wow, thats roughly 1m naira, u know of any success stories?.....its same dr emeka that used to be in st george?..bridge clinic is abt same price......but drugs and initial tests not inclusive...so u factor in all those....bridge would be abt 1,5m or so............

Hi, going through the thread, I think some ladies have haf success with iui. one lady actually had triplets. I wish you the best of pregnancies from this process. The recommended treatment for me is ivf due to mfi. am yet to come to term with this. I keep telling myself that it would've even been better if it were iui, though a natural pregnancy is my prayer, wish & dream. so am just gonna say lucky you. May 1st time be the charm for you. God bless. Just follow Dr's instructions, hand it over to God and please don't stress. let's know how it goes on Saturday.

I contacted SERUM clinic in Greece, DOGUS in Cyprus, ADA in Cyprus, Memorial Hospital in Turkey, Junameg in Turkey and about 3 in the US.

I have the quotes from them. You can pm me and I will forward d mails to you. It is too lengthy to paste here but the prices are btw 750k to about 1.5m but the US own are abt 3m

I got a quote from the hospital in November ICSI is 988k, when i was under the impression that i might have to do that. Luckily, i no longerhave to do it as my tubes are fine and my ovarian reserve is quite high, so would be doing IUI now which is approx 200k inclusive of drugs.

Thank you so much for your prayers. I think we all wish we didnt have to go through fertility drugs and tests (as they can be very nerve-racking), but what can we do but to hope and pray that whichever route we take to have babies, we are led by God and he causes all to work for our good.

Major difference is that in IUI the eggs are not retrieved to fertilise outside the body unlike IVF where there is egg retrieval, fertilization and then transferred back. Iui is cheaper than ivf. Please Google for more explanations.

The painful part is the egg retrieval but you will get over the pain and i think you will need to take a day or two for the retrieval. For the embryo transfer its advisable to take some days of rest after although doctors usually say its not necessary but i think its worth it

Good day, just been inquisitive....for the egg retrieval is pain killer given? Is it done with injection to put one to sleep?
