The only reason to marry a man who earns that amount is when I see his potentials. An intelligent hardworking young man is very scarce because girls percieve them from far.
They endure with them believing that the future holds the best for them.

You don't expect a girl to settle down with someone with (NFA) no future ambition. He becomes a liability always blaming GEJ for his plight.
NFAs are being sought after for...go to churches and see.

Only few ladies in NL exhibit decency. Nairaland filled with heartless, illiterate, lazy, brokeass and gold digging gals. Look at y'all comments, and why is it that ugly biatches r the ones commenting rubbish

If I hear.. U don cast n bind finish? D fact dat he's recivin 50k does nt mean dat he's poor.. My frnd got a job of 40k wit his masters buh within 2mnths after his wedding he got a beta offer in an oil firm, d lady knew wat he wud bcom in d future... Does dat make him a poor husband? Plz dnt make any choice dat u would regret 2mrw... If u like any man wat u would consider is his level of education, if he's smart n intelligent, if he has a bright future. There is a way u will access ur man... I'm a graduate and I studied Met/Mats engineering buh I'm earning less dan 50k now buh dat doesn't mean dat I won't be a gr8 man 2mrw, just wanna start sumwere and gain experience n wait 4 a beta offer. But d difrnce is dat I'm nt getin married yet. So chill my frnd. Its just an advice 4u n 4 oda ladies out there datt would read dis...

Its not really the amount of money you earn that matters but the prudent/judicious way you spend the little you earn.
like the holy book said the blessing of God makes one rich without adding sorrow to it.

With N200k/monthly, I won't think about marriage.

Mind you, N50k can sustain a family of 2 - 3 in some parts of Nigeria.

A man earning N50k in Damaturu, Ado-Ekiti or Oshogbo would surely live a better life than someone earning N120,000 & living in places like Maryland, Alausa (Lagos) etc.

I do not judge people by how much they make; my judgement is based on how well you have managed your resources over a period of time.

Some people have earned these 6-7 digits, and now back to zero level. I do not pray for such.

Well said.
personality matters, but is it limited to low salary earners. There are people who earns good and still have the drive to achieve more.My refusal to do that is majorly because I can't cope with that, except of course my salary is way way better.Again, I pointed out that it may work only if I choose to stay in a place where standard of living won't take much.

Truth be told, a guy with the right mentality would not even marry on 50k sef. I won't!!

pls with due respect, can you tell us how much you currently earn. cos of you earn as much as 50k, combining it will be 100k and that will be enough to start a family. but this time the ladies want Rio fold their hands and turn the man into a donkey.

As much as i like ur take on such meagre amount, some fundamental questions keep on thrusting theirselves: how much is ur current boo earning? What is marriage to u? Lastly, how insignificant is 50k to ur current cashflow ?

Sometimes ladies just amaze me. What is the binding and rebuking for. God forbid you marry him now with the N1.5m and tomorrow he looses that job, what will then happen? The marriage will end? Una never understand o. You know how many men earn N50K and even less than that and yet they are happily married. What you should be praying for would be an upliftment in his life and yours. I pray you get your heart's desire o. But life doesn't start and end there. Money is important but its not everything in marriage.

There's a difference btw what we earn n what we take home, someone can earn 100k as salary yet take home 20k.this is d reality of the country, many take loans to be able to meet basic needs.d questions should have been can u marry a guy whose take home is 50k?(why I go even tell girl wey I just de date my salary)is it not enough that she knows I m working?

Well, your wife is one of the few that risked it.
Unfortunately, I am not one of them.Sorry i am not the type to pretend.Besides, that salary like I pointed out is subject to the environment to which the person is settled. There are places one can live comfortably with such salaries. Therefore women who are very conversant to such area wouldn't mind.

Lol. I married a lady who stayed at Ikeja growing up. She didn't mind moving down to Yaba.
Now, my conscience bites me hard whenever i try to MISBEHAVE because i know she was there when i needed a real Lady.
