Thank you very much for your honesty. These are what we are fighting for. I am all for check and balances. It is the duty of me and you to try and make these laws come into existence. It's not enough to say it does not affect us. I think it's selfish for someone to only think that something is only worth fighting only if it affects them. I have never been hungry, my uncles and auntys can all feed their families and most people I know can feed their family but does that mean they are no hungry families, if I started a movement for poverty to end, does that mean I am doing it because I am poor? Who's painting Nigerian men black?

The tweets merely state that women in Nigeria still have a long way to go in terms of gaining equality with the men. That's not painting the men black. Can't people say the truth about what they face without it being deemed attack on the male folk? I doubt if I saw some tweets there that were attacking any guys.

When I see unfair generalizations like "all men cheat" "are violent" or "are misogynist" and all those other bla bla bla, I do stand up and defend the men. Coincidentally, you're among those who turn around to fight my opinions on such instances. which makes one wonder if you guys even know why you want or who you are.

Seriously those tweets are nothing but truth and the life of the average Nigerian lady. (There wasn't a meeting planned to tell them what to say was there?)

Because I live in a society where women have as much respect as men, (which BTW was achieved by the feminists we love to hate so much) it doesn't mean that I'll discount the experiences as of my Nigerians sisters as false. After all it was my experience too. No need living in denial. Being in society that respects women doesn't mean I should be oblivious to what happens in my own society. After all If they didn't fight for it here, I won't be feeling so cool now saying I have respect as a woman. therefore those who don't should suck it up and not say anything?

If there is going to be a fair balanced society of male and female equality in Nigeria, then there needs to be a feminist revolution there too.

Let's keep shushing anyone who tries to speak while the little girls keep getting married off in their infancy and rape victims keep getting blamed for being too feminine. Difference in male and female salaries on average

Difficulty for women to climb up the ladder in corporate firms (they have to do twice as much to prove themselves)

Horrible traditions like a woman drinking the water used to wash the body of her dead husband, to prove she's not the killer if she survives

Women being forced into marriages and being maltreated
And stuff like that
