
2) We never BDed during the two weeks wait. This is a major thing I noted too. Cos I was very sad althrough my last cycle and havinh intimacy didn't feel like it. It was not a conscious decision on our part to avoid it, it just happened. intimacy was already feeling like a chore for both of us so even hubby didn't disturb me for that two weeks.
3) I used an Opk again since I stopped using it 3months into our ttc journey. That stuff is pretty expensive, lol. But I don't know what spirit pushed me to buy it last month. I got a big positive and we BDed that day and the day after only.
4) I drank a lot of yougourt. I read some where that diary is not good for ttc. So I have been avoiding it. But this cycle, I just didn't care anymore. Lol. I drank about 4packs of Hollandia plain yourgourt during the tww. Lol. May be it helped, I don't know.
5) I ate a lot of carrots. I planned cooking fried rice so I bought excess of it. And started crunching on the left overs. After eating those set, they tasted so good so I got alot from my aboki and stocked my fridge with them. I ate them throughout my cycle.
6) I didn't eat any pineapple throughout my cycle. I usually eat pineapple in excess during my cycle expecially the core during my tww. But that didn't happen this last cycle.
7) Prayed and prayed and prayed. I do this crying almost every day. I don't know where the tears came from. I had lost hope. I was already picturing myself coming to this earth and leaving without children. The devil planted that picture in my brain and when it comes I cry bitterly no matter where I am. . But God shamed the devil. He did what only him can do. No one else could have done this. I give all glory to God. To him I return all the honour. He alone is worthy.

This long post is just to encourage someone in here. Don't despair. God that did it for billions of women all over the world will do yours too. Just keep a song of praise in your mouth. A woman on this thread wrote that she was singing " faithful is our God" all through till she got her bfp. I did same this cycle too. I was always hammering on the "Am reaping the harvest God promised me, take back what the devil stole from me" part. Today am rejoicing, yours will come too in Jesus name. Just hold on to God. He's the redeemer of our strength. He has promised never to leave us or forsake us. This too shall pass my sisters. I love you all
