Normal, even main battle tanks have far less armour on the sides and thicker armour on the front, check out most heavy tanks.

Then the frontal BMP-2 protection is against 23mm not 20mm, the same 23mm will tear all SANDF Ratel and Badger IFV into pieces.

You did't know that before you started writing garbage about BMP-2 armour. Fool !

http://www.armyrecognition.com/russia_russian_army_light_armoured_vehicle_uk/bmp-2_ifv_tracked_armoured_infantry_fighting_vehicle_data_sheet_specifications_pictures_video.html

.

Actualy combat experance has had the BMP pentrated on the frontal arc by 12.7mm fire.

There is a add on armour kit for the ratel that gives the frontal armour protecstion of up to 23mm

Face it the BMP serries is crapp. They get slaught in every war they fight in.

Where did I say that? Nope.

All photos show Bokos ZSU-23 on Toyota or odd types with NO marking of NA on it.

Chad has been proved to be weapons source for Boko as well as Sudan and that proves what I said about Boko ZSU-23 looking odd
.

Video evidence shows BH capturing it from you.

But, the ZSU is not a threat to an advanced military.

Its a threat to the NAF... so what does that say about the NAF?

While not the best, the vicker Mk III is certainly a sophisticated war machine.its operates a 105-mm rifle, and loads up to 50 rounds of ammunition with a 450km range.it support a bulkload of varieties of NATO ammunitions, along with anti aircraft missiles.the vicker is one of the world best MBTs,even until now.

Unstabilized gun, no modern FCS, no composite armor only RHS, no modern range finder

Its a terrible obsolete tank and it will be target practice for the olifant

BMP-2 has superior 5.5 km range 9M133 Kornet missiles, Ratel gets killed from distance cheesy
.
There's a South African upgrade too which includes the Ingwe missile.

Nigeria doesn't have Kornet missiles.

And your 2 ATR will do this how. It will be under constined EW attack and attacked by gripens. All so it uses a sea survalnce radarfinding a G6 or G5 at max radar range will be imposbil.

You milltary spends all it's effort fighting rebels. SA trainins to fight nastions.

I just posted proof this morning that NAF ATR-42 has been doing ISTAR role perfectly against Boko Haram that hides among civilians in cities and without uniform or order of battle to identify them.

You sit down with a laptop to judge on internet how ATR-42 does ISTAR ops in land combat theatres, how will you know since the whole nation of South Africa has NEVER touched anything close to a NAF ATR-42 ultra-sophisticated aircraft in your entire national history.

NAF air Marshalls that owns and use the aircraft are final and best world recognised authority on ATR-42 capabilities in real life situations, even the Europeans that produced it are now inferior to NAF in user experience, so when NAF is talking about practicals, SANDF has to shutt up and listen !

If Gripens and Hawks were toys then that would be taken to consideration.

The Nigerian Air Force lost 3 aircrafts

Only 3 losses after NAF flew combat 1,148 times in 60 days. USAF don't fly safer, they crash more. SAAF does not fly combat at all in 20 years, yet they crash Cesana, Rooivalk, Augusta, Rooivalk, Dakota, and Hawk jet.....olodo air force

Nigeria has the worst pilot in Africa including their civilian pilots. There was a very negative reports about Nigerian trained pilots in general.

Yet South Africa is spending millions to build the inferior AHRLAC aircraft for the same role as Scorpion. Mumu grin

AHRLAC is not what really any military can bargain on given their size and speed. It is simply good for ISR.

*350km range- lower range to the vicker

Don't forget the FLIR. And it is cleared to use the mokape ATGM.

NAF Mi-35 Hinds have FLIR and are manufacturer built (NO NEED TO BE CLEARED BY ANYBODY grin) to use Ataka ATGM.

Show me British made Lynx firing South African Mokopa.

Liar, same way you and @Saengine lied to us in last year naval blockade simulation that Rooivalk will fire Mokopa on Nigerian coastal artillery and fire Mistral on Nigerian F-7 jet...you were using missiles that South Africa has NEVER ordered or EVER imagined to purchase ! Liar !

You think 1980 BMP-2 is same as 2014 BMP-2, dummy you are, Russia has done series of upgrades and different versions, the modern BMP-2 fires Kornet ATGM with 5.5km range.

Mumu, I just finished wrecking your lies that NAF F-7 jets are grounded not flying not doing combat

Who I talking about BMP-2 ? See this mumu comparing armoured vehicle and jet fighter! Are you m.a.d ?

This is my post that you just foolishly replied to :

Your link is of 1980s F-7 jet. NAF, PAF, SAF, BAF are flying 2010 F-7 jets with 4the generation radar and missiles.

The SAAF Hawk jet of 2006 is the same as the Hawk jet of 1974, so SAAF flies an obsolete Hawk jet. Equation balanced
