* Please how do i get medical insurance for my stay in turkey, its now part of the embassy's requirement
On 24 December 2015 at 11:51, Turkish Embassy Abuja Visa Section <

Hi,
Sorry for that, Turkey recently changed their visa application procedure. For medical insurance, it's easy and same has "traveling health insurance". There are many insurance company offering in Nigeria (Abuja or Lagos) this insurance e.g Leadway Assurance company, Zenith Insurance etc. Just get for 1 week alone unless a specified period given.
Re: North Cyprus by lexycool01(m): 8:49pm On Jan 10, 2016
This is exactly what they said. Help in interpreting this statement to what the embassy needs, will 1 week still be useful

All applicant are to provide medical insurance throughout their stay in turkey

Since you are gonna stay just 1 day in Turkey even 1-3 days insurance is okay. Your destination is not Turkey but TRNC so you will be transiting ONLY.

Thanks bro, God wil be with you. I think i will go 4 1 day medical insurance since i don't hav much money to waste and aside that those insurance companies are scammers

Hello house,

Please, can I visit north Cyprus using an e-visa?
I have a multiple entry UK visa that will expire by mid-february. I'm planning to travel by first week of February. I've also spent 1.5 years in North Cyprus as a student before. Please, how do I go about it?

Whats the purpose of the visit? You may visit based on the profile you mentioned, however, if no tangle reason or purpose with supporting evidence, then you may not be allowed. The e-visa is basically for Turkey not for TRNC. However, it has been used to enter here based on what those people involved presented.

Two scenarios for you:

1. The first person I know is a second-year student that has 10yrs UK visa but his TRNC residence permit expired...so he presented...

2. The second person, did his masters, Ph.D. and even worked for 1 year before he left for Job in Qatar. The airline from Istanbul refused to fly him down to TRNC. So he applied for the e-visa with his US visa and presented hotel and others so they flew him....

Mr Wip and my other boss
I have this question on bank statement of sponsor though the lawyer said it was okay before notarizing the sponsorship letter.
The bank statement is made up of 29 pages that shows the transactions of my sponsor for (sept to decemb ) but the opening balance was 3.5 for september and the closing balance was 512,000. And now that my appointment was cancelled, there is d possibility that my next appointment will be febuary so i removed a month from the bank statement and i realise the opening balance to be arround 2.5mil. Is it okay because i begin to panic for the closing balance which is in thousands and the opening balance or what do the consolar check on the bank statement.
Thanks

Embassy wants to see the regular flow in your bank account and in most cases wants to know if your sponsor has the ability to get through based on your tuition and hostel fees. They can trace and see what comes in and goes out, hence, that can be used to determine the strength of the sponsor. While some are particular about the balance also at the time of application.

My question now is; most bank statement I know or have seen do have a page number. So if you remove one-page won't that page be missing? How do they do bank statement in Nigeria? is it number-less?
Re: North Cyprus by lexycool01(m): 8:18pm On Jan 11, 2016
I won't remove any page what i meant was that if my next appointment falls on febuary i will need transactions for january or can i still present this for next appointment and secondly are turkish consolar interested in the closing balance as at time of application.

Thank you very much. I'm actually going to start my PhD. I left Cyprus last September while my residence permit expired last October. I'm not sure if only a letter of admission will be okay to present at Istanbul and Ercan. Also, my UK visa will expire mid February while intend to travel by Early February.

I haven't paid the tuition fee stated on the offer. Yes...it expired in September.
Okay.. On what other ground do you think I can use? I'm trying to avoid the Turkish embassy stress and also to meet up with the spring semester..

Since you are coming to study, you are expected to pay your fees before you come and get your confirmation letter...this will give you more leverage.....however;

The advice I can give is that you can pay at least registration of 1-2 courses/full fees stated and get the payment slip with you on your way (clear copy) and your admission letter. Also, ensure you fly Turkish airline directly to the Island.

At departure at Istanbul, you may be asked for a valid resident permit before been checked in. Kindly with gentleman's voice explain that you paid so so and this your offer letter but due to so so so you have to come very fast so you could not get the visa straight down, so since you have paid then you can renew your resident on arrival at TRNC.

Above may work for you also at TRNC POE. The Immigration there has been equipped to have access to all the school admission and registration database to verify certain student/payment.

Best wishes!

