Well gej has only been there 4 less dan 3yrs maybe after 2019 somebody will complete his uncompleted projects n he also will qualify as hero. He'll certainly leave some after 8yrs 4 someone to shine with. Hope u've learnt to b honest in ur judgement. 1 Like |

Obiagelli:Talking about strikes by university lecturers, OBJ'S era witnessed the longest and most frequent strikes in Nigeria's history. Find out. You can call the universities GEJ built secondary schools but every great thing starts small says mr history. Health workers strike is a demonstration of the liberalism and civility of GEJ. No time in Nigeria's history have health workers been paid so high. 2 Likes |

youngeagle:Talking about people calling the President names. The accessibility to the Internet and information contained is increasing at a very high rate. Even if obj was president and Buhari, the vice president. That won't stop people from voicing out their opinions on the Internet. The power of the Internet is so strong that obj and buhari will go broke if they try to stop/curb the insults and opinions. Go to religion section and see the number of Nigerian atheist there, despite the fact that Nigeria is amongst the top 5 most religious countries in the world. |

A Yoruba socio-cultural group, Oodua Development Initiative, has berated former President Olusegun Obasanjo for describing President Goodluck Jonathan’s performance as below average. The patron of the group, Mr. Yinka Odumakin, said Obasanjo mismanaged Nigeria during his over 10 non-consecutive years in office. Odumakin said under Obasanjo, Nigeria was adjudged the most corrupt country in the world by Amnesty International. He also maintained that most of the problems the Jonathan administration was grappling with cropped up during the Obasanjo administration. He, therefore, warned the former President to keep quiet as he had no moral high ground to evaluate Jonathan’s performance. He said, “We believe the evaluation is the continuation of a vendetta against Jonathan. When he reported that Jonathan’s performance was below average. It is important to let Nigeria know that there is no patriot in the country that will not admit that Nigeria is facing challenges. “But Obasanjo cannot be the conscience of the nation, he cannot be the man to be pointing fingers at others when we know his scorecards. He was a military leader for three years and a democratically elected President for eight years. “We all know that it was under Obasanjo that Nigeria was voted the most corrupt country on earth. We had the Siemen scandal, the Haliburton scandal, the National Identity Card scandal. So, Obasanjo must explain to Nigerians how a man who came out of prison with N20, 000 is now a very rich man with universities and libraries.” Odumakin maintained that Obasanjo was not a democratic leader, adding that during Obasanjo’s administration, governors were dubiously removed including former governors Joshua Dariye of Plateau and Rashidi Ladoja of Oyo State. He said it was under Obasanjo’s that the Odi massacre occurred in Bayelsa State where hundreds were killed. In the area of insecurity, he said, “Have you forgotten that the seed of Boko Haram was sown during the time of Obasanjo when some governors started to introduce Sharia rule and Obasanjo looked the other way?” http://www.punchng.com/news/obasanjo-not-justified-to-criticise-jonathan-group 3 Likes 2 Shares |

youngeagle:there is hate here. At least not from me. The problem is we've had it sooooo bad we don't know how good it's supposed to look like again. I speak free cos the freedom of speech guarantees that, not the federal government. My stand is that.. I deserve better than what I'm getting from my leaders. While the leaders do nothing in their capacity they keep asking the common man to make a change. Leaders lead by example and pdp has failed woefully with that 1 Like |

The quality of the graduates shouldn't be placed on GEJ's shoulders. One thing is to create an environment for people to learn and the other is to actually have people who are willing to learn properly. People who can't pass jamb and ssce without using expo, obviously won't come out of university with good grades. The president won't read for them,or force them to read. Blame that on the society and failure of parents to teach their kids, what is right. majekdom2: 1 Like |

PhockPhockMan: chronique:bro , the issue of the incompetence of the students and jamb is a different story. What I mean is the quality of the environment you just said. is the environment created by good luck world class or does it try to match up to world class , if no , then we are deceiving ourselves. I graduated with good grades both at the ssce and university levels with my efforts but the truth is I did not match up to my peers from foreign universities. I say this because I have met with some during official trainings.Tho , am picking up , developed myself , but the fact remains I was once a reflection of a substandard educational system. It is not just building blocks and recruiting jobless graduates as lecturers. If we keep doing all these , we only deceiving ourselves in the name of development. How many of those universities can compete with other African universities talk more of foreign. You understand now. 1 Like |
