Quick question, for those who has gone for their visa interview. After the interview, will they ask you to come in back in 7 days time to pick up visa or what? Or lemme simplify my question, will the embassy give u feedback it u got the visa application approved or nah?

My interview is tomorrow

On the day of collection, what you see as soon as you open your passport, is what you get. Nobody tells you anything.

Toor.. I don go enter one chance niyen... God!!! I dunno what to do.... I gave my certificate to this guy i met at the ministry of education with him promising to give me back the next day... Fast forward to 3 weeks later which was yesterday, i was still looking for this guy up and down abuja.. despite the fact that i dont live in abuja o... okay, i was grateful i collected it at around 7pm monday evening sha. went through the papers immediately.. i saw just 2 signatures on each paper supposed to be for both ministries. I was skeptical at first but the joy of collecting my certificate after 3weeks in abuja was overwhelming so i didnt mind... i got back to the garage and got in a commercial car for another 4hrs journey back to where i came from... throughout the journey, my mind wasnt at rest with just two signatures. i was expecting stamps and signatures although i've not seen an authenticated document b4. I couldnt hold it anylonger sha, so i called one of my guys that is at EMU and asked about the authentication stuff. he said there was supposed to be signatures. I wasnt thoroughly convinced but i had some peace of mind. On getting back to my crib, i looked at the supposedly authenticated documents again but the I knew i wasnt convinced that thats all i was supposed to get. hence the reason for my previous post. Now the problem is I have to be at the embassy on the 21st which is next week monday and honestly, i dont know what to do cause its only the authentication is that remains nowand i am seriously freaking out... i cant even tell my dad cos he already has thoughts i might not meet the students registration deadline at EMU. I'm so confused and perplexed...

N.B: signatures on both papers are the same as well as the dates..

Actually you don't need much signature on your documents. what ministry of education normally put is a seal and sign on it(as of years back,so don't know if it has change).
I can't give concrete information now on the number of signatures if two or three but your worries should be if the guy really did what you ask and didn't just fake it.
To help yourself better,go to Abuja 2 or 3 days to your interview and go to ministry of education to confirm the signature and your worries.

Next time be more careful with giving people things that if lost wil take time and lot of money to get back(and possible won't get back) because people will do anything for money even if it will cost you your life.

Hope I helped to an extent...
Wish you good luck with your interview

Min of edu will stamp and sign on the original cert and on the copies just once while foreign affairs will stamp and sign twice. Don't panic, check if the stamp for both ministries are on the copies.
Mind u, only min of edu will sign original foreign affairs sign and stamp only copies

At the back of the real certificate,it will be signed with min of education seal on it and also the photocopy....this is information is based on my knowledge years ago so there might have been changes now.

I didn't give anybody my documents when I did mine then,I went there very early even though there is much crowd as of 7am when I get there and we have to drop the documents in the office where it will be signed and pick up the next day.

So my 1$ advice,go to Abuja 3days to your interview and verify it or perhaps do it again if the guy didn't do it as you think. This time don't give to anyone to do for you,you are a man(if am not wrong)and should be smart, struggle to the front with style, and come back here to give us your experience and help others also.

Is there anyone here going to University of Nicosia? It seems South Cyprus visa processing takes forever. @wip7 Please are you aware if the Migration has started issuing out visa for this fall admission? Thanks
Re: North Cyprus by fondy: 2:36pm On Sep 16, 2015
@mr.wip, can your visa still be denied if your name is on the list sent by the school and your documents are complete?

Yes, they have issued for two of my students going American college. They were late for last entry anyway!. Also there has been some delays from the migration department recently. When did they submit your stuff and did you get in touch with the univ? Actually they extended the admission time cos is normal they do this if less students have been admitted so that brushed out the delays and some other stuffs.

Yes.....name on list does not matter that you must be granted visa. Embassy and Universities are two different entities. Embassy job is to approve whom ever they want in the country based on documents presented by the applicant, psychological assumption and techno-physical assessment by the visa officer.

However, one of the criteria for assessing applicants at Turkish embassy when it is related to university visa application is details sent by the university to the embassy but is not the determining factor to grant visa.

Each country/embassy adopts varying assessment methods. In fact, assessment of applicants going to South Cyprus differs from those going to North Cyprus. South was more complicated around 2000-2013 while Northern part was more like cake...however, the table has turned in reverse manner or turning to say!

I get in touch with the uni on a regular and they said by month end but I am just wondering why it should take long for an organization( Cyprus Migration) like this. They submitted since August but generally we have been on this since June. If your students were given already despite the fact they submitted at the late hour, oh well then. The date of admission extended is October 15th. Are you aware if this apply to other schools in South Cyprus?

Yes some schools participated in the extension as well. Yes CY Migration department process has been like this but compared to some countries like Bulgaria, Germany etc..Cyprus migration department is kinda fast cos I have experience in these ones as well. Anyway, relax month end is here....no need rush cos nothing special.

Min of education is enough. You will cut the laminated part for attestation or they will find means to scrape off and do their jOb.

As far as north Cyprus is concerned, return ticket or how you travel to NC is not a factor or issue with the universities here. Even you travel via herbalist canoe to NC does not concern the university nor the immigration at NC/Turkey if you are coming as a student.
However, this return ticket issues has to do with the immigration people, some mischievous agents and some airlines attendees may like to enforce this but reason behind such I don't know. Since some students might not even return back home until they become professor....so if you can scale through the immigration people in your country and some airlines I too know staffs....then you are welcome to NC. however, South Cyprus immigration rules wants students to obtain 1 year return ticket for the first time...but NC does not care! Some of my friends actually came by boat from Lebanon by one way...nobody stops them.
