Question01:
[s]The only group worth considering is the Army of Mujahidin(AM), formed primarily to resist ISIS but even then, it remain to be known if AM oppose ISIS out of disapproval of ISIS methodology and teachings or out of suspicion that ISIS is a secret wing of Asaad wrestling back regions already liberated from Asaad 's grip.
There is need for you to group ISIS opposition in two.
A. Groups fighting ISIS as a means to an end.
B. Groups fighting ISIS as an end in itself.
The second group is what i seek. None of your examples so far falls here. They fall within the first group. Some of which like Al qaeda are just as vicious as ISIS and others like Kurds would undoubtly disarm once ISIS move out of their region.[/s]

I suggest rather than fart out theories, you take time to read decent commentary and news on the issue. cool

Sweden has officially recognised the state of Palestine, Stockholm's foreign minister has said, less than a month after the government announced its intention to make the unprecedented move.

Groups?

Why not countries?

Where are the Pakistani, Saudi, Kuwaiti, Iranian etc armies stomping the efforts of ISIS?

ISIS could be stopped in one day.

Just look at Europe as an example. Rebels are smashed by organised armies in a matter of hours. Can you ever imagine Russia listening to the babbling of anti-Russian rebels? The rebels will be bombed to kindgdom come.
Re: Islam For Muslims: Side Talk Station by Question01(m): 4:04pm On Oct 31, 2014
Seriously, i do not expect any meaningful contribution from those countries when all they they could do during the Palestinian plight was to curse US or Isreal.
Besides, do they even have an army? Six of them banded against Isreal in 1948 and lost.

Jack, do you expect oppressors like Saudi, Kuwait, Iran or Pakistan government or Mullahs to liberate the oppressed in another domain? You mean Saudi and Kuwait that indoctrinate those fanatics and turn a blind eye to private donors to Islamist insurgencies, Iran that just hanged a 26 years old for possibly defending herself against a rapist or Pakistan that is about to hang a Mother after 3 years of incarceration for alledged blasphemy?

ISIS cannot be compared with some rebel groups in the West, easily wiped out by the government. ISIS is the product of the quest for a sharia state, an ideology that when you look beyond the battlefield, appeal to a vast fraction of mainstream muslims.

An Early Scholar's Thoughts on Today's Political Climate

In his explanation of the Qur'an, Imam al-Qurtubī relates that Caliph Solimān bin 'Abd al-Mālik planned to stop by Medina on his way to Mecca. Once there, he asked,
"Is there anyone left in Medina who met the Companions of the Prophet (God's peace and blessings be upon him)?" He was told, "Abū Hāzim."

During the course of a rather frank conversation, Solimān asked Abū Hāzim his thoughts about how his family had taken power. Abū Hāzim's response is one that could benefit us today:

" Leader of the Faithful! Your forefathers conquered people with the sword, taking power by force without consulting them or seeking their approval (pleasure), ultimately massacring them in droves."

One of Solimān's courters interrupted Abū Hāzim saying, "This is absolutely false, Abū Hāzim!"

Abū Hāzim responded, "You are lying. Allah took a covenant from the scholars that they must clarify the truth and not hide it from anyone."

Moved by his words, Solimān implored,
"How can we rectify this?"

Abū Hāzim said,
"Stop being arrogant, stick to the truth and be just to everyone."

Later on, Solimān sent him 100 dinār that Abū Hāzim quickly returned it saying,
"If I am not pleased that you have this money, how could I be pleased with it for myself?"

(Note: Caliph Solimān bin 'Abd al-Mālik broke the tradition of the Umayyad on hereditary rule. He appointed Umar ibn Abdul Aziz as his successor. Umaribn abdul Aziz is one of the greatest leaders in Islamic history, after the prophet and the four righteous successors.

I have a feeling all these chaos around the world and mostly in Muslim societies may be a grand plot, or series of grand plots. May be partly orchestrated by the enemies of Islam but also partly by the ignorance, selfishness and sin-soaked nature of Muslims themselves. Ultimately all these schemes by friends and foes alike plays into scheme of the grand Planner Himself - Allah. Because all these unfolding events serve to degrade and weaken the curruption ridden and entrenched tyrannical structures found all over the Muslim world today. In the end when both the fought and fighter gets wornout or the next generation neither knows nor understand the cause or the course of their fight, swords will be seathed and guns put down, and a deserving peace, unity and tranquility will descend from above on the Muslims. And then, only then will they deserve leadership of the earth and those on it.

