I concur with u Boss!
Ogun will keep having that advantage through Lagos being former Nigeria FCT!

OGUN benefits from its proximity to Lagos (which is the centre of Commerce), the population of Lagos and limited landmass.

Industry:

economic activity concerned with the processing of raw materials and manufacture of goods in factories.

It's commonsense to setup industries in Ogun state (most of which are located around the borders with Lagos; another reason why people mistake some parts for Lagos and another reason why Ogun State went on a tax drive for her citizens who fall into this trap). Typically, localization of industries occurs as more competitors concentrate in a particular area to gain the benefits arising from such.

Consequently, transport expenses etc are reduced and there's ease of supply to Lagos; a state that has population as its asset.

Later on, companies establish these factories in other geopolitical zones so as to have a wider reach in the country. When it's unprofitable, they close some of these factories or merge two zones into one.

There's no need to argue about the industries - Ogun State easily is. Just the way you don't need airports in every state, it's not a must to have some of these factories in some states. Companies will only go to States where the environment is friendly and source of raw materials is cheap.

Finally, let's ignore the tribal rants that lack common sense here. WE can now see the essence of State governors making their states conducive enough to attract SERIOUS INVESTORS. When we have good roads and other basic amenities that are the duties of government, people will fear the bad effects corruption can cause to their progress and development.

Most companies ascribed to Lagos are actually in Ogun state
You're right. An example is Farmex Meyer, a drug company. Its administrative office is in Lagos State while its factory is in front of NBL along Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway in Sango-Ota, Ogun State.

Ogun state has the largest concentration of industries in nigeria. Google it for clarification. Stop beefing abeg. Anambra ko,anampant ni.
Upon all the so called industries Ogun state is still topping on the list of highest poverty rated state while Anambra has the lowest poverty rate in Nigeria as a whole, the most interesting fact about Anambra state is that all it industries are own by the indigens eg Innoson automobile manufacturing factory.

Lafarge cement factory is bigger than six drillships.I have experience in both,so get your fact correctly.

Oga...reservations for liars are no here..How r u compa ing a moving vehicle to a company... Why not compare a cement mixer or Processor to a Tanker vessel or compare the cement factory to a refinery.

there are some industries in Lagos apart from the breweries, aba is the most industrialized city after Lagos, aba has some of the largest industries in Nigeria.
Largest canning plant, largest malting plant, gas plant, glass plant, steel plants, shoe clusters, pharmaceutical companies, soap and detergent etc

Nnewi has already a car manufacturing plant, gas plant numerous spare parts plants, wire and cable plant, batteries plant, motorcycle manufacturers, brake manufacturers etc

Just 1car plant is bigger than numerous pure water factories in some states.

I dont even know why pple are here arguing.

This is a no brainer. Ogun state is close to a large market and a port.

But d chest beaters will argue anything to prove a non existent point.

My advice for u is if u want to create a larger industrial hub, create a big market in enugu or anambra by relocating.

Industries will follow d market.

Dts an arguable statistic and still doesnt prove anything because we all know one of those states has a large 419 and drug merchants population. True story.

The industries in Ogun state are not even owned by Ogun people.

Selling your lands to people for them to establish their industries doesn't make you great, especially when you spend the money on parties.

No one except OGUN

What most people don't know is that some locations people refer to as part of Lagos are in boundary of Ogun State e.g part of OJODU BERGER
bros this ur list is incomplete cos I do not c any industries along ikorodu-shagamu road such as larfage cement, I can say about 20 to 35% of privately own iron and steel in nigeria are located along this road including African foundries limited which is the biggest privately own iron and steel in West Africa, and other such as super involve in production of shoe, slipper, Noddles etc and other that involve in chemical industry and other that involve in production of house hold materials
