This OP never fails to hide his tribalistic nature and its a big shame for such a young guy.
You have a long way to go.
IPOB and Igbo are different, if you want to attack Ipob, attack them and leave Igbos alone.
You are a hate filled childish guy and its a big shame, do you see Efewestern comments here, very matured because he knows that Ipob is different from Igbos.
How many times will it be explained to you?

What is difficult for ipob to fight for secession alone? Why involving other tribes that have nothing to do with Igbos

Trying to create an imaginary divide makes you appear ridiculous.

I am not Efewestern and he is not me. Everyone cannot be the same. Just the way you are not like the militant Igbos on this forum.

If my methods are perceivably militant then it is due to my radicalisation by IPOB youths on this forum.

Finally, you may think yourself high and mighty, the adult, the one who's beyond hate and IPOB drama but you are no better than any of them. As long as you do not speak out against the tribalism and Igbocentricism then you are on the same bandwagon. As long as you believe what your ilks are doing online is right then you are one with them.

I have posted something your fellow Igbo has written but you found nothing wrong with his implication that Urhobos are Biafrans. Instead, you picked on my militant-styled rebuttal of that stand. Such a shame!

Nwanye, please leave matters such as this alone if you are going to take sides. You are far TOO OLD for this.

fratermathy:
I came across this laughable plea from IPOB online and as an Urhobo, I found it laughable and delusional. I'll express my sentiments under the post.

My issues with this delusional plea include:

1. The writer couldn't even spell Urhobo well. What he spelt was Uhrobo, not Urhobo. I have met several Igbos lash on others who dared to omit the "g" in Igbo and spelt as Ibo. The fact that someone or a group that supposedly means us well do not even know how to spell the name of our ethnicity is definitely laughable.

2. Urhobos/Isokos HAVE NEVER been a part of Biafra at any point. In 1967, Urhobo/Isokoland was in Nigeria's Mid-West State (previously in the Western Region) and anyone who knows the history of the war well enough knows that the Mid-West was never part of Ojukwu's short-lived Biafra. In fact, the Biafran troops massacred a lot of Mid-Westerners, including Urhobo/Isokos, when they invaded Benin (only Igbos were spared).

3. In the current resurgence for Biafra, Urhobo/Isokos have always maintained their stand. Our apex socio-cultural unions, UPU and IDU, have stated emphatically that we do not want Biafra. We are not Biafrans. We do not want to be Biafrans! This cannot be overemphasised. Apart from our apex groups, many of us have rejected the Biafran cause in the numerous Urhobo-Isoko groups on the social media.

4. Urhobo/Isokos have never been sympathetic to the Igbo cause in any way. In fact, quite the opposite, we have maintained our independence and tilted more towards the West. The average Urhobo man is more at home with a Yoruba than with an Igbo. This doesn't mean we hate Igbos but we simply have more sympathy with our Edoid/Yoruboid kins. This explains the presence of many itinerant and settler Urhobos in Yorubaland, as opposed to Igboland where Urhobo/Isokos hardly venture to. How then can we share a country with people we have no historical, political or cultural ties with? Any Urhobo/Isoko that may be sympathetic to the Biafran cause does so at the personal level and represents his own interest. The voice of Urhobo/Isoko collective interest has been made known already.

5. Urhobos WILL NOT sit at home and do nothing because IPOB asked us to or because Igbos are doing so. It will NEVER happen, today or anytime soon. Such a plea is useless and antithetical to the Biafran cause. Biafrans should aim for an Igboid country and leave Edoid/Yoruboid groups out of it. Urhobo/Isoko is Edoid. Itsekiri is Yoruboid. Even the Western Ijaws which have always been with us tilt more towards the West than anywhere else. How can you want so many dissimilar groups in your "utopia"? Won't it amount to creating another Nigeria when you "drag" uninterested groups to your cause?

I need not tell the writer, IPOB and any Igbo who cares to hear what the answer to this plea would be. The response is not farfetched. Ihwo r'Urhobo guoni Biafra a! Urhobo people are not Biafrans! We may be fed up with Nigeria but we can never leave the devil for the deep blue sea. Igbo is a majority ethnic group in Nigeria and as such contributes to the plights faced by minorities such as Urhobo/Isoko. The Igbo should not absolve itself from the "parasite" status! As far as minorities are concerned, all majority ethnic groups are a threat. Some are much more than some. In this case, Igbos have never done anything for Urhobo/Isokos to trust its motives. IPOB should stop adding us to its agenda or else it'll attract more insults to itself and the Igbo ethnicity. A word is enough for the wise!

Ihwo r'Urhobo v'Isoko, ke mavor owa mlo ota na vwa? Oshe phiyor? Biko vwa me ji tota kparemu me tare na!

Well said. I grew up in my Ijebu community with nothing to differentiate between us and numerous Urhobo, Isoko and Itshekiri families except the languages but they all spoke yoruba or Ijebu quite fairly okay. Matter of fact, i am yet to meet an Urhobo, Isoko and most people from Oshimili area of Delta state that does not speak yoruba fluently. So they usually are more at home with a yoruba or in yorubaland. During the civil war, none of these people left their abode in yorubaland. We were virtually brought up to see the Urhobo and Isoko as our kith and kin. The Itshekiri are direct children of Oduduwa anyway.
Some years back, i remembered the elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark declared publicly that in the event of Nigeria breaking up, the Ijaws would rather align with the West than any other region. Circumstances may've changed that now due to misconceptive notion of Asari Dokubo who attempts to force the biafra project on the Ijaw out of selfish interest of his mother having been Igbo, but the old man did say so.
So the Op is on point but i'm afraid, the emotional, irrashional and usually uncouched stock you admonished will not accord you the right of free speech but will rather descend on you with insults and name-calling. I would be utterly shocked if they failed to live up to their ingrained reputation.

You seem to get it wrong. I do want Biafra to be actualised. The noise is far too much. I actually want to see how Biafra will be different from Nigeria when it is created. I want to see how the typical Nigerian spirit of corruption, dishonesty, tribalism, etc, will magically disappear when Biafra is declared. I want to see the rising sun!!

My only bone of contention is that I want to see these as an observer, not as a citizen of Biafra. Biafra should be purely Igboid so as to correct the problem with Nigeria, in terms of ethnic makeup. So my problem with the Biafran project is not that I am anti-Biafra but I am pro-Igboid Biafra only! Anytime a non-Igboid group is included in Biafra, I laugh in my mind because I know such is doomed to fail.

So I hope you copy my stand now? Biafra doesn't need Urhobo, Isoko, or Itsekiri to become a nation.

First of all, a homogenous Igbo country is where I stand,
Ipob map is a delusion, I am an Asa lady from Rivers(oyigbo precisely), married to one of the south east states, I know the Ogonis and the Ijaws quite well, I grew up with them and I know majority of their opinions concerning Biafra.
But will you blame maybe an owerri guy who grew up in owerri and is thinking that all the ethnic groups in IPOB map are 100% supporting it? NO.
See my line of reasoning, Abusing Igbos because you are angry with Ipob is not the right thing to do.
Face Igbos,leave Igbos alone.
Thanks.
