Please did anyone just board emirate from the u.s to Nigeria. I want to ask if they check in stroller&car seat for free plus diaper bag or its part of the baby's luggage.
Called emirate they are giving me conflicting answers.
Have got twin stroller and their bed before I have too much excess luggage
Pls which twin stroller did you get and how much did you get it?

The thing tire person to risk N1.6m transfer to make N200K profit going with the present exchange rate.
Unfortunately there are crooks there at the airport who will easily oblige to this offer.

Nigeria is gone undecided

Abuleoshi:

You want to sell $4000 you bought from Travelex at N360 and sell at N400 per dollar? That means you make easy 160k gaming the system? Small time you will Shout politicians are thieves? Why won't dollar rate keep going up when economic buccaners like you keep gaming the system.
Hope when Buhari comes up with a policy that stops the selling of PTA to Travellers, you won't join the crowd to shout Buhari is bad, because you guys caused it!

@debby516 @triplekmama i think things are truly no longer the same. three banks (ECO, UBA & SKYE) gave me same stories yesterday too that they no longer send WU/ or MG but receive. SKYE SAID THEY HAVE BACKLOG TO DEAL WITH. God help us!

Cbn have not intervened in the fx trading for a while now. Advice : if you re planning for your trip start buying ur dollars now. This thing is no longer rice and beans. Ur budget should be minimum of 7 million naira. The Nigerian naira is fast becoming bread paper

Time for further research!
Chiowerri, i sent you a mail.

At my first appointment in February 2016,Dr M told me to go and pay and register with St Francis immediately or as soon as the next day because ownership of the hospital changed in Dec 2015 of which might reflect on the self pay fees at anytime.
I never went to Centinela because like someone said their personnel via phone is just not friendly/saucy.Moreover I entered Uber one day and the driver just assumed am using Centinela and he was like hope you have plenty money because that hospital is very costly shocked
My take is even with the price increase St Francis is still cost effective because epidural, paediatrician visit @the hospital is still included in the package and they are not quick to send baby to NICU in order to make a fast buck.
Also for a twin mom they didn't charge for the second baby(am yet to see another hospital that does that).

In the spirit of giving back . I am now back in Nigeria . I had my baby at renown hospital Reno . They have an ob/gynae package .goes as follows for CS and vagina delivery
Hospital fees : 6025 for 3 days stay and 3900 for vaginal
Doctor fees :300 dollars for CS and 150 for vaginal
Prenatal fees 800 dollars ;which include prenatal care , all lab work ( I did plenty .. Doesn't matter how many you do ) ,perinatologist referral ,ultrasound (2maximum), diagnostic testing and non stress test .
Circumcision fee: 200 dollars
Pediatrician fee: 100 dollars ( 2 visits at birth and at 2 weeks ... Includes all newborn test which is done twice ).
Anasthesia : 1500 but with self pay discount 1080
So I paid a total of 8050 for a cesarean section .
Thanks and I am open to questions . God bless all the mamas
Reno? As in close to Las Vegas grin grin grin Gambler lomo grin

Lol!
My sister! #AllEyesOnNaija

BossRevolution has increased their price for Naija calls... Now this! Whats next?

Its as if everyone is against us as a nation, even with our issues...
#ThereIsGod

You're right sha. They do take same cost for singleton an multiple births.

There are many other hospitals here in LA. I'm sure there are still cost effective ones out there.

God really favoured me. I was rejected last year with my husband when i wanted to have my first child in the US but God did it this time. I have silently followed this thread and read from Pt1 last year. Stopped at part 2 when my visa was refused. As soon as i got pregnant again, i resumed from where i stopped. Glad my sleepless nights paid off. No bank statements checked, just my doctors correspondence was checked and nothing else. Thanks to all the contributors of this thread. God bless you all. Good morning mummies and daddies. shoutout to all the mummies who travel alone for this missionary journey, y'all are the real mvp's. its not rice and beans o taking care of a newborn when mummy also needs to be taken care of.

Please I have a question, the visa application for baby requires flight itinerary to be sent in along with other documents. is computer/email printout ok for that as opposed to ticket gan gan? Then is it babies itinerary required or I can send just mine, cos I haven't bought baby's ticket yet?

Hi There,

I cant see ur email. Please send msg to otolomorin@yahoo.com! Thanks and God bless you.

gratefulalways:
Hi All,

Sorry I couldn’t post for a while. My DW & LO returned home many weeks ago. Thank God the journey went well. The breakdown of all bills paid (for CS) are:

Oakbend (Hospital fees): $3625
Dr F (Fees & Tests): $3150
NICS: $551.62
Epidural: $950 (Only got a Zero Balance Statement by email. No receipt was issued)
Brown & Associates: $208
Pediatrician Visit: $75
* DW cancelled hearing test
Baby’s ticket on Lufthansa: $444

BC came out 3 days after discharge. DW paid $23 for 1 copy

SSN Card came in the post 1 week after delivery.

I notarized the consent form at the US Embassy in Abuja & sent to DW by DHL immediately after baby was born.

US passport was expedited $165 (Same day collection as DW had booked appointment on phone)
Naija visa was processed by Tanko. It took 3 days via express mail.

We thank God for His faithfulness and loving-kindness and this is wishing everyone on this forum God’s blessings and He will definitely intervene in everyone’s situation & grant each and everyone favour in Jesus name.

Your stroller + car seat is free. Diaper bag too, it does not constitute part of baby's 23kg. Your diaper bag should not be checked in, it shld be baby's hand luggage. Also, give them the stroller+car seat at the door of the aircraft and request to av it bak in dubai if u av a long transit. This will make things easy for you.

How are the twinnies doin? I can imagine the victorious welcome that awaits them! All the best dear

The twins are going so well, all thanks to God. Weighing over 10 pounds,God has been over over faithful and He has been surprising us. Almost everything the twins have have been given to them,I almost didn't buy anything except for a few things even money sef. Anything they need within 2-3 days somebody somewhere a family or friend would call that do I need this or that or what do I want. It has been favor all through. Their dad can't wait, when I told him to allow us stay till Dec(was joking me sef want to go home) he screamed I should pass him his children ASAP. My mom is around too and we would be leaving together next month.
Was surprised when one emirates staff told me it's part of luggage the other said she wasn't sure. God has just been awesome,He never fails oooo. We are a living testimony
Thank you so much feddy.

For mamas that have not bought forex yet, do so as soon as you can. Forex is now so scarce, even banks that used to give are reducing their hand. I started building up my FX reserves from last year but was taking it too easy. I went to do WU and MG for both myself and my husband and they said they didn't have. I have gone round so many banks and it is the same story. I had to tip a guy N10k for him to help me out. He resumes by 7am just to help me get the FX and it has taken over1 week with him being successful with only 2 WU.

Don't rely on your cards because banks can decide to stop the use of cards.
