How could you be worried about that?. Were you committing a crime?.

This is part of sex education. Just let the kid be. Take him for a walk or to the park and ask him if he has a girl he likes at school when he's happy. He'd open up and ask about you and mum then u educate him if u wish or tell him its adult stuff.

I have been in your son's shoes and trusts me it messes up the mind big time at that young age. I was 11 at the time and I slept off in my parent's room. I woke up at the middle of the night, it was dark but I sort of saw what was going on. The good thing is that my parents did not know that I was awake. My opinion - talk to him and let him know that what he saw is reserved strictly for Mummy and Daddy and establish boundaries of how your children burst into your rooms. Let them know that they should knock and wait for response before approaching the room or call out your names first.

Situations like this,makes your captainship effective, your kid caught you in the act,its not a big deal,it happens all the time,yet uncalled for. how you manage things with him now is what matters and to pacify your wife too. you will need to display some skills and ingenuity. don't start wishing it never did becauses if are feeling this way now, it means you hv not started mentoring ur offsprings. 1st and foremost, call him and observe his reaction and promptness in answering, don't start 2 substitute ur mental picture of how you've embarrassed yourself and your guilt with his behavior, because if you are nt careful, you ll end up doing exactly that. if what he saw sticks he would always b ruffed wen he sees u or wen bin called by both u & ur wife, then his thoughts would always be am going to receive the punishment now, so his carriage would always be that of an offender awaiting the punishment. so ask him what does he think he saw, tell him to learn to knock on the door before coming into daddy and mummy's room, also that it was wrong to have seen daddy and mummy trying to make a baby, ask him what should he say...(i am sorry) you are not suppose to tell anyone..(ok?). ask him when the the baby finally comes what does he think the baby should be named, male or female, that you are trying to prepare a name for it. don't try too hard, let it be under a playful environment, without awkwardness or tension, give him hi5 and call him good boy.
Now your wife, tell her with assurance that it's not affecting your boy in anyway, you can narate your discussion to her. to douse any tension call your boy to come and tell mummy the name he chose male or female, if he did. or he should tell mummy first before telling you if he can not think of any now.
if done properly, this could bond your family well into the future, establishing togetherness, reliability, openness, team work and trust.
