I met Viola at the university, very beautiful young lady. I loved her so much but she was always asking for money from me even as a struggling student. I tried to dissuade her from the attitude but her chant of "you're not caring" will always rent the air at each occasion l tried to. Always very confident about herself. After NYSC, I secured a job where I earned 60k per month, she was in her final year then. I told her about the job and her response was "is it 60k job you're celebrating"? I made it clear to her that I won't continue the relationship, she smiled and went away.

She later sent a message to me in the night of that day saying "60k is not enough to marry me, good riddance to bad rubbish". Fast forward six years with a wonderful wife and two beautiful kids, I bumped into her in a mutual friend father's funeral yesterday in Abeokuta, she wasn't looking as beautiful as she used to be, I greeted and exchange pleasantries with her, she responded grudgingly at first but later came back to tell me that "you're looking like a real man now". I asked her what she meant which she didn't respond to.

I heard from a friend who followed me to Ife from Abeokuta while driving down to my base at Akure today that she actually separated from her husband because the guy lost his job in the bank in 2014. What an unrepentant money monger is this Viola lady? I haven't stopped thanking my God that I made a wise decision to leave her in 2009. I pray she learn on time.

I have an advise for young ladies and gentlemen in the house, ladies change your mindset about money issues if its wrong like Viola's. Young men, shine your eyes and work very hard to earn a respectable living, cheers.

bro i tap into this knowledge.. my dad already made it clear to me never to marry any woman out of pity and i don't plan on making such mistake..

You don't need the holy spirit to tell you she is whack, that's why I tell guy and girls don't go into a relationship with you heart but go in with your head. You are only allow to use your heart in marriage

So what now happens when her husband gets another job? I think Viola does not fit into the Wife categorisation, but the prostitution ring that they have nicknamed to make it sound good - Hustling!!! Very disgusting indeed. These days it is extremely easy to get sex than get a good female friend, talk more of a wife.

Ladies get your priorities right, learn how to add value to your future husband rather than living off him like a leech because very soon Nigerian Men may have to start for Wife in Shoprite/Game like the shop for shoes and wristwatches.

Bro. Thank God On your behalf. Some girls will just come with their money suckers and want to suck the life out of you. I wonder when they will learn. As for me, I've taken serious time to talk sense into my younger sister who's still a teen. And she hated the idea of asking a man for money.... She sees it as if she's disgracing herself and lowering her selfworth by even collecting stuffs from those small guys and useless men that chase her. Ive seen her turn stuffs down. I'm glad About her.

As for viola.... She's one fool who needs to be wise immediately

Most ladies think of now and not later. Ladies, if he's true to you, loves you, wants you for keeps but earning low or close to nothing now, your duty is to encourage him, love him and always pray, pray, and pray some more. Thank God for you, Op dear.
I hope some will listen to ur advice..

Well you better advise and monitor her strongly and the friends she has because it is very easy to convince ladies to fall as victims, these days. There are many men in Nigeria willingly to throw some cash around, only responsible girls can resist the temptation, especially those that don't watch keeping up with the Kardashians

And what on earth will prevent you from making your own money? why date a guy "with the hope that he will make it" what if he never makes it?

It's high time ladies stop making this vague and lame comments about a guy leaving them if he makes it big..MAKE YOUR OWN MONEY TOO and stop that leech mindset.

No lady is doing a broke guy a favor by staying with him..if a lady wants to leave a broke guy abeg let her shush.

Yeah, you're right, but that does not give you an excuse to be a gold digger. Know your self-worth and respect it. A bad man will be a bad man, money or no money. What you need to look out for are the signs that he truly means well for you and is willing to go the extra mile to make you happy.

You should now be the 1 to tell her;Good riddance to a bad rubbish'! !!you now laughed last. The lady I was supposed to go to the Altar with did worse brother, I was there for her to write her waec, necco (had to dress like a lady student to enter the hall during the mathematics and English language then),got her through computer school, paid her bills got her nice things (was a sec school teacher then) , but immediately sister got a job with an oil firm in the north she started acting up against me!yours truly became a poor ordinary school teacher! Big big guns started running after her with money she had never seen in her generation. I got to Abuja for a better life and started settling down only to come to the north to propose to her. ....hahahaha...come see gobe!! I became a washing sponge in front of my own once adorable princess, she kicked me out ..iI knelt down in a public Gare market. .she left me there .....fast forward till date after a pretty 7yr old daughter. From a more heart pretty damsel in my life...she is yet to get married .....i weep for her daily because I heavenly loved her ...but she had her own canoe to paddle ......such is life my brother people van be anything. .just tag along and let God be the one to guide you. Once again thank God for you.
Bro i thank God for ur life too..
Doing all those just for a woman not ur mum or sister, wife or daughter is totally out of place..
Good to see u happy.

Repentance is not in her dictionary, she will continue to live like that until she finally ruin her life.

Every body digs Gold. Understand that.
The bolded unfortunately is not entirely correct.
Like I said, you can never fully understand the true character of a broke guy. People may change of course, for various reasons.
