They complained about everything nd made known their hatred.... Infact a guy whose dad was igbo hated his yoruba mother.... I would say omase... Though the guy dey bear yoruba name. *rotfl*
Funny, I am always reminded of the hatred and biased perception by the Yorubas of the Igbos even among my Yoruba friends.

It is my belief that Yorubas can do much worse than the South African Xenophobic destruction of lives and property have done...in this case Yoruba Igbophobia. Not long ago we saw this evident in your readiness to do battle with the Igbos if your preferred choice of candidate did not win the gubernatorial election. As if the Igbos have some mysterious ability to rig elections to their benefit.

Your hypocritical hatred for the Igbos can be felt even from a thousand miles. You guys eat and drink hatred for the Igbos as if you survive on it.

You're not hosting yourself.

You're hosting yourself in a safe and friendly environment (Yorubas) with ports and markets built by Yorubas to sustain your business.

You have a port in the East, but you choose to reside in the West. Truth be told, Lagos does not need you, You need Lagos to survive. Wonder why your likes run from the East and only return for "vacation"?

Let's me get you right, Did Yorubas or Lagos state Government build Lagos Port and airport? Did Yorubas or Lagos state Government build Alaba international market? Did Yorubas or Lagos state Government build Ladipo market or Computer village or any other Igbo dominated market? Please if you don't know how these markets came about, you better keep quiet and discuss topics you're most comfortable with like football. Do you understand?

I have recently decided not to engage myself in tribal tantrums in N/L but the way the Yoruba's are going about the Igbos really makes me puke.
I reside in Uyo and a good number of them are there but you hardly see akwaibomites threatening their very existence even though they are so lousy for their liking.
Come to Enugu, you see a number of them too infact in my street in housing estate, at the extreme where they have a close we have Yoruba community there and nobody has raised an eyebrow towards them.
one wonder where this host of a thing is coming from as if others are parasites to them, whereas they are the known parasites cos they can't seem to remove their eyes from the oil companies in Akwaibom state.
Don't forget that other one with frog eye is also eyeing oil money

Ode don open mouth again oh! Which Igbo is coming to benefit from the success of the host communities. Igbo's are the only tribe in Nigeria that can say they made it on their own. PERIOD! Oba's brother thought they would die and become extinct when he stole all their money and assets and handed them 20Naira to go and start life afresh. They made it on their own and helped develop this lagos. Second Lagos was built with federal money since it was the federal capital. Nobody is arguing over Ibadan which is what yoruba's an claim outright as something they developed themselves and de place wowo. Kano can be claimed by Hausa's as something they developed as Enugu can be claimed by igbo's. Lagos is everybody's since na federal money develop am. Oba whatever your name is put tape over that mouth and stop spewing RUBBISH!

OPEN LETTER TO OBA OF LAGOS

Four nigerians also won parliamentary seat in the uk, the queen did not complain. Oba should know that the world is getting globalized. 100years from now, in lagos an hausa or igbo man may be governor.
The fact that foreigners are getting involved in government is a sign and feature of a developed society, like the us and uk. The oba should be happy lagos has showed such feature, when this feature spreads to the whole 36states then nigeria will be termed as developed.
point of correct pls, 4 Igbo not just Nigeria because if it's drug trafficking you will see it boldly written IGBO

All dz argument ain't necessary seriously... yorubas u guys hv been threatening fire and brim stone since time immemorial yet nothing, u keep saying kano, sokoto etc, maybe dz non indegenes wud start taking u ppl seriously wen u do sth real dan making noise...
Igbos staying in a place where u aren't appreciated is not loyalty or being a good Nigerian it's called d act of breaking ur own heart, d yorubas wud start taking u ppl seriously wen u start acting like our northern brothers, they leave there region and come to urs with just a nylon bag, leaving der families behind, wen they come most of em either leave in thatch houses or rented houses, d moment they sense any form of trouble they get into the nearest lorry and leave...simple as dat... ur own u wud go der, start a life, build a house, and even raise a family there... continue.

As an immigrant, go to American embassy and burn their flag, you'll find your way to your Naija bush faster than you can say NEPA.

