Hmmm, i got the shocker of my life on saturday when i went for my first scan, by LMP i should be 16wks by first week of may but according to scan i'm 16wks today....hmmm, i always use that scan center even in my previous pregnancies cos the scan is mostly accurate. I went in and lay on the bed not up to 5mins i lay on the bed, the next thing i heard is...''Congratulations.....you are having two babies"....whaaattttt? I just jumped off the bed immediately,i was about to run out of the room when the man held me and dragged me back,even the man himself was scared because for like 20mins i was just staring at the man like it seems your scan is no longer accurate. After much calming, he then said he was only joking. I said it better be a joke cos i can't remember when i asked God for that, even though i admire twins but i never open my mouth to ask for it before, even when someone says that prayer for me i send it back to the sender immediately. So i told the man neither myself nor DH has twins in their family so where will it come from and i warned never to make such jokes with me again, haaaa! After the whole drama, i left the room but the sonographer then called in DH privately to give him the scan result and told him that he wasn't joking but that it was true ...JESUS...when DH came out and showed me the result,tears started flowing down,i started thinking....where will i start from,how do i cope, we're not rich,we're just OK.Look at me still complaining of how i will cope with 2super active kids+another preggy with no help + working from 8-5,haaaa...who send me message, how did it happen? I concluded i will try another scan center next month.....i can't believe it yet......Right now i need a miracle in my life!

My sil first scan showed two babies at 8weeks by the second scan at 12 weeks the third one said Hello! I am.here too o grin

October mamas, I'm feeling baby's first movements ooo. Started feeling it last week and I'm still in awe! No, not kicks, they also call it quickening. I no fit describe am sha but na movement and I look out for it everyday.
It's just amazing to have a new life being formed inside of us, isn't it?

Yes oo,it's gradually going off. I'm beginning to appreciate God's blessing but only praying to perfect his work in my life. I've been feeling the movement too for long especially when i'm eating.....It's wonderful! Wait till you start feeling the kicks as well

Hmnnnnn, a friend just gave birth to twins (a girl and a boy) after 10 years of waiting. I cried tears of joy when i received this news. They had another try with IVF at bridge clinic and God answered them.

I just want to use this to encourage you all, the devil is a liar. We will all birth our miracles by His grace

Writing from experience, please don't. If hubby says you guys should wait till you are financially stable then please understand with him. It may not be upto a year, maybe 6,7 or even 8months but babe, best believe you need that financial stability because baby no dey understand say money no dey. You gats cough it up. I got pregnant three weeks after my wedding. I and hubby spent so much on our wedding(which we regret till now) so I was very pissed when I realized I was pregnant because we were yet to put our finances in order. Despite both of us having OK jobs, things are only just stabilizing for us financially the way we want it. We couldn't do so many things we wanted to in the beginning because we had to set up baby's funds, hospital registration, set aside funds for other things, running the household, eating out and date nights and THEN SAVINGS!!. Babies are expensive and if hubby says to wait, then please wait.

July Mamas, how far? So I went shopping yesterday and I just kept exclaiming and exclaiming. Baby things are soo f***king expensive. I spent over 150k and when the stuffs were loaded into the car, hubby kept asking if that was all we bought. Like where did the money go? Still have some things to buy but hope to be done with shopping by month's end. Congrats to all the mothers that have birthed the LOs.

Lies .... nope, communication... yes. Please sit with your husband and plan your finances. A lot of Nigerians are not financially stable and they have children. Expenses will continue to crop up no matter what and in my own opinion, if you cut your cloth according to ur cloth ( i hope i got that correctly) you should be fine.

Don't mind me o, I got married at 26, waited over 7 years before one belle enter. So I don't advice waiting for the first child when it comes to financial instability. As long as both of you are hardworking, I believe something will definitely be coming in.

You are the one that knows your capability and strength and that of your husband. I know mine cos even with a little money while in school like 15 years back, I was paying tithe of N2K (earning 20k monthly) only from phone calls at night/selling noodles (not full time) as I was combining both Bsc with ICAN lectures/exam. I hated begging and I had to do something to augment my pocket money which was non existent anyway.

If hubby still says no, then simply tag along with him. Work together to achieve your plan. We will soon celebrate with you very soon. Cheers

What sleeping position do u place her?
Ensure she sleeps on her tommy. its cos of the navel. it disturbs some babies more . I use gripe water for my girls then and i hear people use nospamin too.
