oh boy! your guy dey jail since early hours of thursday... i came to Deira from Abu Dhabi on wednesday by 12 mid night, the building i was in was raided from 1:30am by 2am i was taken to Naif police station. After i turned in my ID, at tge end i discovered that someone was impersonating with my ID and has a very serious case. I was released today but was called on phone to return to the station which i did. I'm still in jail using their wifi and the phone i came back in with.

i will update the house when i'm out, please be careful guys some of our naija people are very wicked. please remember me in your prayers.

Better use your time and currently charged phone to call/SMS your friends and tell them to arrange a lawyer for you, before they say something in Arabic and before you know it you're before a judge with long term jail and deportation. A lawyer can get you out on bail ASAP while they investigate the case properly. Luckily, this is the UAE and if they can prove you were at work elsewhere while whatever crime was taking place you'll be off the hook. You would also like to get out of that issue as soon as possible because of your job, employers are not lenient when it comes to police cases and you don't want to be tied in with police wahala that long. This is why I avoid Nigerians these days and that Deira location in general.

It does not matter whether you're a legal resident or not. Avoid those joints except its on very short business. Because when they hold you drinking in one illegal/unregistered joint in Deira, you might be held so long, you lose your job/clients or accused of something else because you were there with people who have no legitimate means of livelihood. Nigerians always think they're faster than anyone else and can tell stories when something happens. Do the necessary and free yourself from the hassle.

So just like u said ,he should use that phone to contact ppl that can help him while he still can

Only d issue date was on it and no expiry date.. And if justi has help confirmed it 2b a 1mnth visa, what's d possibility of mine being a 2mnth visa with d tales of no more 2mnth visa.. Plz kindly xplain if there's still a window of opportunity on this

Your visa is still valid, after the issue date it still carries 2 months validity before it expires and your issue date on your visa is 19th March,so you still have until 18th of May to use that visa before it expires.

Most jobs in Qatar are offered through recruitment agencies. These agencies prefer to recruit nurses from UK, USA and other Western countries and they cover all the expenses: registration, flight ticket, accommodation, etc.
You must also know that payment and treatment of employees are based on your country of training, experience, and other stuffs and most people have claimed that there are lots of racism in that aspect. However, I believe you should give them a try, beside even the lowest pay maybe bigger than what most hospitals pay in Nigeria. Also, you can search directly for hospitals in Qatar and apply directly to them, you can never tell how it will turn out kiss That's my two cents for you. smiley smiley smiley

No offence meant but if I may ask, do you live in Qatar? Though, u mentioned some facts based on what is commonly known in Qatar but not absolutely correct. You seem to be mixing things up here. I know several Nurses, with certificates from Nursing schools in Nigeria who are doing better than even engineers.

I've been following this thread for quite sometime now and I must confess, you guys are doing a great job, I read the thread from the very first page (now on page 30... no be small work oo) as advised by justi4jesu and to be candid, the infos (though out of date) have really helped me in gaining more insights into travel visa issues. These are my questions:
1. what are the prospects for a physics graduate seeking greener pasture there in dubai?
2. What are their interview questions like?
3. How much is termed as average salary over there in order to live a comfortable life?
4. What is the total amount (flight(return ticket inclusive in case the outcome doesn't turn out good, make i no go remain illegal for another person country), visa, accommodation, feeding and transport) it will cost me to come search for job?
5. As regards the visa, for someone who doesn't have any relative there, what type of visa would you advise I apply for, tourism or visit, and will statement of account be required?

truth is for me i would say its 30-70 probability of getting a good job ranging 4k to 8k aed pay per month...but whatever u come here to do ...in so far as u hv the determination to study relevant courses that suit what u ascribe to b i believe u can advance eventually..numerous guys here dont hv time to study n dont hv funds too....so even if u r a security guard but u study a certificate course in hospitality for e.g over time u will land a job...den u can grow

no b say u need to come in straight away looking for mech eng. job or bankerjob ...rara...instead try but if e no work n u land something around 3k u can para and manage den grow...

for all these cleaner jobs, office boi... et al...i dont subscribe...frustration go maga person....

all these people claiming hospitality jobs...na wash most times...office assistant na office boi..etc so shine eye...

there are good courses available with english tutors so u can even learn anything here if u hv cash and build from it...iata, safety courses, hospitality courses, pmp...

if u dont hv a degree n u dont hv business sense or acumen (actually trading sense) it is hard here in dubai to manage except u r exceptional in something unique to u...

Re: QATAR And UAE General Visa Enquiries by ken1982: 10:31pm On Apr 26, 2015
send cvs relating to both interests sporadically and widely..also i was talkin to a recruiter in abu dhabi

this is what he said about job portals...BULK CVS EVERYDAY MAKE IT DIFFICULT FOR THEM (JOB RECRUITERS LIKE BAYT, ALQABAS ETC) TO PRUNE AND PICK....

SO do one thing...wen u enter a job portal...try and get a contact number place a call...get the address go to the office...check dem out..if u hv faith in dem try n get contact number of someone who works there..tell d person plainly u want his/her contact so u can directly reach dem n not just send cvs and wait...

if they will not pick u for engineer ask for junior engineer position...m sure u guys dunno here theres junior engineer, engineer n senior engineer...
