almost all the commenters here are brain dead. Anambra has one of the largest market in West Africa, one of the few states that pays salaries as at when due, pays pensioners their gratuity, increased the state allawee for Corpers and the only state in the whole federation that didn't collect bailout funds. and yet you brain dead people are still doubting the governor's claims? because they didn't reveal their IGR?? you think it's cowries that they transact with there? you guys are mumu of the highest order. 2 Likes |

allrightsir: Keep deceiving yourself thinking Rivers has remained at 80+B in IGR since 2014 while Ogun and other states keep changing figures. Mind you the figures of Rivers are not given every year. All you see are repeated estimates year in year out which is not from Rivers State Government. In the budget for 2017 revenue to be gotten from IGR was 115B. Not the fake figures they keep repeating for Rivers year in year out. 1 Like |

https://www.nairaland.com/3819308/anambra-4th-largest-state-gdp In 2014, Anambra’s GDP was estimated at $13.5 billion. This accounts for three per cent of Nigeria’s GDP and would rank 122 in the world or 24th in Africa if the state were to be a country. With only N3.993 billion debt, the state has the lowest domestic and foreign debt profile among the 36 states. The state’s economy is unarguably the fourth largest among states, after Lagos, Abuja and Rivers. Anambra State also has the fourth largest bank deposit, after Lagos, Abuja and Rivers, but ironically has one of the lowest access to bank credit. With five universities, two polytechnics and two colleges of education, adult literacy in the state is over 80 per cent. The state has the lowest poverty incidence and has the unique feature of being a net exporter of capital 3 Likes |

IGR doesn't determine how large state economy is, Anambra cut taxes to encourage indigenous investors Ogun doesn't because 95% of industries are owned by non Yorubas, Anambra is indigenous driven economy 99% control by indigenes, Anambra host highest numbers of markets in Nigeria and most indigenous industrialized state in Nigeria 1 Like

allrightsir:Ogun is below Kano and Aba talk more of Anambra with their fabricated IGR figure Ogun was bailed out twice by FG In 2015, the Federal Government intervened, with a bailout 7 package of NGN 338 billion to 27 states (including Edo, Ogun and Niger), to ensure employee salary obligations were met. In 2016, another bailout fund of NGN 90 billion was created but this time with stringent conditions intended to enforce fiscal responsibility within the states. Most states continue to look to ad hoc disbursements from the Federal Government to ease their fiscal challenges. As part of efforts to improve resilience in the states, DFID is working with Edo, Ogun and Niger States, providing technical assistance for tax harmonisation aimed at improving collection processes and transparenc

Nearly all your villages collected salary bailouts. Obviously, your no projects guguru and ekpa budget villages. Ipob fact less and baseless rubbish bore me always. 1 Like |
