The pain comes and goes but it's a bit bearable. I'll take the drugs I was given till it finishes. If it still hurts this much I'll go back and request for a stronger pain medication

my prince can suckle for Africa oooooooooooooooooooooo chaiii. he is lucky with the breast cos d way it is flowing ehn is another thing. na true talk say size of breast no matter. Day 2 old,,, my son suckled for 3 hours at a stretch that I was crying. As I was breastfeeding him Dh was feeding me with pap at the same time.

had miscarriage at 18weeks at about this time last year due to cervical incimpetence, two months later i took in again nd at 18weeks was told that cervix was dilating nd then i want for cerclage, nd during the cerclage the doc said there was little or no cervix left that it just remaining like 1cm. Nd she just tried to hold the little she could manage to get. Nd after the cerclage was told that its a 50-50, infact they said the chances are slim. So was adviced to be on bed rest nd no kpekus, so i tried been on bed rest but couldnt for long cos had to go for nysc things. But after much stress i still go bak to my bed rest. Went for antenatal one day nd was asked to come for another cerclage Dat they doubt if that other one could hold baby, so i declined nd refused though the cost for cerclage was high but Dat wasnt why i refused, i refused cos i told God nd said baba it is u nd i in this pregnancy, prayers upon prayers.i was scared but i was positive still. So fastforward to 37weeks,never knw i would reach 37 weeks. Even the doctors were surprised, though wasnt easy had gestational diabetes which i was able to manage with just diet though under the supervision of dieticians. So at 37 weeks cerclage was removed nd i thought i would fall into labour immediately but i was wrong, God said i will tell u dat i am God, infact i was wishing i would put to bed 36or 37weeks. Infact i had already told my mum to code early. So that was how i started walk ooo, long walk that when i get back would be so tired, was practically going for walks everyday both short nd long walk. So fastforward to 39weeks 5days, was just cooking nd i felt water gush down knw it was my water that just came, though not all, so i padded up nd took a little time, Went to the labour ward nd was told that was already 5cm dilated

Thank you Sis....It's not been easy that's why I can not come here as often but I hopeit gets better. I developed a strategy for night ...I breast feed on bed. I just got a breast pump too

Britneystacy, don't worry. As you keep pumping, you will get more. Also keep a big bottle of water next to you and sip along as you are pumping. Again, there are times of the day wen you get the best from pumping eg early in the morning

Thanks for the response. I drink lots of water. The user manual of the pump says I should pump twice a day...so am afraid if pumping more time may spoil the device. The product is even flo electric pump

Was told that am already 5cm God, though there was no strong contractions yet,but during the VE, the doctor told me dat she swept my cervix to help me dilate faster nd not long after the VE i started feeling strong contractions but the doc said it wasnt strong enough nd needs to be augmented so was given oxytocin in drip nd contractions became stronger, told myself wasnt going to scream nd shout anyhow cos av got high threshold for pain, but at a point forget high threshold ooo, started shouting in tongues, i shouted nd say repeatedly everything the doctors nd midwives were telling me in a very funny manner, well to cut the long story short,. Water gush started around 4pm got to the labour ward between 6 nd 7pm,got checked nd was 5cm dilated between 7 nd 8pm, labour was augmented around 10pm, nd after two hours became 8cm dilated nd then we went on from there nd was still forming strong small small. Was checked after an hour nd was still 8cm dilated nd i was like since 8cm dilated. So i told the doctor that i want to poo ooo i want to pooo ooo, i turned dat one to song again, so the midwives came nd checked me nd said that she could feel my babys head nd wen nxt i feel contractions i should push, that was how i was pushing ooo nd got weak couldnt push again nd then i told the midwive that i cant push again ooo, she just said just said that i should shut up nd never say that i cant push that see my babys head is here nd am saying such negative, then i was motivated to push harder meanwhile she was already using her hand to help nd all this was within split of munutes nd at 1:08am i birthed my princess nd all the pain disappeared. Baby wighed 2.9kg, the team that delivered me really helped in motivating me.
My appreciation to baba God is unending, him alone could av done this, not because i prayed nd fasted , its just his mercy nd grace, am still in awe of him, i cried for joy after i put to bed, its not my first but it was as if i have never put to bed, dats the Joy a baby brings to one. Nd i pray that God will grant everyone that needs this kind of Joy, that God of awe nd wonders will surprise u all. hop someone learns from this.

Hello mummies,God bless you all on this thread,am 40 weeks gone today,and a ftm,sometimes the pain comes and I think it's time but later off it goes for the past 3 days,pains that holds my legs so badly,I can't wait to meet my lo,I wake up everyday with hope which is causing me some anxiety now,thinking having a hot shower will help induce labour since walking isn't helping,less I forget,my breast milk has been flowing like every sec,I have to wear a pad often,am tired o,today is latest EED of all the scan I did
