You can not apply for a visa from a country that you do not have citizenship rights or residence permit to. A visa is not good enough.

I will recommend that you provide your own statement of account because, it is to your advantage to demonstrate your financial worth... But if for smart reasons you don't want to present it, then, ensure that your employment in the company is satisfying to represent an obligation to return home for.

I think it will depend on the status of the company, that may work with multi national companies but with local or smaller companies it will be an issue

Hello Guys!
Please, I want to finally clarify the appropriate response for the questions below for my wife's & son application;I am sponsoring the whole trip
My wife is unemployed.

*Income and Expenditure
-How much do you spend each month on living costs?
-How much of your total monthly income is given to your family members and other dependents?
-What is the cost to you personally of your trip in GBP(£)?
-The total amount of money you have for this trip?
-The cost of the aeroplane, boat or train tickets ?
-The cost of your accommodation ?
-The cost of your living expenses ?
-Is someone other than you paying for all or a part of your trip?
- What is the total cost of your trip, including money others may be giving you, in GBP(£)

Good day Vicjustice, Justwise and fellow Nlers, I've completed and submitted my UK visit visa application and have scheduled my biometric later this week. yesrerday my friend was going thru my application and spotted the column where they requested if one has been denied visa by any country including the UK in the last 10years. Although I've been denied by UK and US 2years ago but only acknowledged that of UK and not of US in the form cos I think it's not necessary. My question, is it necessary to state I've been denied by US too? And now tht I've submitted the application can I state that on a plain sheet and attach to my documents to be submitted?
pls my good people your kind urgent response is required.

Please while filling the form online do you have to submit the electronics copy of supporting documents like bank statement, accommodation etc or you only submit the hard copy when you are going for biometrics? Secondly, do you chose the day you want to do your biometrics or it generates authomatically depending on other people in queue? Thanks.

guys,

I submitted my application 17th april and got a mail today already (28 april) that a decision has been made on my application.

isn't it rather too fast?

my impression is, the earlier you get a response, the higher the tendencies of refusal. could that be true.

pls whats your takes on this?

regards,

Hello gurus in the house
I need a candid advice as I & my hubby intend travelling to UK for a tour by September this year.
I started working this year January and monthly salary is 42k after every deduction and my hubby is a bank teller who earns 64k monthly but he has spent 7yrs with the bank. We have our own personal business which we do & it's registered and also has a bank acct as well.
I have perused all the documents required and we have them all.
With the look of financial I hope we stand a chance or getting a short stay visa to UK.

I will appreciate.

cc justwise, vicjustice

It's reasonably ok to get a feedback within that period though that does not mean that you have been given or denied

hi guys.

a little dilemma for my relative . . . . if a lady was issued a 5years visit visa and travelled to the UK three times within that 5years visa validity period, is that sufficient to apply for a 10years visit visa as she is due for another renewal or is she best applying for another 5years?

thanks

This is true. Don't risk it if your company is not multinational

Hello all...this is my very first time of visiting this thread. Am a newbie...my dad has a wife(not legally) and two kids in the uk bearing his surname whom he lost contact with over 20yrs ago..we just made contact on friday last week and after much discussion we agreed on relocating to the uk..my dad's passport is servicable but not to the uk ever since he left but he was in indonesia, malaysia two yrs ago. I and my brother have virgin passports. We both are graduates. How do you think we should go about getting our visa and which visa would u suggest we all apply for. Finances and all is on my step mother and her children(my dad's children) who bear the same yoruba surname with us.
Thanks

If your dad is legally married to the woman, he can apply for settlement visa. You and your brother can apply for family visit visa, but not settlement because you are above 18, and should not be independent

when you say ''complete'' documents, what do you mean?

apart from the usual - bank statement, hotel reservation, property docs, etc , is there anything else she needs?

You must have enough funds in your account to cover your trip and still have something substantial left after trip.

There is no way you or your father can move to the UK through those kids. He is not married to their mother, hasn't been in their lives for 20years and suddenly now want to move to the UK through them.

10 years is possible, the application process is the same as usual. The same process as the 5 years application

the father can.

all he has to do is marry their mother legally and if she meets all the requirements (salary, etc), she can file for a spousal visa for him.

the dad can then file for his other kids (after he becomes a british citizen) ONLY if they are under 18 as at the time he makes the application.

just my two cents.
