Your employment status does not really matter as EEA applicant because you are not the sponsor.

Great!
Thanks alot.

Hello all,

I wanted to know if visa is granted, is it granted with a start date (validity start date) from the decision time or a date closer to when an applicant stipulates they want to travel by?

For eg, if one applies for a visit visa by July 20 and indicates they want to travel by Oct 15; if the visa is granted by Aug 20, will the 6 months start by Aug 20 or a date just before Oct 15?

Many thanks.

6 months starting from the date the decision was made i.e. Aug 20.

So I just noticed a decision has been made on my application by checking the UKVI status website. It was updated last thursday. However my TLS status has not changed yet, and I have not received any email in that regard or for collection. I'm thinking of just going to check at the VAC tomorrow or next.
Was hoping to get best advice from the top brains in the house.

No idea, though i don't think there is a specific number of days, will depend on how quickly the embassy replies you.

Good day Justwise and to all the gurus in the house, please I have an urgent question to ask;
1) Can I put my parents, nieces and nephews birth certificate as my family ties to Nigeria? I don't have kids of my own yet and my husband is travelling with me.

2) Do I put my net or gross income as take home pay?

3) Should the budget for my trip be an estimate or actual money to be spent?

4) How much do you advise I put as the budget for a 3week holiday including flight ticket( I really don't want to over spend), free accommodation.

5) Since my husband gives me allowance every month, should I call it another income?

6) Can I submit my bank statement without pay slips or should I include my personal income tax card.

7) Do I use a pen to highlight all the salary inflow into my account and the allowance from my husband?

NOTE; no money lodgement, the money in my account is from my salary and the allowance my husband sends to me at the end of each month,

Please advise me on these questions and any other advice you have for me will be highly appreciated.

[quote author=ekpotek post=57673115].

In that case you will need to work on your home ties to convince the ECO that you will return after your visit. More importantly, include a cover letter to address all the issued raise in your refusal letter. [/quote

Its just my job and siblings Ive got. I'd give it some time before applying again.
thanks for your honest response

@berildan....i will advise you still hold on a little bit since d decision just updated last Thursday which has not reach 10 working days for home office to send ur passport to VAC..... But if otherwise after 10 working days and u did not receive any mail from TLS/VAC then u can visit water Carrington not VAC

@Astonestone.... Make sure u impute ur GWF number correctly but make sure ur application has already past normal expected processing number of working days but if not it will keep telling u not recognize.

Hello everyone, I would like to ask some questions about visiting visa for parents.I am currently on a work permit in the UK. I was to apply for my parents together but they can't come to the UK together as mum is a teacher and dad retired few months ago ( more than 6 months). 1.After getting the visa together, can they come separately?
2. I will include my payslip and bank statement; must the bank statement be printed after 28days.
3. I would like my mum to have N500-600k in her account. Must the bank statement be printed after 28 days or any day after the money is there
4. Mum's monthly salary is like N100k after tax. I want to also attach her payslip and letter from her employer granting her the leave ( like 3-4months payslip)
5. Mum also has a property and would like to add the C of O too.
6. For dad, he hasn't got any pensions yet but he has a property. Will his own C of O and any pension documents and past work documents be enough for him
7. I would add a cover letter from me
Please what other documents will i need and answers to the questions. Thanks

Hello Justwise, my Mum's younger sister (half sister) is a UK citizen and she resides there, she wants to invite Mum to UK for her birthday in August. 1. Please what documents does she need to send alongside the invitation letter? 2. Can I get the links to the steps to follow in going about the application as I have not applied before, I mean is it just the online application and booking for biometric capture? I need your advise as I am the one to do the application on her behalf. Thanks.

Good day everyone. Please i applied for UK visa priority service and it's 8 working days since i applied. The normal window for priority is usually 5 working days and I'm yet to hear anything. The last update was that my app has been received by the Sheffield office and that was the following day after biometrics. Please what do you advise as I'm due to travel on Friday.

I got my passport today. After waiting endlessly. I did biometrics on 5th april and didnt get any email since then until yesterday tls sent me 2 emails concurrently. D first says decision has bn taken and second mail says passport ready for collection. I got my passport today and visa vignette dated 28th april. So meaning there could hv been mis communication btw d ukvi sheffield and tls. Altho I asked for d status of my application when I didnt get any email and it was escalated. I ws scared cos my travel date has passed after waiting for so long. But today its all good. it took 45 working days to gt my passport back. My advise, if ur visit visa application takes more than 15days, send emails to ukvi customer service and follow up until its been escalated. Im off to Uk. grin cool grin

Please paste the email address here

I am also in same situation. Did biometrics April 5th. I sent an email to ukvi and they replied that a decision has been made. They also sent me an email to provide some details for escalation for passport return. Since then, no updates on the escalation. U can send an email to ukvi international enquiries and ask for status of your Visa application.

Please what's the email address?

Justwise please I'm trying to apply for visas for my kids. Would I need to send documents for each kids application? I mean documents like my bank statements etc. I already have a visa as does my wife. We intend to travel together as a family for the summer holidays. Are the kids applications to be sent separately? Do I fill individual forms for each of them?

You will come complete the online application for each kid. Submit as a group application with same documents for both kid. Most importantly include copies of you and your wife passports informations pages and visa pages in the application
