Your employer takes the responsibility of your accommodation, visa, transport and for good hearted once feeding. meanwhile dubai uses dirams. @ elektra, it depends on your agent the 3 months visa could up to 150k or more. If you get a job u would need to exit and reenter with your work visa that will be provided by your employer and that would last for a period of 2 years.

good day @slimup,i ve followed this topic from start.from everything i ve read here it obvious naija certificate is useless abroad/dubai(i have a naija masterd degree in managerial psychology). So slimup am a married man with a 1yr old daughter and wife,i have been outta job for 18months now,if am to think of travelling to dubai what are my options and how do i go about it since only security and driving jobs are there mostly.

The best way is either through direct employment from a trusted fellow or arriving Dubai yourself with 3 months Visa to search job yourself.

If you are serious on going, it means you have made up ur mind to do other jobs apart from your profession. For a start, you will have to leave your family behind, go to Dubai and hunt for the job. When and if you secure it, you can then begin to think of how to relocate your family but it will not be immediately. May be after the first two Years of your contract because there after, you would have acquired the minimum UAE experience that will help you in get a better and well paid job or increase in salary of your present job.

Slimup please I need your clarification. I have a job offer in Dubai, I am through with the interview and all recruitment processes. We are on immigration preps. I just want to ask. Can this salary offered which is 20,000, diram/month be enough for me to manage a family of four? I don't know the cost of living there. But the salary is $5500/month. I know this is about 1.1milion naira/month in Nigeria. But how good is this money in Dubai considering the cost of living there? I need your candid opinion.

yes it is possible to get for under 40s but you need a good agent that knows his job.

Thank you sir! Well it is an oil firm. I guess I have to accept the offer cus my proposal was $6000/month but they offered $5500. As a professional, having considered the global oil price and industry recession, I had to accept the offer. Though there are other perks to it. Thanks for the clarification.

Companies and employers do take care of flight in some in most case but accommodation is a must,you don't pay for accommodation in dubai once you're hired.as for the price, it's a fare one

I would have said its a good deal but for him to add accommodation, I am beginning to doubt his genuiety. Be sure that you know him and trust him wella before parting with such cash. However, if he is genuine, the rate is OK but usually your employer provides accommodation.

@Slimpup...I would really like to get a job in dubai...plz direct me on the way forward cos I hav a foreign degree in the UK and would like to secure one in dubai how do I go about application for the job and securing one ASAP

Like I said before, it is best you are on ground to look for job yourself. Since u have a foreign certificate, u stand a better chance.

@ slimup, if I decide to do my M.sc in Dubai, will I be able to work while studying? And what are the chances of getting a good job after my M.sc in chem Engr.

I am not too sure for post graduate course but for degree, no u can't work. You can only work and do certificate programmes like safety and the likes. You may have to find out from your desired school if u can work study.

What food stuff or otherwise can I come in with... So I can resell?

Can I find a company that can process work visa for me without working with them?

How much can I keep for the work visa/ residency ?

If I can come in with such amount, will you advice me to work( already this is the third time am coming to dubai, subsequent ones were for business on 2 week visa and I only stayed at deira park hotel...