Read something similar on aljazeera,

A permanent political settlement is almost impossible, as the underlying factors behind these conflicts - the deep rooted suspicion between the Sunnis and Shias, their endless efforts at gaining the upper hand on the other, and the ever changing tribal affiliations, and the US hands in always promoting that suspicions into enmity - are too huge.

The best way forward is for the regional powers to sit together and churn out a working formulae, based on compromises, trying to accommodate the critical concerns of the other sides, keeping the west's hands away from 'negotiations' , and arrive at a short term solution and stop the fight, and then try to build confidence to work on a longer term settlement. For this , all the critical players must be included in the negotiations - including IS.
Turkey, Iran and Saudi Arabia must bury their hatchet and call for a regional summit towards that direction. Blame games and chanting slogans against each other is the fool's way forward, as the bloodshed continues on the ground.

As of now, the world leadership have managed to create such wedge between the regional players, that, the summit on the middle eastern issues are taking place at Paris, Geneva, New York etc., and they come up with formula regarding which group to support against the other...!

It is unfortunate muslims living today have failed manage our diversity rather some exploit it for their selfish and narrow objectives. Similarly regimes abroad with its designs and objectives have capitalize upon this. Eventually the real struggle is all about who dominates, some are pledging their allegiance to their patron saint of protection, US the other pledging their allegiance to the their patron saint of protection, Russia, in all this one is left wondering when did commonsense die? During Muawiyyah's conflict with Ali r.a, it never got to the extent that any of the party went seeking help abroad or from people not considered trustworthy, . . . Muawiyyah was reported to have warned the Persians if I remember correctly that he would join hands with Ali r.a if they ever tried capitalizing on the conflict. The arab leadership seem to have learn no lesson from their history, they joined hands with the British and scheme against the Turks, only to be rewarded with colonialism and serfdom, today they pledge allegiance to various entities who apparently do not give a damn on how many people die so long as their unstated objectives is being met, sadly there is such a thing as 40 years of civil war.

When the Norman Crusaders conquered Sicily from the Muslims after a series of bizarre setbacks (like the Christian army being attacked by giant tarantulas in 1064), their treatment of the conquered Muslim subjects, wherein they did not forcefully convert them to Christianity, is often heralded as an example of Christian tolerance in an age of overwhelming Christian brutality. But the Muslim population faded into oblivion within 200 years. How this happened in spite of the Norman "tolerance" is rarely mentioned.

After an amazing period of cultural and even religious exchanges between the Muslims and Christians in what is called the Norman-Arab-Byzantine culture, in 1224 the Norman King Fredrick II had decided Islam would be a friend no more. He deported all the Muslims from Sicily to Lucera where they could practice their faith but the Muslim scholars were forced to leave Norman lands altogether. On Lucera they banned training in Islamic law (in spite of the irony in Norman Sicilian law being based upon it) leaving a Muslim population of laymen with no one of Islamic authority to conduct their religious affairs. This led to a secularism amongst the Muslims that was extraordinarily unique for such a religiocentric time in world history. It led to the disappearance of Islam from Southern Italy.

We hail "tolerance" as a laurel of equitable civilizations but sometimes merely tolerating your neighbors isn't enough to secure their freedoms and it can even be used, as did the Normans of Sicily, to slowly erase a civilization.

When Salah al-Din liberated Jerusalem in 1187, he refused to massacre the city's population as the Crusaders had done in 1099. He instead let them all leave with their possessions if they paid a small ransom. For those who could not afford it, Salah al-Din personally paid for their freedom.

Ironically, many of those people escaped to the Crusader county of Tripoli, where they were robbed of their possessions by other Christians

Charity begins at home.

Dear Ummah,

It is easy to complain about the oppression of muslims in the West. It is easy to say that "they" treat muslims as if they are terrorists. However, we should not forget that there is also oppression of non-muslims in the Middle East and other muslim societies.

It is easy to complain about the ban of hijab or any type of veil in France. However, we should not forget that there are many muslim and non-muslim women who are forced to wear the hijab or cover up in islamic societies as well.

