They sold me the pole for N15,000 and lifted it with a Hiab truck for N7000 till it was installed. I waited for them so I could document the mechanical hoisting of the pole but when they didn't come quickly, I went to the market for some materials. By the time I returned, the pole has been cast with concrete by my workers.

Thank you sir. I may just go ahead and use the tree pole then... But that price is not bad though.

They are officials of EEDC (Enugu electricity distribution company) and they are in charge of the whole region. They are upgrading their operations now. I paid N150 naira for each meter of cable (naked aluminium cable) and the company took N18,000 for the connection fee. I have not paid for meter yet.

Thank you sir. I am supposed to be doing same here in Lagos in about a week, I may be using tree Pole though and a Prepaid meter, since I am not residing there for now. I thank you for all the info.

From previous pictures i was beginning to imagine this roof was brown and was wondering cos i followed the installation and saw it was green. I think what happened was that it got dusty and obviously it has now rained in that area and cleaned it up.

Yes it rained heavily in this area of Enugu yesterday. The dust was especially bad on this house because all the roads leading to this street are not tarred, always dusty.

How can you tell which colour matches a house?
Or do you mean the colour does not match the roof? In that case I think it does perfecto!

The color on the upper part looks very good to me. But the dark green has dominated so much to make the building look like a military facility, too strong. A warm pink or purple in place of the green would have been calming.

I don't think that colour is bad, look at the last pictures. I think I will post more pictures of the outside later.

Do you guys really think that people renting this flats care about the color the house is painted?
You will be surprised that some of this flats are already rented... Tenants care about the amenities inside.
This is a rental flats people... The tenants don't own it.. Seriously.

Personally I don't like the colors either, it looks more like a school, but who cares, as long as the building is good inside.

The reactions are only but natural. Some may have followed the project from inception hoping to see the building finished off with inviting color combinations. Well, like you said, it's all about the tenants being comfortable inside.
