You think because you attended a church which is for your own interest, gives you the right to disobey orders. They should just tolerate you anyhow, abi.??

Bro no vex ooo...wetin be the model of ur car? Of course u should have known by now that churches of these days are all "business centres" and your car wasn't worthy enough to be parked there. When u get a better ride u will be hailed by these ushers. NO VEX; as they say...forgive and forget.

As is customary of me, I attended Dunamis Int'l, Abuja today, the 25th day of January 2015.

I parked my car at the garage created for that purpose. One of the ushers in grey suit menacingly approached me and sternly warned me not to park there. Cars were parked beside me without any warning issued to the other drivers.

I had to look around so as to be sure I was not missing anything, after doing this, I told the usher from the pit of hell that the spaces between my car and surrounding vehicles was wide enough for entry and exit (true to my word, the cars that were in the garage when I parked had moved out and other cars had parked in their stead).

At the close of service, I was shocked to discover my tyres had been maliciously deflated. Instinctively, I had to look around for the usher from hell who took offence that I had the audacity to challenge the reasonableness of his instructions, I was not surprised to find he was no where to be found.

Consequently, I approached one of the ushers on ground to make a harmless complaint, I was dumbfounded when he threatened he was going to beat me up if I don't take my car in the state of its deflated tyres out of the garage. I dared him, but sensing I was a little enlightened he exercised restraint.

These two attitudes I experienced today got me wondering what the church of today is turning into. Are these really the signs of end time? If workers in church put up these attitudes (albeit unjustly), can it be said that the preaching that comes up from the pulpit is in anyway purging society of evil, looting, corruption, prostitution and malice?

Whilst I respect the grace and will continue to respect the grace and anointing of the Senior pastor of the church, Dr. Paul Eneche, I wonder what a christian whose faith is still shaky will do in my circumstance.

This post is actually a clarion call for pastors to be wary of the character that surrounds them, because these workers are the image the public has of the church.
I won't comment until I hear the other side of the story...

No man can be an authority unto himself. If I get you right, it might just be Ok for me to obey an instruction if to roll on the floor because the instruction arose from an authority?
Then, you can't learn under the authority you can't obey. I m sure you are one of those that do stress ushers in the church when giving instruction about where to sit or not.
Talking about evil in the church.....the greatest evil you can ever think of is disobedience. Both of you were wrong!

The Usher was very wrong. But how do we verify that the incidence took place in the church premise as the pictorial evidence does not show it?

This is a reflection of the fact that most Nigerians have no sense of regard for law and order as compared to civilised folks in the west and europe. You see this being shown when there is hold up or traffic Jam and such also in situation as displayed by the poster.
If he had simply followed the instruction of the Usher like an amiable gentleman, he would have saved himself from this embarrassing situation.Who is the loser?

From your explanation I think you don't obey simple instruction. You may have parked wrongly and you felt too big to be talked to even when the ushers did your were stubborn. Learn to obey the ushers and remain blessed thank you .

@OP..am sure u went to worship God,but why didn't you obey the Usher..obedience is better than sacrifice u know? I always wonder why we christians tend to Be disobedient wen it comes to church environment..I mean,if you had gone to any bank an meet a stern-looking security agent, who in turn "orders" you to park in a certain lot...am sure you wud obey "sharperly" witout complai, but because of "familiarity"(not justifying wt d usher did),but they are men "under authority"as well.

Whoever flattened your tire is very very wrong but op you were very very wrong. Some Nigerians are lawless. You see the poor ushers controlling traffic n not that they get a cent yet you holy bros/sister can't just obey. Even if people could still pass, do you know who or what that space was for?

Truly the usher is from the very pit of hell and his nasty and unruly behaviors is a product of the head his department.
He must have been doing same to several other members and does it means nobody cautions him? We are living in a so-called religious society and he wants to fight for God.

Bros! Recently most church are not preaching what they are meant to preach. They are contributing to the instability in the society. Their belief is that there is a big gap between car and motor and rich and poor. Can you imagine in some churches they have different chairs for different calibre of people. So take solace and be prayerful

The topic is misleading.l thought it was that the American hip-hop star-Usher Raymon that deflated the op's tyres and then threathened to beat him up.That was my first reaction until l read the story. Not my fault though entertainment news have now taken over the FP thus l was expecting to read something like that.Meanwhile the op probably walked out on the usher after parking his car(according to the story above)without bothering to even ask for the man's views. You should have ask for his reasons for not allowing you to park at that particular space. This singular act have really put a dent on the usher's ego and in such a situation one can only expect the same situation the op related above.Anyone that have watched the movie "Phone Booth" by Joel Schumacher will understand the lenght by which people can go to prove a point when they felt belittled. You only need to go to public places-like bank to see how these high & mighties treat securities guards with disdain when they try to prevent them from parking or any offer that is contrary to their comfort.Let's be respective in our dealings.lt takes nothing away and costs nothing.
