Hi,

Menstrogen is not an abortion/emergency contraceptive pill.

Let her do a serum PT to rule out pregnancy.

All the best
Thanks a lot. Exactly what I've told him to do. I've told dem to go to a hospital/clinic for a proper check up cos she complained about sharp pains in her lower abdomen when she's stresses or does something strenuous like lift something heavy.

Ok.

But what is the diagnosis? Are you seeing a doctor physically?

Did you mean to say you are taking combined oral contraceptive pills (COP) or that you are taking 3 different types of contraceptives at the same time?

What are the exact descriptions of the fibroid, apart from the submucous components hinted?

My friend, a calendar does not show when you ovulate. Your body does not recognize our calendar. You have to create one based on the days of your cycle and then you will be able to figure out your ovulation day
doc good day! Thank God for the kind work and solution, advice u are offering in this forum. Pls I want to relate this problem to u. I Had my menses on 15th of August, after it,I had intercourse with my husband on my ovulation day as calculated aCcording to answers u supplied to people in this forum, I followed it, after about a week and,I discovered I was having high discharge accompanied with fishy odour,I met a gynacologist, he ran some test and started treament for infection. When I took the first injection on 8th of Sept, I discovered I had some blood stained wen I wanted to wee,the blood was so light,it contineued but the color is somehow dark brown and wen I clean inner vagina,I will notice little dark blood will stain the tissue paper. I decided to use HCG to test for pregnancy which came out positive. The positive line is so faint. I have discontinued the injection intake, but I still see slight brownish blood. a nurse prescribed ventoline, but am skeptical about taking it. pls what could be possible solution or is it normal? thanks in anticipation

Hi,

Vaginal discharge accompanied by a fishy smell is very indicative of Bacterial Vaginosis. That is what the Gynae must have treated you for.

It is likely that you are pregnant, going by the faintly positive PT. Brown discharge can normally be seen in very early pregnancy too. Are you ttc, and have you had miscarriages before?

Ventolin, which is used in late pregnancy to subside premature contractions/labour, has no place for such use in early pregnancy.

Do a serum PT tomorrow, or a scan next week.

Also let your gynae know for a likely review of your medications.

All the best.

Hi,

Ultrasound will start detecting pregnancy about 5 or 6 weeks from the last menstrual period for transvaginal and transabdominal ultrasound respectively

If you mean 2 weeks after she had missed a period, then ultrasound will pick it up. Alternatively, pregnancy test then will also be positive.

All the best
thanks boss

Good morning,

Mycoten is good. Topical mycoten. I hope you complete the doses - 100mg for 1 week or 200mg for 3 days?

Elimination is possible, but may not be realistic in your pregnancy. It is very likely to recur as pregnancy continues as your present condition predisposes you to candidiasis due to lowered immunity and hormone changes.

All the best.
Hi Dr,Im using mycoten pessaries for 6 days.3 more days to treat.I'm much more better now.thanks a lot

I've asked him to kip it but he says it's not an option ryt now. I asked a pharmacist friend who suggested 2 pills of cytotec tablets
NB: She also said she noticed some blood dis morning wen she woke up.

Indication is the reason why the HSG was requested. In your case it is primary (1') infertility, which means infertility in someone who has never conceived before.

The HSG report itself is entirely normal. It showed that your tubes are not blocked in any way. This shows that the tubes are not the reason for the infertility, so it could be either ovulation problems, implantation problems or male factor.

Morning,

No doctor would diagnose you with "staph infection", and you should be going to the hospital, not a lab.

It is wrong practice to go to a lab for test and start taking antibiotics on your own. Medicine does not work like that, and it is usually counter-productive and a case of penny wise, pound foolish for patients.

UBTH, Central Hospital and Stella Obasanjo have good doctors at cheaper rates than many private hospitals if finance is the most important consideration.

Hi,

Are you self-diagnosing and treating yourself?

Hormone profile to investigate what?

Causes of pelvic pain during sex are many. PID and endometriosis are quite common causes.

Hi,

Most likely, your cycles are not ovulatory (yet), hence the irregularity.

Give it more time; do not be stressed.

Three months is not enough to assume a ttc status in the real sense of the word, esp after a miscarriage. Or were you ttc before you conceived the last time?

For now, you need reassurance and counselling more than drugs and investigations.

All the best.

Hi,

Is it really spotting (spots of blood on pads, etc) or a brown-like discharge or stain? The latter can be normal after a period, close to a period or with early pregnancy; it does not specifically indicate a problem.

Continued spotting after "normal flow" of 6 days requires investigations.

All the best.

Hi,

Treatment for PID should be prescribed by your doctor who must have made the diagnosis too.

I hope you are seeing a doctor?

One would need to know your drug history in order to offer any suggestions. Chronic PID is notoriously challenging to manage. Self or inadequate or stop-and-start treatment obviously reduces patients' chances of cure, as such practices encourage antibiotic resistance.

The advice is to see the doctor

I went to general Hospital, so after the various test I was asked to do, the doctor prescribed drugs according to the test results, but after completing the dosage the symptoms still came. I went back to complain but I was asked to buy anti-inflammatory drugs and pain killer. I went back again to complain the same thing happened and I was asked to go carry out the same test. Please if you have some one u can direct me to, I will appreciate it, have spent too much on this disease.
