I completed OND,HND,PGD in Computer Science. Applying to do my Masters in Naija no make sense to me ooooo so I resorted to Finland application. After email correspondence to universities in Finland, I applied to eight universities (Aalto,Helsinki,UEF,TUT,LUT,Abo Akademi,UTA,Oulu) grin grin grin grin despite the fact that some didn't recognize my credentials to been equivalent to B.Sc Computer science. I still applied. Devil want work overtime when I took TOEFL on the 5th of December,2015. PHCN took the power and before it could be restored.... infact long story. Retook PTE on 12th January,2016 and scored 60 points. UAF accepted my transcripts. when admission results were coming, Rejections were busy coming and was emotionally down, In fact I almost cried embarassed embarassed embarassed when TUT I put my hope bleeped. But all was still cool. I did LUT interview on 7th April,2016 . On 19th April,2016 by 11:23 am, I got this mail from LUT after getting 7 rejects:

Dear ************ ****,

Thank you for applying to Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT).

We are happy to let you know that you have been conditionally accepted to the Master’s Programme in Computer Science – congratulations on your acceptance and welcome to LUT!

Being conditionally accepted means that, since you have applied as undergraduate your study right will be valid only, if you will graduate by July 31, 2016 and will be able to submit LUT Admissions Services an officially certified copy* for your Degree Certificate and the Transcript of Records together with official translations in English** for both these documents which have to be received by us by August 5, 2016 at 15:00 (GMT+2).

Your Admission Letter will be sent to you by regular mail on April 20, 2016.

Together with the Admission Letter you will receive all the necessary information on your arrival to Finland and Lappeenranta as well as on housing and starting your studies, including information on student tutoring and the Orientation Days.

While waiting for your Admission Letter to arrive, you can already have a look at the on-line version for the Arrival Instructions for International Degree Students at www.lut.fi/masters > Student Selection.

Please note that you need to accept your study place at LUT by June 3, 2016 and start your studies in Lappeenranta on August 30, 2016.

You can accept your study place with the forms enclosed to your Admission Letter.

Kindly note that you may only accept one study place in Finland and the one you first accept will be the final choice for you.

If you would like to meet other admitted students from all over the world and some of the current students of LUT, please click the link below and ask for acceptance to our closed Facebook Group where you can network with other students and ask questions and discuss about LUT: https://www./1684986985086221/ .

Dear New Student,

we are happy to offer you a study place in one of our Master's degree programmes at the School of Information Sciences (SIS). The programme is given in the title of this message (if you applied to many SIS Master programmes you should know that you have been selected to this SIS progamme only).

We will be sending out the official letter of acceptance (or notification of conditional acceptance in case we do not yet have an attested copy of your final degree diploma) by email as soon as possible next week.

We will also send you soon by email a more detailed message regarding practical matters. There is lots of information here http://www.uta.fi/admissions/newstudents.html so you could first check the information available there.

You might also be interested in applying for the UTA Summer School 2016 http://www.uta.fi/admissions/summer_school/index.html. For UTA degree students the course units are free of charge, but you have to apply here http://www.uta.fi/admissions/summer_school/how_to_apply.html by 8 May.

Welcome to study at the University of Tampere!

If you have in the meantime decided against studying with us, please let me know by answering this email as soon as possible. Cancellations are not uncommon, as each applicant of course chooses the university, city or country most suited to his/her needs!

Best regards,

Kirsi

Lol. No be only me waka come oo. As regards answers to your questions, I read Computer Science in UNILAG as an undergraduate and I av not gotten any Masters degree. I also didn't graduate with a first class. In fact, I had a 3.63 CGPA. Before these offers started coming in, I've always seen myself as the least qualified considering the number of applications to Finland schools. It's just been God's mercies and grace. Boss, I hail o. You don't have to stress it. Open a new account and you can write in your letter of explanation that you had to open a new account as your hitherto account has been with a bank that's not recommended by the embassy. Moreover, that shouldn't pose much of a hassle as you're using a sponsor abi person wey no get bank account before no go fit apply for visa? In a nutshell, you don't even have to use both accounts, just use the new one and your sponsor's six months statement of account which will also show the transfer of the huge amount to your account. However, if using both accounts will allay your fear, you may proceed with them.
Bosses in the house go shed more light
Best of luck baba!

Nope, but you'll need it a great deal when you get to Finland(for jobs and loads more). Coupled with the fact that getting one over there is tedious and expensive but having one from here will ease and expedite the process.

why not give him your arm card or better still register for Internet banking and give him the token and details. if he can trust you enough to borrow you that sum of money you should be able to trust him enough to give him your bank details. Just my thoughts
Re: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by anniekoko: 9:07am On Apr 23, 2016
Good morning everyone, pls want to also ask a question regarding the RP application. Pls how long should the said sum of money be in my account before i can print out my account statement for application online. For instance, lodgement into my account was made yesterday. Does it have to stay 2 weeks before I print and use to apply online or something?
Secondly, after having printed and I have applied online with it, and sent my documents to the embassy 2 weeks before my appointment as instructed, do I have to re print a fresh statement showing the funds are still in my account? Or the 2 week stale statement will still be relevant during the interview? Pls brothers I need your guidance. Thank you.
Re: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by anniekoko: 9:17am On Apr 23, 2016

you cannot apply for masters in another area of study. Your BSc has to be related to your masters in a way. No matter how irrelevant you think a course is, there has to be relationship or link with your bsc. You can't apply for cultural studies with a bsc in a business related course. I advise that you apply for something business related. I applied to several schools but didn't get accepted cos of this reason. Read through the requirements carefully on studyinfo.fi after searching for the course you desire to study.
