Yes, this thing has puzzled me for a while but why do guys wait for their girlfriends to get pregnant before getting married to them? This is the trend we see now. Celebrity examples are Tonto Dike, Laura Ikeji, PSquare just to mention a few. Not to talk of most people I know personally. This removes the sacredness of a pure union.

Is it that the pregnancy removes a cloak from their eyes and they realize that they want to get married to their girlfriends (something that didn't know before?) or they just want to do right by the lady, thereby, entering into a marriage they are not ready for.

This doesn't guarantee lasting and fruitful marriage for both of them because they both were kind of forced into it and not from their own genuine will, as it's meant to be.

I remember I first heard it from a naija friend I met who said that back in '09 fast forward to some years ago and i heard that its almost like a trend. The thing weak me sef.

It's because of "ignorance" dear God gives children not man, what if in the end a man marries her with pregnancy and she gives birth to a still birth or has a miscarriage and the case goes on and on, what will they do?

I personally know lots of young couples that have been married for years without any trace of the woman conceiving. What nonsense. What's the point of the whole union and restriction of freedom if not to have children and raise a family?

After fucking around carelessly with different useless guys (both married and single) and possibly messing up their reproductive system during their youth, they want to come and tie an innocent guy down into nonsense bondage with nothing to show for it. It doesn't work like that abeg.

baby, na the way now, what requires from a guy no matter how much he loves u still remain his responsibility, which he must fulfil. most ladies don use this love thing deceive many guys. Same applicable to guys as well. Let me ask just a question..what is the benefits of getting married for 5-10 yrs not having a baby? Are u in orientation camp?...the problem may come from both sides..but is it not better to prevent it on time by testing your reproductive responsibility to ascertain if both of u can produce desired results to avoid stories that touch the heart. Becos the reason for getting married is to hv a family, and a family should contain, father, mother and child. Any man and woman visiting prophets and fetish homes seeking for the fruit of the womb are very much guilty of that your pattern.

In some cases,ladies sometimes would want to get pregnant to be sure they or the guy sef no get issues expecially in a case where the lady or guy is advanced in age and have been in a previous affair without a child.

You can picture yourself as a 30something year old lady without a child who have had unprotected sex with your ex yet you never got pregnant. Now meeting say a 40year old man without a child who have been in a previous affair...the lady will start imagining crazy things and even if she really wants the guy,she will be like..."abi na me get problem...abi this guy no fit produce....abi na wettin make im ex run..."

So in some cases,some ladies sef Wan dey sure.

been married to a woman without children in nigeria, is not considered been married.

the laws of nigeria does not recognize church wedding. to promote its own culture and believe system.. this is what all government appointee take an oath too. they get paid dressing allowance

it only recognize women with children for you.

Nigeria WILL are written base on children.. and not been married.

If a woman has a child for a man, your name will be on his WILL. even if you are not married to that man. it is legitimate in nigeria.
