Good morning house.
Please I need suggestions and advice as to what could be wrong with me.
Hubby and I have decided to go through with icsi come October after TTC for 4yrs. Doctor advised icsi cos hubby's sperm count was a bit low but with good motility.
I have worries.
I worry because each time am about to see my period, I have severe stomach cramp. I have lower abdominal pain too every other day. What I have noticed is that I have severe pains when am about to end my pee.I don't don't even know how to descripe the pain I feel but I feel it's infection. When am on my period, every part of my tummy hurts. Then I feel this sharp pain just at the middle down my lower abdomen. Not to mention that I stool and phew throughout too. My toilet is usually my best friend during this period.
The amazing thing is after seeing our fertility doctor, he recommended we start our procedure cos there is nothing wrong.
I have my fears that my babies might not stick cos there is something wrong and that thing is infection.
Now, I have taken a lot of drugs for infections. Am now confused as to what to take.
I don't want to do this procedure until am free from this cramps and pain.
Please anyone with a suggestion as to what I can do or best anti bacterial drugs to take?

Unexplained infertility is a term we hear a lot in the reproductive world.Loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) and cryosurgery damage for cervical dysplasia or HPV. These procedures can in some cases cause cervical scar tissue damage which may close off the ducts that secrete the cervical mucous. This is very rare because Medical Equipmentsare difficult to get.Avoid anti-nutrients– Processed foods abound

Fruitfulmum:

He said what he will never do is to go against his patients wish.

I spoke with the doctor on asking people with male factor to do donor.he told me except the man has azosperm and refuses to do Tese (inversion or operation to get the sperm from source which he does) that is when he offers donor as an alternative.

I don't know how far this is true.

That's not true. He told somebody whose spouse had ok s..m to do donor AND that he didn't have to know.
Congrats on your bfp biko

BEST WAY TO KNOW IF YOUR BABY IS FINE

4D scan allow you to see your baby as if it has been born, so that any malformations can be detected and something done about it. Also sex can be seen and is 100% accurate. The Doppler detects whether the baby's condition is fine, ie if enough blood is flowing to the baby. For example, once there is any concern about the babies health, Doppler should be done.

The conditions that can be assessed are:
1. Exact picture of the baby in colour and video like one shown here. You can have the videos recorded on flash drive to play for families. It promotes bonding as you see the baby open its mouth, suck thumb, grin, and other behaviors you never thought babies engage in. No woman ever forgets the experience, and the pictures and videos are there for life
2. Sex from 3 months
3. Any abnormality in the baby
4. Doppler of mother and baby to know if enough blood is getting to the baby. If enough blood is getting to the baby (ie if the Doppler of umbilical artery is normal), that baby cannot die in the womb in the next one week. So Doppler is the main test of fetal wellbeing worldwide now. So, whenever the doctor says that IUGR is suspected, that is poor fetal growth, then Umbilical artery Doppler must be done so that unnecessary CS is avoided. Umbilical artery Doppler was shown to have 100% specificity for predicting foetal outcome, See http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23457860 . What this means is that once the Doppler scan of your babies umbilical artery shows that blood is flowing to your baby, it means that in all of such cases the baby will be okay.
So, if your baby is not kicking fine, or you have any illness that you think might have affected your baby, or the doctor/nurse says your baby is not growing well etc, go straight for umbilical artery doppler ultrasound.

5. Prediction of outcomes of pregnancy. Eg MCA Doppler if woman is Rhesus negative, Uterine artery Doppler to know if the woman will develop Hypertension in pregnancy, so that low dose aspirin can be started to prevent it
6. Nuchal translucency to detect if baby has chromosomal anomaly eg Down syndrome
7. Infertility scan, such as sonoHSG to replace X-Ray HSG, Follicular monitoring etc

Essentially it performs all the required scan to ensure that the woman sees and interpret the findings herself.

4D ultrasound allows the pregnant woman to see her baby's overall body so that if there is any abnormality, it can be detected on time and the woman can see for herself. Gone are the days when an ultrasound scan will say one thing and the woman or the doctor is not convinced

Hello my dear,as others have said there is no way u can get a diagnosis in a public forum and ur gyno/fert specialist is the best person to advise u. That said,i will just tell u what i think, maybe u can ask your doctor about it. I had exactly same symptoms u described. Very painful cramping during AF and a burning sensation when I wee, the toilet my best friend too during Af. I was diagnosed of Endometriosis so u could just express ur concerns to ur doc n ask him to check for possible endometriosis .All the best, everything will come to pass.

