Kano N140 billion,
Katsina N103 billion,
Oyo N100 billion,
Kaduna N 97 billion
Borno N94 billion.

South western state and Northern states need to do more to diversify there economy.
Economic block comprising south south western states like Lagos, ondo, Oyo,Ogun, ekiti and Osun can increase trade among them self self
The same can be said about North western and central states like kwara, Niger, Kaduna, kogi, Kaduna, Kano, katsina, kebi, Zamfara etc.
with a dry port in jos, kano and kaduna... then this states can be self sufficient and generates a lot revenue which will make them self sufficient

I've always tried to restrain myself from commenting on NL and just read through comments and refrain from commenting when someone types my mind but now I have to do this.

How is banking in Nigeria controlled by Delta Igbos?

You're just a fat lair and I've been following your irritating tribalistic and nauseating comments

FYI, Yorubas own and control most of banks in Nigeria from FBN to GTBank, Heritage, FCMB, Wema and Skye. Union and UBA are struggling in my opinion and Access still has a lot of Yorubas and Edos as owners

You can only lay claims to Zenith, Diamond and Fidelity

Now regarding the lies you posted as breakdown, you can click on the link below to see that Yoruba dominated businesses as well as foreign owned ones are the main sources of Lagos' IGR.

http://dailyindependentnig.com/2014/09/lagos-raked-n384b-revenue-2013/

Note that the SW got over 95% of FDIs into Nigeria last year because we've made the environment ideal for businesses to thrive.

And Ogun State currently generates over N6bn monthly from an average of N2.7bn monthly in 2013. It will take your erosion ravaged state 15yrs to catch up. Besides the state plans to generate an IGR of N10bn per month in 2015 which from all indications is possible

http://dailyindependentnig.com/2014/10/ogun-targets-n10b-monthly-igr/

And note that when Amosun became governor, the state was barely generating N730m monthly and he's still in his first term.

This was how Lagos started in 1999 and now everyone is rushing over to enjoy the benefits

Bro, are you taking the deluded bigot and charlatan seriously? All his kind are able to do is pull out imaginary figures from their azz for the sake of nothing else other than proclaiming mythical superiority over others. They, with the wild and shameless lies they tell daily, are probably the most discredited members of this forum.

Compare his silly figures with that below and you will realise that some folks should not even be allowed to discuss in an environment where fact-based truth is germane to the issues under inspection. These are the characters who have given us a reputation as a dishonest Country full of people ready to tell wild and ridiculous lies always.

The 419 ethnocentric and chest-beating "we own and control everything" lies:

The fact-based and statistics-supported truth and reality:
Seven different sectors dominate economic activities in Lagos State, led by manufacturing which, interestingly, contributes 29.60 percent of the state’s GDP figures. Road transport follows closely contributing an average of 26.47 percent of economic activities in the state. Other sectors in order of dominance include building and construction (19.60 percent); wholesale and retail (8.39 percent); telecommunications (3.71 percent); financial institutions (3.51 percent); and real estate (2.01 percent). The seven sectors account for 93.39 percent of economic activities in the state.

Bro, the simple truth is that they have not been able to "replicate" anything anywhere because they work with chest-beating delusions of grandeur and wild lies alone. This is the conclusive reason why individuals who claim they have built good things elsewhere 'oddly' seem incapable of doing so at home. I don't get how some people have no shame at all. You will use outright lies and fallacies to proclaim you have done this and own that yet you can never reproduce such in your own traditional abode where it is most needed. Sadly for deluded fools, we live in an information age and it is very easy today to discredit liars and empty braggarts as I have done here with relative ease.

VERY DUMP POST.

When the high taxes start rolling in - who will be the first to complain. Our leaders are inept. All of them. Everyone applauding Fashola should go back to the archives and find out how come Lagos started implementing its tax policies. It was the rift between Obasanjo and Tinubu on Local government allocations that made Lagos to seek taxes as a way of paying Lagos state civil servants salaries. Lagos was just the same as others - receiving handouts from Federal allocation.

Our leaders has failed us in every respect. They fail to think, they fail to inspire, they also fail to implement sustainable policies to will ensure good economic development. They failed to realised that countries compete against themselves for earth's natural resources and likewise every nation's intends to strengthen their respective economies.

Oil prices can never go up again regardless of whether OPEC cuts production or not and that is a major risk to us. Whether we are diversifying our economy or not, it is a risk of loss in revenue. Since we have failed to think, now we shall reap the pains.

We have elected leaders with intestines inside their brains, a reason why we hear of stomach infrastructures.

Our leaders cannot think. The only economy diversification they will implement is to increase taxes. These taxes will be used to support their frivolous lifestyle. Imagine you paying your governor to embark on his regular sex escapades.

How many governors really sit down to think? How many of them have a strategy plan for their respective state and where they want the state to be. When you ask them, they tell you they have built roads, hospitals and buildings for schools. How many of them have been able to steal and retain the youth corpers that come to their state to serve?

People, diversification of economy does not translate to Internal Generated Revenue. We should be more interested in generating external revenue rather than taxing ourselves. Lagos IGR is both from taxes and federal allocation. The question people should be asking rather than making a huge noise about how much Lagos has been able to tax people, is where are these IGRs going into. How has these monies being used to generate foreign revenue for the country? How has these monies being used to reduce poverty and unemployment situations in Lagos state.

The recent decline in Nigeria's oil revenue has now exposed the lies put forward by the managers of our economy since 1999 and particularly in the past 5years, whose only economic achievement has been the re-base which now placed it ahead of SA, nonetheless an average Nigerian cannot feel the impact of broaden economy in their lives. While the wool has been pulled out of Nigerians who now see how they have been deceived, misled and cajoled into believing that we have been making progress, the rest saTANist who are wandering on this forum in an attempt to water down the achievement of Lagos increased IGR championed by Tinubu and Fashola are only on a futile mission with their comments laced with envy, they should rather channel their energy to their respective governors who has been using their money to play KALOKALO to come and learn from Lagos how IGR is being generated
