I admire the steadfastness of the law makers who adopted extraordinary means to serve the people who elected them, against threats to their lives by agents of the establishment. The Police are yet to reveal why they deployed maximum force to stop a select number of lawmakers from going to work. Also, from the Police video, armed officers standing in the way of a moving vehicle with drawn weapons. The Speaker must have been suspected of cold blooded murder or armed robbery to deserve such attention. The IGP is not showing enough tact and civility in this case. And to imagine that the fellow will oversee security arrangements before and during the elections is unsettling.

Are you surprised or don't know how unlearned the Nigerian Police Force is? The stand-up comedian, Gandoki, called them village boys.

And leaving it in the hands of omisore, obanikoro, akala, gbenga daniel, bankole, bode george is the best option?

Those guys listed above are the true definition of rascals, radicals, robbers, criminals and killers. Their trackrecord is there for you to see.
These are the ones you wish Jonathan handover Southwest politics to?
Think!! Mr.
God bless you

We are witnessing gross abuse of executive power by the presidency and the total retrenchment of the principle of separation of power, which is the hallmark of any democracy, the presidency is not oblivious of recent happenings in the House of Rep, if the speaker of the House of Representatives can't gain entrance into his hallowed chamber without being harassed, how on earth did the David Mark find his way into the chambers?

A lot of egos have been bruised, it's a shame these are the sort of criminals Nigerians would vote back into the office, it's a viscous cycle..

NIGERIA AS A NATION IS BIGGER THAN ONE PERSON, HISTORY HAS PROVEN YOU CANT HOLD NIGERIA TO RANSOM..

Stop being an ignoramus bros. Many Rep Members scaled through the fence on Thursday. However, only two were shown by the media houses. The guy in suit is the Dep. Minority Leader [APC] from Kano State, while the one in white Ankara who attempted slapping David Mark is a PDP Lawmaker from Niger State. So, why are you trying to make it look like only an APC Rep scaled through the gate?!

Now we can see that when a man is not stable in all his ways, the house simply falls apart. As at today this government has crated more divisions and monsters alike

I'm amazed at nigerians. These reps scaled the gate to DEFEND your right to democracy! They sacrificed their well being to ensure a dictator does not succeed in truncating the rule of the people. What Jonathan did through the IG of police was a coup against our democracy! And all we can do is laugh and compare them to school children. We are so content with the presidential coup that occured on that day that we call our representatives 'naughty'. No wonder the military era lasted so long!

My dear no citizen is precious. In every normal Country the so called number 4 citizen will respect police before complain. In this case it was different. These men should be ashamed of their actions.

I will never commend an act of indiscipline. What is wrong is wrong. Two wrongs can't make one right. Those reps showed a great deal of indiscipline to the world, and I wonder why people commend them. The police was also wrong in their act and I feel the IG of police should be questioned (David Mark has already summoned him).
Howcome no one is considering that the senate president was also delayed by the police for about an hour before he was eventually allowed in? Howcome some people fail to realise that the reps shut out were both from the pdp and apc? Will the pdp shut out it's own members if it had plans to impeach Tambuwal on that day? Is it right for members of the house of reps to shout at, abuse, and even assault the Senate president ?
My fellow nairalanders, don't allow party affiliation cloud our sense of judgement. Let's judge based on facts. The police was wrong, the lawmakers were wrong, and we can't say it was an order from the presidency because there are no facts backing that.

The police will be snatching ballot boxes for PDP in the next election with what they are practising now.
