You go ban tire na. So what happens to freedom of expression and beliefs? So Yorubas are free to aspire and promote their Odua beliefs and Hausas, Arewa but Igbos of course are to be banned to talk or aspire for their beliefs in Biafra. Highly disappointed in you Seun.

What stops you from coming up with a superior argument why they should remain in Nigeria? Why are you so scared to discuss Biafra? Must we all have the same line of thoughts or intellectual discourse? I reject being or tagged a zombie where a fellow man will dictate what I discuss.

It's alright

I am from the South South married to a sweet yoruba man and I am not a Biafran!
I am and will remain a Nigerian!

Let's grow beyond this biafran thinking. What do you want your sisters, brothers, children married to other tribes to do?!
Leave their spouses and come to Biafra?
What a joke!

In this age of inter-tribal and even inter-racial marriages, you guys are still clamouring for Biafra. Pls leave me out. Look for better solutions

There are many Nigerians, men and women , who are married to people from other countries, the sky has not fallen down.

Even my younger sister is married to a man who is not even an African, the sky has not fallen down

One way to look at secession is what happend in Britain in 2014. Britain created Nigeria, if it were not for Britain, nobody here on Nairaland would have even ever heard the word Nigeria.

Yet, in 2014, Britain granted Scotland the right to secession via referendum after over 300 years together. When Scotland officially joined Britain in 1707, the Igbo/Yoruba/Hausa didnt even know about the existence of each other.

As the Scottish referendum approached, there was a widespread debate about secession all over Britain on Radio, Tv, social media and so on. People debated the pros and cons. Infact other places like Catalonia that wished to seceed from Spain and Monaco that wants to leave France were all gripped by the Scottish secession.

During the Scottish secession debates, nobody accused anybody of treason, nobody accused anybody of being unpatriotic and there was no mention of 'one Britain'. Scotland eventually voted by a small majority to remain in Britain and everyone accepted their decision.

But in Nigeria, just talking about secession can land one in serious trouble such as arrest, charged to court for treason, torture by any of the armed forces, beatings, insult and possibly death.

The same Nigeria everyone is shouting about and killed each other in the millions in a civil war and still kill each other to this day is just roughly a 100 years old.

Scotland was with Britain 300 years and no one was killed. There wasnt even any acrimony.

We Africans have a very very long way to go

So on point wink
