I plan to apply for a masters degree in subsea engineering in university of Houston or Texas A&m university... please wich is better, with respect to admission, fees, financial aid, GAs, RAs, TAs, career prospects and any other important infos.....hope to hear speedily from you guys... thanks

Yes you can apply for a straight PhD. You have a good GPA, and should focus acing your GRE with nothing less than 310. Sourcing for good profs who can recommend you and also scribbling down your SOP. Make sure you send your SOP out for critique and editing. If you can write TOEFL, that would be good, though its not a requirement but would be an edge for a GTA.

Look for safe schools, I mean mid-tier schools that offer funding. Try and check schools around Southern parts of the US. From time to time, come back and state the progress you've made so far and I am sure people here will comment on it.

Hello chief, I'll just answer based on the knowledge I have. Texas A&M is a great school. Count it all joy if you get into the programme. University of Houston is pretty decent too but I'll respectfully tell you UH isn't in the same ranking with A&M. Ciao.

Both are good choice bro but in academic ranking A&M has it more but as regards GA TA & RA, they are very very competitive because houston is known for its diverse culture thereby attracting all this book worm Asians and Indians to compete with. You must be very grounded to merit and of this funding in houston.

Nevertheless, don't be discouraged, hard work, determination and dedication can get you all you want. Best of Luck

i notice most people come here and ask for schools to go to which isnt bad tho. firstly, different schools is good for different person, no one should ask for schools to go to, you have to check yourself then come back and say these r my findings, are the school ok. Many people follow each other to their schools which isnt too goo.

Plwase lets try and know what we want and why we want it before leaving this country. kmow whats best for you, search what school is good for you, know if your course is accreditted for the country you going to.

G! Did you call EMS or USPS to inquire about the status of your package. Mine still says Processed Through Sort Facility''- Lagos IMPC Air using Usps & Send item abroad (Export) using trackitonline and this is since last week friday. no other update(s) again. Does it mean it has left Nigeria?

Track it and make sure it's left Nigeria to avoid delay coz sometimes these guys at EMS do mess up. I had bizarre experience with them and so, had to ask for their boss hehehe.

You can't be too right! Texas A&M and UH are miles apart. Texas A&M is a worldclass institution. UH is good because of Texas opportunities which Texas A&M has too.

Do you see my reply to him? Your BSC in biological field is relevant to studying nursing. You'll be applying for bachelors in nursing and you will need to transfer some of your undergraduate credits. If not, you will have to do everything again and spend more money and time.
