@italo... For me, why I think its best we have the online charity under ssvp is cos of flexibility... I believe once started, we might be faced with cases where non of the online members are leaving close to... In this case, getting the contact of the closest conference to the location to help out with investigation won't be a problem since they already knw of our existence. More so, a case that we can't treat or handle due to finance or logistics can easily be handed over to a conference capable of handling such case. We can give it a trial as am sure contacting the national body won't be a problem.

When the coast is clear

I'm deeply grateful to GOD and all u lovely nd kindhearted people dat came 2 my family's rescue to avert d looming shame nd absolute disgrace.D amount required was completed late yesterday. My husband left home early in d morning 2 meet d house agent, it was at the bank dat he realized there is public holiday today in Ogun State for PVC collection. No bank opened in the entire State today. My husband called d agent who asked us to bring it to his office on Monday - since we assured that its ready. Words can't convey d depth of peace I feel in my heart. On behalf of my husband, my humble self and entire family, we are expressing our gratefulness to all of you.@syncan,kamsified,peppyluv,chynak,justify,Rich4God,@italo nd all other anonymous people here for all d financial support and unfathomable prayers. Thank you people of GOD. On Monday, I will post the copy of the receipt for you all to see how your kind gestures has ignited our happiness. Thank you and thank you again.

What you're proposing sounds positive...but you'd have to convince many people about many things.

And I think someone somewhere will still ask questions like: 'why not just give the national council an online presence?' Amongst other questions. Ideally, every conference should be online...so to now have an online conference again sounds somehow to me.

To be frank I'd rather just do something privately controlled...so that some people wont drive me crazy in the name of bureaucracy...and I'm talking from experience.

Let me give you some little examples: in my conference, I suggested to them to introduce the use of short codes so that you can for example send 100 to 33355 to donate 100 naira to the poor. What I heard was "parish priest may say we are going beyond our boundaries."

Also we tried printing flyers showing examples of cases we handle so that parishioners can be gingered to donate more. Parish priest cancelled the idea.

If I wanted to do these for an NGO, no parish priest would stop me. No headaches.
