Generally, a burnt clutch can easily be replaced, likewise bad (leaking) seals, o-ring or faulty electrical component.
However, in the absence of a very knowledgeable and skilled a/c technician, it's better to get a tokunbo compressor. Luvinghubby can help you get that. Get in touch with him.

Seller will permit a scan, if he does not, do not buy.

Getting a good car requires more than just a scan.

New ones are far too expensive,55k, a decent toks will go for 25k.

Good afternoon, peeps and gurus in the house. Please help me resolve this little issue. My Honda CRV [2nd Gen] always seems to develop overheating issues almost immediately after using my AC for a while. I discovered that my fan seems to stop working after a while, leading to smoke coming out of the right side of my engine. I have also noticed that sometimes my fan stays on even after switching off the car and removing the keys. About 3 Re-wire guys have looked at it and will tweak one or two wires and voila! the fan will start working and all will be well with the world, only for same issue to re-surface again after a while. My gurus, please what can I do to put a final fullstop to this issue? E don tire me cry @Gazzuzz and @Luvinhubby, please help your boy

Let's take it one after the other.
First of all, the fan is designed to run intermittently while the engine is running, except you're using the AC. If you experience that, very normal.

If your engine overheats while using AC, we need more information to know what's up. Do you have to add water to your radiator daily? Are the radiator fins not clogged?

Your fan working while engine is dead, does it stop on its own after some time, or you have to invite the 'rewire' every time you park?
N.B: It is normal for some cars for the fan to keep working for a couple of minutes after switching of the engine.

Please can somebody advise me; Honda Odyssey 2002 Model. I changed the ATF with Honda DW I which I bought in Enugu and I was on speed after two weeks and the gear missed and later picked up and continued. Some minutes later it stop picking gear. I used D3 and D1 to get to my destination. Although it stopped a lot of times. I got home and I packed it in the morning, I started the car moved it and it moved but later refuse to enter gear. So what I noticed is that once you start the car the gear will work, but immediately the gear heats up, the gear will not work again. I was advised to change the ATF again with Dextron III (because we suspected that the Honda DW I was a fake ATF) which I did and still the same problem. please what is the problem and what do I do. I need urgent advice.

. . . changing the ATF does not take out every fluid in the transmission except you do a flush. Honda recommends a 3X drain and refill with some KM interval in-between drain. What you have in your transmission now might be a mixture of old and new oil and probably that results to the 'symptoms' when they heat-up.

In other news, you might need to do a proper drain or worst still have 'Gazzuzz break the news'

Buy new gearbox and rest. Your valve body is now filled with dirt.

Hi all. I've been having trouble opening all doors on my 2006 DC with the remote key. Anytime I double tap the open button only the drivers door unlocks. The fuse for the door widow winders burns out whenever I try to open all doors with the remote keys. My mech says it's the panel of the key remote and that I have to change it. I'm not sure how a key remote would burn d window fuse. Note that the doors unlock with the central locks normally and all other controls on the remote key work fine. Can I get some advise on how to get this fixed before I change my keys. Thanks...

. . . welcome to my world. An online key remote persons advised its a 'grounding' issue, more like the earthing on the power supply (battery) is having a partial contact or something but i have not been able to give it a trial-check as i've been away from my vehicle.

This seems more like a known issue with the 2006 Accord as i have also learn't from another female Nairalander.

Just a heads-up though

Thanks guys. @gazzuzz @inze the windows all work fine ryt now. But as soon as I try to open "all doors" with a double tap on the remote it burns d window fuse:
1. Widows don't respond anymore
2. Only driver door unlocks
3. Central lock inside d car still opens all doors

Temporary solution: d mech just cuts new wire to reattach the fuse.

Then stop DOUBLE tapping your remote since it burns your fuse. What happened to SINGLE tapping? lipsrsealed

pushing d button twice is to open all doors. Pushing it once is to open just d drivers. And yes I've stopped that pending a solution

Bros,

I once experienced a similar problem with my 2003 Accord. Any moment I turned my key twice to open all four doors at once, the fuse controlling the door locks would blow up.

I promptly found out that the problem arose because a fuse with lower rating (10A) was consistently being used to replace the original fuse that blew up (15A). After replacing the fuse with the correct rating, i've not experienced it. It's well over a year now.

Solution: Ensure that the right fuse rating is selected when replacing your power window fuse. Check the underside of the fuse box cover to be guided by the diagram provided.

Cheers!

The point that makes contact with seal on CV joint might be worn out or uneven, this might lead to quick ware of the CV joint seal. The CV joint inner side might be worn out from the inside and cause excessive vibration when driving, which could make seal move out of place. Also you might be using really cheap seals. Hope the spring in the seal was not adjusted? That could cause excessive ware.

Do a scan that will most likely point to rocker arm sensor.