The online appointment platform is a new development which just begin January this year, so there is little knowledge about it for now.

For you to help others as we are helping you, if u finally figure it out you done with the appointment please do drop your process and necessary requirements to get ready at hand during application so others can learn.

Actually the online platform is very easy to complete. It took me just 10 mins to finish complete that. I completed it for my friends visiting me from Seychelles just 2days ago. As par the health insurance, it's stated on number 3 page that is necessary. So kindly purchase 1-3 days insurance and upload it.

The online platform is straight forward and I think it will really assist in the appointment date issuance cos it seems faster now and it will prevent lobbying or bribing at the embassy.
All necessary steps are shown and given online. Anybody that can fill Jamb form will do this much easier.

I have been able to make progress just left for me to make my final submission which i intentional did. The beauty of it is that u get appointment without waiting for the embassies reply. The only challenge is the site being down at times but i think it is okay 4 now.

@penroll i will like u also to give ur experience on this, i have seen u answered dat precise question in the past but i can find the exact page it is. though Mr wip replied but he stod in between the coin and it is the reason 4 not submiting my application.

My question is on my
sponsor's bank statement.
My sporsor's bank statement is very good in terms of cash flow it is
29 pages showing transaction. the opening balance is arround 3.5 mil
but as at dec 31 the closing balance is 530,000. Is turkish embassy
concerned with the closing balance
Thanks

Closing balance is EVERYTHING!
They are not interested what balance you had six months back.
The important amount is money NOW to pay your fees.

Practically closing balance means a lot but logically since you have paid your complete 1-year fees, the sponsor account has regular in-flow as stated by you and those cash flows are good enough in those previous months. Then, technically you can be issued a visa.

Take note: "This statement above is personal and emanated from data gathered from local embassy officials here-students, while working in the international center of the university but may not be universally true"....!

Mr wip has answered you already but just to add, closing balance matters and the cash inflow also matters....you can bring a bank statement that closing balance is 2million but that money was paid a year ago,how will u be able to continue with fees and other expenses when the inflow is slow.

So in conclusion both closing balance and cash inflow matters but with that amount and if the inflow is okay then you don't have to worry yourself.

Please note, the above information is not from the embassy or any embassy officials but just an assumption from past students experience because I know of someone that went with 200k and got the visa and someone went with 5million and was refused(meaning embassy still have their own criteria and making their decisions)

Now my turn to ask, since you are done with the application and remaining submitting the form.
What are the documents you were asked to upload or there is no uploading of documents?

Yes documents will be uploaded irrespective of the visa types.

Visiting

Example for my friend visiting from Seychelles, I uploaded official invitation letter for them, the hotel, insurance and flight info. After these were uploaded, the appointment issued. Making it faster

For students,

Those coming for studies will need to upload the following

1 Biometric Photo
2 Authorisation by Parents /Custodians (under 18 yrs of age)
3 Student Certificate /Acceptance Letter
4 Equivalence Statement
5 Income Statement / Sponsorship Letter
6. Insurance if you choose it

Re: North Cyprus by Ugochux(m): 11:03am On Jan 13, 2016
Closing balance is important but the cash flow (in & out) matters alot...I know two students that were granted canadian visa with a closing balance of 1.5mil & 2mill but the cash flow was very juicy..
Making a huge deposit if 2mil and printn out the SOA is suspicious and is referred to as 'money lodgement'.

My opinion: pay your 1year tuition, go with the SOA you already have or you break down the 2mil into 4 and mk deposit gradually, maybe twice a week.

Congrats in advance..

@lexicool I believed I answered you when you mailed me, just tell your uncle to ask the person printing to reprint till the day he had 3million plus, that way his balance stays up to that as of that day and since it's still less than one month from that day you will be fine, trust me on that, if he has had good transfers of up to 2mill at once in the past then he can transfer that or do what @Ugochukwu deposit with different names if possible and you print after some few days you will be fine. That's based on experience.trust me closing balance is very important, I helped some people for canada and it is very important because even if you paid a full year tuition fee, you still have tickets that cost above 200k coupled with other living expenses.you presented your uncle as the sponsor but would it be reasonable that he has less than 500k and all will be given to you?? We are lucky that Turkish embassy ain't Canadian embassy, if not they would also check what he needs to take care of the family or business depending on what the case may be. Do what I asked and you will be fine.
