why are u confusing yourself? traditions are backed with the scriptures and emanate from beliefs/ doctrines. Doctrines are subjected to exegesis of the scriptures and can change but rarely. traditions change easily but not in anyway that contradicts the scriptures

You seem to misconstrue my point! Of all the 21 doctrines which of dem did Kumuyi tell him he wuld scrap? The emphasis is on tradition nt doctrines which are strictly upheld very tenaciously rather than 'ordinary'. traditions which the Pastor admitted he personally set up like the marriage committee, women ministry etc which he was emphatic on. Marriage committtee and women ministry is nt in d bible so to speak as against doctrines which are very cardinal and undisputably conspicously written in the holy book.

Meawhile,he should scrap the useless doctrine of not allowing his members to have television sets. I can't stand my neighbour's kids coming to my house almost everyday to watch cartoon and their parents to come watch news just because kumuyi banned them from owning television sets.

The service was awesome, talking about the Living Word (Jesus) and the Written word (Bible) praying always and obeying the word and meditating on the word is very powerful in a believers life, very rich sermon all you could pick out is scraping of MC? Now if you wanna get married and you start talking falsely just to avoid questioning during courtship are you now reverencing Marriage Committee more than God? these are the things and more you should watch Women ministry, if the reason for formulating the ministry is now abused and women now become heady to their husbands and worldliness begins to creep in, will you as a general overseer continue these entities (marriage committee and women ministry) Check these things, the truth has to be told THE WORLD NEEDS JESUS NO JOKES THE WORLD IS SICK.

My area of concern is where the "man of God" kept saying that "If I go" and "when I go" (which I take to mean when he dies). When that eventuality finally happens (it is inevitable for us all), Deeper Life as we know it will not be the same (another eventuality for all man-made and man-owned churches). Already the "man of God" has started sensing danger while he is still alive. That's why he has started giving warning about the kind of person he will hand over to (of course I'm convinced that he will not hand over HIS church to anyone except when death calls). My point is that Deeper Life and other "man-owned churches" will most likely break up or go into oblivion when their OWNERS die

Going to church on sunday is not doctrine, it is tradition. Like my guy said, tradition is something the administrative mantra develop. In paul times, people met whenever they met when catholic church came about, they set a time and day to make it more organized.

we go to church to kiss d pastor's wife and the ladies do some blow jobs on us.