Finally the Lord has done it.
Yes im here to testify and encourage someone. God blessed me with a bfp in my 3rd IVF in August and today 1 saw my babies heartbeat.
Ive not been via what u have been through or you are going through but ive had a bitter test of infertility. Have stage 4 endometriosis with hydrosalpinx. When i was told sorry maam we have to take out your tube for the best result i felt like my world had collapsed. That was after having surgery in February this year and i was being asked to go in for another one to take out the tube with hydrosalpinx bc i didn't signed the consent form to take anything out before the first surgery. I wept but committed everything to God and bounce gracefully into the theater in april and everything went well and i was put on a monthly shot of lupron for 4 months. Immediately after the 2nd surgery my clinic called and said they were gonna refer me to another clinic because they couldn't handle our case and gave their reasons,oh dear was it disappointing?thats an understatement of what i felt. They referred us then and it took over 2 months just to get a call for the first appointment. My DH with his faith kept saying we shouldnt worry that as soon as we get into the new clinic everything will be a.marathon but i didnt just listen bc i was seeing a waitlist of 6months to do ivf after your initial appt.Fastforward to our first appt july ending just as DH said everything came as a dream we started our cycle 4 days after our first appt which was an exceptional case. Why it happened that way,Grace.

THINGS I DID DIFFERENTLY
-Started eating 5 brazil nuts per day from day 1 of stims
-1 tab of 81mg aspirin/day from day 1 of stim (its part of hospital protocol)
-Drank pomegranate juice and ate the fruit itself from day of retrieval to day before ET
-Drank cranberry juice from day of transfer throughout my 2ww
-Divided the core of 1 pineapple and ate 1 slice everyday from day of transfer to day 5
-wore very thick socks throughout my 2ww
Dont know if all the above did the job but atleast my mind was at ease that im trying my best and yaayyyy it was a bfp after a long wait. Thank you Lord and I hope so.eone is encouraged by my story. Never ever give up,people use different paths to arrive at same destination but the most important thing is we will all get there.

Please house my husband's semen was recently analyzed and the result says he has no sperm count (i.e 0 millions) and we have been TTC for 3yrs now. A doctor (not a urologist) carried out physical examination by weighing his scrotums and dipping hands into his anus to confirm if there is a blockage. He then said that the scrotum's weight is normal and the anus track is free which indicates there is no blockage. He recommended that he undergoes hormonal profile test which he has also done but will take a month before the result is out. Meanwhile, i am believing its just a hormonal issue which means that supplements can boost sperm production. My question is:
1. Is the physical examination a true test for blockage?
2. who knows about Nisa-prime fertility centre in port harcourt. I Learjet from a friend that they have good success rate and that they are cheaper when it comes to IVF,IUI, ICSI and the likes. I want to gather the whole information i need to prepare myself if it boils down to that. Please house, anyone who has used Nisa-prime should share his/her experience. May God see us through this journey successfully. Thanks.

Hello fruitful mamas! Trust we r all doing gr8. Pls advise a sister who has been Ttcing for close to 5yrs.

I had an hsg 2months ago n was diagnosed of patent tubes with right perifimbrial adhesion n left hydrosalpinx.

I had a failed ivf last year n my new Gynae believed I can still have a natural conception even with the diagnosis. He placed me on antibiotics for over 2months now but theres no much improvement so far. Based on my research, ivf is the best option for me but have to cut off the tube with hydrosalpinx.

Should i keep trying or go straight to ivf.
Pls advise a sister.

The best time to do anything is now. Speaking from my own perspective of over 5 years TTCing I ask warra you waiting for? If the doctor has adviced to remove the tunes please do so. See henmaris' testimony on this page.
Chances of success are always higher after the culprit tube is removed.
Ivf increases chances again so warra u waiting for? Note: my opinion is founded on medicine. Pray for leading and may God who knows our secret pain never let go of your hand

pls go for a 2nd opinion, dipping hands into a,nus to check for blockage??!!.. as per fertility?...never heard of such b4, weighing scrotum is ok.
look for a urologist, there are many in ph,
2ndly i think he should start taking sperm boosting supplements now, either herbal or english

fertilsan m, fertileaid, addyzoa etc...do ur research
for herbal, various agbo drinks hv been advertised, also onion and honey n guava leave therapy dey too.
u need to take charge, reseach and take the best option, above all pray.

@fruitfulvine 30, i think cutting off the left tube is the best route to go, u wud still have 1 patent tube, thus you could continue trying naturally or go the ivf route, without disadvantages

If u are going natural for now, consult a Urologist . There's one at Rumuomasi, heard he trained abroad n has over 20 years experience. And once it comes up , u can start with IUI or straight to ICSI. If his job doesn't take him out of town try iui, i pray u achieve result with your first trial. Other mamas have spoken well.but is it possible to do hydrotubation thrice under sedative? Then after that u can decide.

Laparoscopy isn't bad but the cost.

It is well. Others have achieved results. Don't get tired. Soon u will testify. And put God first.Have u read that thread that blendy opened on block tubes? Take the next three months to exhaust all available options before taking that bold step.soon u will testify.

Since you've tried IVF and you can still afford it, going for salpingectomy & hydrotubation and then trying to conceive the natural way may be time consuming and u know, every month that u miss count! I think you should give it another try but you need to ask your gyne about factors that will increase your chances of having a successful IVF this time. Your age and that of your hubby play a major role. Eggs from younger donors have more tendency to survive compare to eggs from old donors. Some centre's are also doing better and having more positive results too.

U are right. I wish she could exhaust all options. 3 months or 90 days is not too long.moreover people prepare themselves for 3 or 6 months before they commence ivf. Trying natural could also be preparing her for ivf, detox, anti biotics, prayers , good supplements, eating right etc
