Well, left for me, I'd say either sexes who's altruistic and ambitious should avoid dating/associating with anyone that has "petty" attitudes. Guess what, pettiness is not an exclusive preserve of the financially poor female folks.

A lady that is altruistic and virtuous but financially poor is worth keeping and pampering. Petty people are covetous, egocentric, predacious, self conceited, prejudicial, judgmental etc. And they can be found in different societal financial classes.