Respect your host and you'll get a host not a host-ILE indigene.
Idiotic comparison.. USA cannot threaten you to vote for their candidate .. Immigrants can say that America is a country of immigrants without fear.. The Oba drew the first blood.. BTW-- JK is a core YORUBA man and Lagosian

The Oba of Lagos, Riliwanu Akiolu, says there is a need for non-indigenes in Lagos State to respect the tradition and culture of their host.

The monarch said this during an exclusive interview with our correspondent.

While responding to a question on the threat he issued out to Igbo residents in Lagos State if they did not vote for Akinwunmi Ambode of the All Progressives Congress, Akiolu maintained that he had no ill feeling towards Igbo in the state as some of his closest friends were Igbo.

He said, “Eze Odimegwu, who is a former CEO of Nigerian Breweries, is still my best friend as well as many others. The Obi of Onitsha came to visit me here a few days ago. When you go to a place, you have to respect the host leaders, particularly the traditional leaders there because you are coming to benefit from their success.

“The people of Lagos are the friendliest and most accommodating people in Nigeria.”

He said the video which showed him issuing threats to Igbo leaders was a misrepresentation of what truly transpired.

He said the issue was twisted by those who wanted to gain political advantage ahead of the governorship election but God put them to shame.

“Those who orchestrated the entire incident know themselves and I tell you, those (Igbo leaders) who came here on that day understand me a lot and have even been coming since then,” he said.

Akiolu said many of the non-indigenes were deceived by politicians in their quest for power.

He said, “The man that promised to hand them deputy governorship slot and four commissioner positions and would elevate the status of Eze Ndigbo to that of Oba of Lagos has since denied it.

“It was all a political gimmick because I am sure they know that he was only deceiving them. As a matter of fact, prominent traditional rulers in the South-East have been writing us to say that they are not happy about the large number of ezes in Lagos.”

He urged all Igbo who won elections in Lagos State not to disappoint the people.

The monarch said he was confident that Ambode would do well in office.

He said Ambode would serve as governor for eight years not just because it was the will of God but because he would perform excellently well. He, however, said Agbaje was free to contest again in 2019 if he wanted.

He said, “By the Grace of Almighty Allah and my ancestors in this house, the Governor-elect, Ambode, will rule for eight years with a good performance.”

He said he had nothing against the Peoples Democratic Party or its governorship candidate, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, but noted that all humans are equal in the eyes of God but are not equal in the love of God.

He said Ambode proved his competence by saving the state from financial hardship when it was deprived of funds from the Federal Government.

Akiolu said he was not a politician but was only interested in the prosperity of Lagos and would continue to support the best.

Supreme Council of the Elders of Indigenous People of Biafra has received an invitation from the United Nations (UN) to attend one of its meetings in New York in June, the first invitation to such a meeting since the Biafran pressure group came into existence.

Deputy Chairman of the organisation, Dr. Dozie Ikedife, disclosed this to Daily Sun in Nnewi at the weekend. He said a delegation of the pro- Biafrans would be leaving Nigeria for the June meeting as soon as the group raised logistics for the trip.

Asked what request the group would make at the UN, he said: “We have no other request than the recognition of Biafra, recognition that we exist, recognition that we have the right to be given the opportunity for self-determination, that the Indigenous People of Biafra have the right for self-determination, which Nigeria should allow to take place.”

He said in December 2014, the organisation sent a delegation to Nairobi, Kenya at the invitation of the African Union (AU) to attend its Economic, Social and Cultural Council meeting.

Ikedife insisted that the group would continue to pursue its right for self-determination without breaching any municipal or international law.

“The only setback, which can discourage us, is lack of money to finance the project. You know dissemination of information is not cheap. We have a radio station called Voice of Biafra. We also have difficulty in financing it because we think the people we are fighting for will appreciate the effort, but they have not bought into the idea of supporting the movement,” he said.

He assured that the suit for self-determination filed by one of the arms of of the organisation, Billie Human Rights Initiative, against the Federal Government at the Federal High Court, Owerri, would soon continue now that judiciary workers had called off their strike.
