Your assertion is shameful. That GEJ after about 6 years in power with all the oil money of US $140per barrel at a production rate of 2.2million barrel per day, the highest in Nigeria history, was only able to build without completing it, a very short distance railway between Abuja and Kaduna!

Even IBB that people say institutionalize corruption in Nigeria, in his days when government revenues were like nothing compare to what GEJ made, IBB still built the 3rd mainland bridge in Lagos; which cannot still be matched till date. How then shall we hail him.

You mentioned GEJ, mentioned IBB. Fair point. So what has Buhari built?

I disagree 110% with your first conclusion.

I agree 1000% with your second submission which happens to be my worst regret in life. In fact, am still working on a thread to that effect.

The core problem is one nigeria.

The country belongs to nobody.

APC is a fraud. They are totally confused people.

PDP was there for 17 years with barely nothing to show for it. You're ok with it.

APC is just 2 years in there and you're already cursing.

I'm tempted to ask if someone is cursed here?

With Presidents like GEJ , a government of "stealing is not corruption", they can easily place 20 years behind your peers.

We have been signing rail, mining , refinery , power and what not projects since the first tenure of Obasanjo, what tangible results do we have to show for all these ?
Apart from privately sponsored projects like those of Dangote, there's no assurance that the govt funded ones will be completed. Look at the River state monorail for example, it's turning out to be one of the whitest Elephant projects in this country's history

All those funds are sitting in private pockets somewhere.

Till we get electricity right. Nigeria should forget development. 80% of our development is tide to it. Modern trains are impossible without electricity.

India has it in theor constitution that every newly elected leader must add 5000 megawatts to existing power generation.

your comment is the best thing that ever come out of Nigeria ...why can't these leaders see what you see , I left Nigeria when I realized the people and the government are not serious about the electricity infrastructure ...how in the world will a country develop without electricity ,its just in impossible ...they are plenty options ( oil , gas , solar ,wind and water ) and we have the resources already , it is amazing ..it does not make sense anymore .

Oga stop fooling yourself in delusion. Google rail projects in Nigeria. It's not the first time we are having such plans which only ends in paper. The rail project you are hallucinating about is to be funded by the Chinese on lease. We are to provide 30% counterparts funding for them to do it. Nigeria does not have the money to meet up with the counterparts fund. We can only wish it happens. This administration has one year to go. Election starts next year and Nigeria will pause again. Alas, it's a circle of doom. Restructure this country and let every region build their region.[/90 quote]

At least the FG has released its counterpart funding for Lagos - Ibadan rail

These are the train stations built in Kenya, they don't have as much money as Nigeria but they know what is obtainable abroad where the leaders go often. Our own leaders should learn to build modern day facilities they see out there and stop replicating what they used to have out there, in the 80s.

This is the kind of development we want and stop singing your praises when you build outdated facilities for Nigerians.
The Future is on!

What should we do to all our past leaders. Simple electricity they can't provide

Nigeria is cursed, our leaders are evil. even the citizens are not left out in this decadence.
If you give them money to build something close to this, they will overbloat it and then embezzle the fund.
Evil people.....ẹ ní kú sí ibi to da, ayé yin máa bájẹ́ ni.

Do you ignorant dolts understand there is a $25 billion high speed national rail network CURRENTLY under construction in Nigeria? It will outclass anything Kenya is currently doing, while connecting every state in Nigeria by high speed rail. This is why you and your ilk need to study and research before commenting.
My friend keep quiet and keep your lies to yourself. I wonder why you have not been appointed to replace lie mohammed. Your lie no be here.

Any place under 500,000 in population is a town or village in my book, not a city. Kenya has only TWO cities. Nairobi, Mombasa, finish. The rest are glorified villages.

You claim Nigeria has hundreds of cities. where are they?

GEJ spent 5 years in power as the Nigerian president and raked in the kind of revenue that no other Nigerian president has ever saw. Is that an achievement to you in terms of relativity?

We have a bigger project in the pipeline
This cost kenya $3.8b and the distance is 609km.

Re: Pictures Of 3 Train Stations In Kenya by Nobody: 3:40pm On Jun 05, 2017
I give the Nigerians aka green pastures finders 3 years before they start running to kenya for better life- and prolly trying to sell drugs like they do in SA. Some are already running there. Kenya by far is leading when it comes to development in Africa. It will be the new dubai of Africa in a short time with the discovery of oil, same story with Ghana. I said sometime ago, shame on us all. These are countries that are not upto half of Nigeria in population and wealth. More than half a decade of oil exploration but nothing to show for it. Even the world class companies such as shell, total and likes are 1 million times better than what they were 50 years ago. Now that oil is gradually loosing it's value, I want to see what we'd hold on to. Any of you on this thread cheering either the past or present leaders are just mediocres... including Ojukwu the Biafra lord. This country is what it is because the leaders chose to have the right sense, chose to do things differently and in the right way. When their leaders speak, you hear intelligence and vision. Thats progressive. They don't lay blames. To all of you preaching entrepreneurship, go to kenya, go see start ups changing lives and communities. Go see businesses and how they are thriving. The world is changing faster than all of you. I only hope our generations won't be slaves to these nations.

Wise counselling.

We need restructuring, that is the only solution. That would be the end of corruption.
