Hello house, I plan to apply to about 3 schools once the portal opens. I've read some parts of the thread, the school websites and uaf site too but I can't get concrete info whether recommendation/references is required. The required documents they are particular about seems to be language cert, degree cert, motivation letter and transcript.
So I need help from people who have applied if references are required for applications.

Also, I read from uaf site that I have to send my documents for each application. Does that mean I will ask my school to send the transcript to them 3 times and also send my own certified documents 3 times. It's worrying me because that might be too demanding financially.

I would have waited to read through the thread before asking these but i'm not sure if I can finish the thread before it will be too late for me to start processing some documents as the application window is somehow short and I can only read about 5 pages a day.

Thanks

Reference/Recommendation
Check application requirement on the program's page on the schools website. If it required it will be clearly stated.

Transcript
if you all the schools you are applying to are using UAF u can tell ur school to send 3 transcripts in different envelops and all the 3 transcripts placed in one big envelop or 3 transcripts in one envelop. So it will be sent once by your school to UAF.

Applicants to Finnish higher education institutions (polytechnics/Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) and universities) who are applying based on a qualification completed outside the EU/EEA -area will be required to pay an application fee of 100 €.

The application fee concerns applicants to Bachelor’s and Master’s level studies. Application fees will be collected for the first time when applying for studies beginning in autumn 2016.

Thanks. The information i've seen from all the websites does not indicate references. The reason I want to be sure is because I also applied to a school in Germany and it was not indicated that I would need a declaration letter from my employer that my present employment would be terminated only for them to request for the letter after I sent my application and all requested documents. Thank God they accepted for me to send the scanned letter via email or I would have had to cough out close to 9k again for courier service.

u know u shouldn't stress urself about all this,
the hand luggage is not weighed in most cases but sized with eye, so stick to the size
everything rests on the hands of the check-in person.if the supervisor is not by their side they could be nice...but that's a gamble
be on the safer side and go to their office and purchase excess luggage, its about eur150 for 30kg, then u have no fears
