I have exactly the same problem.

Car is a V6. Steering wobbles/jerks from side to side once i cross 60km. Apply the brakes causes whole car to vibrate. You get the impression that the tyres and rotors are bad.

I have changed rotors, tyres, brake pads, and the problem persists. Lower arms, control arms, upper arms, and ball joints have been checked. Problem persists. I have worked on my steering rack and still have not solved the problem.

Yesterday we noticed a bit of clearance in my intermediate shaft ( extension shaft ) and passenger side hub. Both were replaced and i noticed a slight improvement. Applying the brakes now does not result in any vibration but steering wobble still persists.

Has anyone experienced this and solved it?

What exactly do you mean by 'wobbling'?

Does your steering wheel jerk from side to side in your hand while driving at top speed and your car vibrates at the same time?

Do you hear some noise from your front wheels, especially when turning?

Good Day,
House, Kindly help me on this issue that is driving me crazy.
I drive a 2002 Honda Accord V.Tech Engine.
My right wheel tire wobbles when I speed up to about 40 or 60. When I take off my feet from the pedal it stops wobbling. A number of times my mech
told me to change both up and down bolts and the arm. Whenever I do that I only notice the changes for about 2weeks and it wil become obvious again.
Changed the hub, did wheel balancing and aligement but same thing still keep occurring.
A mech complained that my right back tire was bad and its the one causing the front right wheel tire to wobble . My Vulganizer checked it and said the tire is not in a bad state to cause the front right wheel to wobble. I changed that tire and replaced it with my extra tire after changing the bolts again. After about 2weeks I started feeling the right front wheel wobbling again. All this has been going on for about 4 months now back and forth.
I am extremely disturbed now. Someone should kindly assist me on what can be happening.
When I say wobble I mean the tire shaking and making the body of the car to also shake and even feel it on the pedal while it won't make any strange sound. Its not when I turn or when on slow movement but when that speed is attained.
Pls I need advice on what to do.

While several authorities would recommend a viscous mineral oil like the 20W-50 for a depreciating engine (like Gazzuzz has prescribed), I would suggest a viscous synthetic blend like the Mobil1 0W-40 for your engine. It is more stable at sustained high temperatures for prolonged periods (seeing that you travel a lot), compared to mineral oil. It is far less likely to dry up when you travel long distances like Lagos to Katsina, and it lubricates better. Although, it's more expensive than the mineral oils.
Cheers!
totally agree. Total oil 20w-50 was used on my EOD but recommended is 5w-20. I want to change back to the recommended oil as I noticed the car feels dull & the steering stiff after the 20w-50 was used. Also can 20w-50 make steering stiff or it's due wrong power steering fluid?. Please what is your advice, how do I go about changing it to the recommended. Thanks boss

Somebody save me.

I was driving the EOD today when i noticed it wasn't transmitting well.

It goes off when i depress the breaks at holdups, I also noticed the lights were going off.

So i parked and thought to adjust the battery head properly.

It has since ceased to start since then.

Local mechanics have been giving me different diagnosis. One said it's Key Code, another brain box, another fuel pump.

Please is there anyone who knows what to do ?.

I am in Abuja and need an urgent fix please.

If possible this evening as car is presently parked on the road.

Thanks.

Abuja.

Clean or replace your fuel pump. This might involve a repeat of injector cleaning too.

You are likely dealing with power steering pump failure, which may be outright or the system needs flushing.

Before total failure, did you ever hear a squealing noise whenever you start the car or when you turn the steering?

Action:

- Check power steering fluid LEVEL and COLOUR (appears clear pink or dirty?)

- Check your power steering pump and trace hoses linked with your engine running, while having someone turn the steering all the way to the right and left. You are looking for leakage or squeals.

- Power steering switch may be faulty

- Power steering pump itself may be the culprit

Report what you find, so you can gradually narrow down to the main problem.

Cheers!

Are you aware that newer cars have electric power steering? Don't assume until you are sure.

Yes
Someone I call to check for to me told me that it has no power steering pump.

It uses electrical power steering.

I am about diagnosing it to know the exact problem and solution.

Just want to confirm if anyone have such problem and solution as well.

Cos I read that is one of the defect of that brand (2013 honda accord )

When I saw your post, I tried to check online and found out Honda had class action suits on this issue. A scan and thorough internet search would be of help.

Hullo Sir!

Thanks for your important and correct observation.

As I hurriedly scanned through earlier in the day, I certainly had a mental impression of an earlier model of Accord, in spite of the fact that vinzita1 had clearly written 2013 (dunno how I managed not to let that sink in). Maybe because we've not been discussing much about the more recent models here as often.
Just settling in for the day and I see my error. Apologies to vinzita1 and all.

Like you said, the power steering problem described by vinzita1 has actually been reported by MANY other users of the model. I guess it's the 'achilles heel' of the series. Imagine how embarrassing it could be for a vehicle's steering system to fail in transit!

The more alarming thing is that many reported failure at a mileage less than 40,000. This might mean potential consumers may want to stay away from the model.

One user reported that symptoms stopped only after steering rack was replaced.

@vinzita1: You may want to do as advised by adanny01.. You may gain some insight regarding what to do.
Do let us know if any codes were pulled on scanning.

Regards!

Hondas are nice cars, reliable and economical just the traction problems that are common to all of them.

They dont like bad roads, the bowjoints are so fragile the break at the slightest provocation.