The holy prophet (peace be on him and his progeny) said:
"Do not lengthen (the hair of) your moustaches, for the Shaytan makes it a haven for himself and conceals himself there"
~al-Kafi, vol. 6, kitab al-Ati'mah wa al-Ashribah, chapter Bab al-Awani.

Imam 'Ali (as) also said:
"Do not drink water from the broken portion of the vessel nor from the portion of the handle, for surely, the Shaytan sits upon the handle and the broken portion."
~al-Kafi ^
************

Ayatullah Makarim Shirazi explains:

The word 'Shaytan' is derived from the roots 'sha-ta-na' which means "impure and base".

Shaytan refers to entity that is rebellious - irrespective of whether it is of the humans, jinn or animals...From the usage in the Qur'an, it can also be inferred that Shaytan is used to denote a harmful being - one who has deviated from the right path and has embarked upon a mission of distressing others...

Thus, it becomes clear that one of the meanings of Shaytan is 'harmful microbes.'Nevertheless, this does not mean that it possesses this meaning on all occasions and in all instances. Rather, it means that Shaytan has several meanings, one of the most obvious of them being 'Iblis and his assistants'; another being 'corrupt humans'; while at times it is also employed to refer to 'harmful bacteria.'

Let me tell you a short Story my dear brother.
The Title: The Unrepentant Troll
Story,story, Story! Once upon a time,time time!.

Once upon a time, there lived a guy an atheist named Logicboy(aka Macdaddy,Abdulsleek,Babadeen,Jackbizzle till infinity). This certain atheist is so obsessed with Islam and The muslim section. This certain individual is also a liar,a folk that doesn't live by his words. He once said
Logicboy01: Important points to note -This is my last thread/topic on islam.I have given up since the latest drama from that section.
www.nairaland.com/1937130/10-lessons-learnt-islam-nairaland

But this certain individual can NEVER keep to his words. He went to open threads on Islam with his other ghost monikers, examples are:
https://www.nairaland.com/1975701/should-muslims-partake-halloween-big
He created another one inviting his bossom friend(aka Mr 'Modern Muslim').The thread was deleted by the mod for certain reasons.
This certain individual once sat in front of his computer for good five days trolling the religion and The Islam section, take his words.
Macdaddy01: I have been on Nairaland non-stop this whole week bashing religion.I have not shaved or left my house in a whole 5 days! (I'm on holiday).
www.nairaland.com/936542/why-it-sweet-bash-religion
Imagine that, We know the so called holiday is a fallacy and his imaginations. But this certain guy claimed he is a consultant, but does anyone knows a consultant that is always on holiday all time?

By the way,to show how jobless this individual is and how obsessed is he with our dear moderator Brother Maclatunji, he even went on to composed a song for his stupidity.

Macdaddy01: You can try but never stop me
This is what I'm made of
I will never ever let go
This is what I'm made of
No one can control me
'Cause this is what I'm made of
You can hate but never break me
This is what I'm made of This is what I'm made of
www.nairaland.com/1026603/song-maclatunji-logicboy-aka-macdaddy01

Yes,brother Maclatunji can't even stop your obsession and stupidity, peak milk it's you.Trolling is your blood, just flowing through your veins with your heart pumping it harder.
To cap it all,tpia5 has an interesting point to tell us about this guy's obsession.

tpia5: I think the troll is the one who opens multiple threads a day simply to rain insults on others under various ids.
And spends two hours composing a thread or post.Your obsession with maclatunji is interesting though, however, i do mind my own business and i dont pokenose into wetin nor concern me.
www.nairaland.com/1064535/what-really-happens-islam-religion
As we can see, this guy is well-known troll. He graduated with a first class degree in Trolling and its related activities, still chasing his master degree in it by God's grace.

Finally,a sister beautifully explains what's really happening to this individual she says

prairie: Do you want to know my view about you logicboy?
Well I think something terribly bad happened to you in your life that shook you to your foundations and maybe your faith wasnt strong, you needed a little more push before you gave in to the fallacy that there is no God, but going by your nature, you are an attention seeker thats d reason why u are on nl all day trying to validate urself by being in one arguement or the other because you have made that your essence. If you do not get comments on your thread or no one acknowledges you, you become jittery and unhappy
www.nairaland.com/1194798/logicboys-successes-failures-nairaland

Words!!!.Is more still needed to be said about this guy? I don't think so.
This is the end of my story, until we come your way next time.Thanks.
