That has always been his lifestyle.

During his first tenure in office back then, I watched him serve prisoners food during easter and he ate with one of them in the same plate. I was moved cos leaders need to come down low to feel the follower's pain once in a while.

I don't know why people are getting agitated over this issue. Ayo Fayose campaigned and won on the promise of stomach infrastructure. He even said he was going to appoint a special adviser on stomach infrastructure (which he did).

From all indications, the people of Ekiti appear to be happy with the "stomach infrastructure" style of governance. We may feel otherwise (I do), but we cannot begrudge them their choice. It IS democracy, after all.

One day, we as a people will outgrow all of this. But for now...

Rotimi Amaechi is owing workers for 2months now, even the newly employed teachers have not received salary for more than 3months, yet he didn't share anything for Xmas to his people. Most roads in rivers state are bad, no electricity etc. Rivers state receives one of the biggest allocation both from FG and IGR, but nobody is talking about that. People should stop criticising Fayose, he's a man of the people.
