Op this is total bulshit! That the western media house didn't ask him about his certificate does not translate to us accepting an illiterate to be our president. You are typical of fellows that are still under some form of mental colonialism who believe more on the foreign report more than he believes his own eyes. Get it into your head that this is a sovereign country called Nigeria. Who knows whether the people that asked questions were not selected and given a handwritten questions to ask??

Op, you simply mean that Nigerian law should be bent because of Buhari. Get this straight: Because Buhari does not have school certificate but can express himself in spoken and written English does not in any way take away the fact that we have Nigerians who have suffered to study to acquire certificates and can express themselves in written and spoken English better than Buhari.

I have met many people who don't have school certificates but are good writers and speakers of English language. You cannot justify Buhari's disrespect for Nigerian law with such baseless analogy. That's how Buhari refused to appear before Oputa panel. Are you saying those who sat down to outline (in the constitution) the presentation of school certificate to INEC were fools?

-it was just a panel. it was not a law court.
-The constitution insisted that any candidate vying for president should have atleast Secondary school leaving certificate or its equivalent. Did the ministry of education under which the certificate was issued come out to say the one that was presented to the media was fake?
-If there is respect for the constitution, Jonathan would not have tried to forcefully removed a whole speaker of the house for defecting parties. Afterall, A governor did the same to PDP and nobody lifted a voice against that.
- If there is anybody bending the Law, its Jonathan the other 5 presidents who think they can wield and flex their powers to their biddings.
- If you feel Buhari did not go to school, then you should fault the military and the system that brought him in into the Armed forces.

Please Nigerians, have sense!

Whenever I hear people say buhari is not corrupt always wonder how many Nigerians could be this unreasonable. APC is playing on the minds of Nigerians and they are following them blindly. They said he is honest but all his career is built on deception.

Brilliant post!

What other propaganda can PDP cook up against Buhari that hasn't been busted? Now they have shifted their propaganda on Tinubu and Osinbajo.

The wind of change is coming very fast!!
God bless the General!

Is the certificate issue really a propaganda? I don't think so. I think it is unlawful to lie on oath. The question is that he said or filled in the INEC form that his certificate is with the military, in which the military have denied and publish a letter from the then principal of the school in which Buhari used to enter the Army. I believe he has more than the minimum qualification but the question is did he lied on oath about the certificate custodian?

Good write-up dear. Let me reaffirm you that those who humbly submitted their certificates as demanded by dictates of the land are not fools as you have asserted. But the fools are those, who despite constitutional backing in favour of General Muhammadu Buhari are yet blind to see plainly that alternatives of the constitution guaranteed him to contest. Please get this simply in your brain if u have one.

Don't mind the OP posing as a pseudo-intellectual.

The issue of how to qualify for an elective position in our country is not a matter of US, British or Qatari law. So, CNN, BBC or Aljazeera won't care. They wouldn't even fathom an unqualified candidate going through electoral commision screening successfully. But nothing is impossible in Nigeria.

Rest assured that they (foreign media) would gleefully use it to mock us if it turns out that GMB actually committed perjury by lying under solemn oath of affidavit or wasn't qualified. Refusal to come out and clear the certificate issue demonstrates his aloof disposition and disdain for rule of law, accountabilty or criticism or diverse opinions. The exact reasons his subordinates gave for overthrowing him in 1985.

If Buhari had been suspected of breaching their own (foreign) law, that would be their first question. Don't forget they still see us as a people who just cannot get their acts together.

GMB's refusal to appear at OPUTA PANEL would, in a sane country, render him perpetually unelectable in the eyes of the public.
But in 9ja, we don't know our right from our left.

Even this OP, an under-50 I suppose, still doesn't believe that integrity is paramount. That the onus is on a condidate to comply with every law, irrespective of status, position or whatever.

what is rule of law? does it exist in Nigeria? your president is the number one offended of the constitution and rule of law. Buhari's certificate issue should be a shame to the people tallking about it. I can imagine the buffon that cameup with this silly propaganda and he literally just lit a match stick opn a small dead grass and asked Nigerians to pour petrol on it.
I for one would never believe that Buhari did not attend college. Even if he did not, he has military educational qualifications that are equivalent and higher than an SSCE. He also came on Tv to address the issue of his certificate. He released a copy of his results. What else do you Nigerians want?

MORNDEW:

what has his writeup got to do with Oputa Panel?
.

Simple. Maybe you were a baby in Buhari's regime. So your knowledge of it is what you were told.

Oputa panel was to address human right abuses by dictators during the 80s & 90s.

Appearing would have given answers to the families of Buhari's victims like the Owohs, the Ogedengbes and so on. Who Buhari killed their sons using retro-active decrees.

But he refused to be accountable. The same way he has refused to come out and show his certificate and demonstrate that he is above board. When Obama's detractors (like Donald Trump) spread rumours that he wasn't born in the USA (as ridiculous as the rumour was), he released his Hawaii-issued birth certicicate.

That's what statesmen do. Show respect to the public, supporters and detractors alike.

Don't waste your precious time on this APC boys. They are very ready to tell you that "A" is the same as "B". I hope they help buhari in serving his jail term at old age for perjury. Time will tell.

Certainly, we will not suspend our Constitution because of any man.
