What I mean is I've never willingly updated my bios before.

Ur bios is not the issue.

I've modified my comment after reading what you responded to someone else.

If u didn't format your system when u upgraded to windows 10, there should be a folder in C: which contains drivers. Just install everything u see there. I've had to run two setups for one device. E.g. Devices with dual graphics.

I've invested quite a bit in your issue so i'll give ya one piece of advice.

U want the fingerprint because typing passwords is a pain.

Since ur using Win10, u can set up 4 digit pin to login. It's pretty fast. It's what i use even though my fingerprint is working.

There are three things to try.

Method 1
Copy the content of the Windows 10 disk/iso to C:

Just paste it in drive C. Reboot and it should take u straight to the installer.

The disadvantages of this method:
1. You won't be able to format the drive.
2. You won't have access to your files once u finished install. So, you'll need to copy them out to your external drive
3. Do not use this method if u have virus on your laptop, cos it'll just infect the installation files.

Method 2
Remove your hard drive format and plug it to another laptop as an external drive. Get a connector if u don't have it.

Copy the win 10 installation files to the drive.

Connect it back to your system and boot

Method 3
Just burn the Windows 10 ISO files to a DVD and boot. If u don't have a DVD rom, find someone who has an external rom.

Search the bios driver for your elitebook on google. Once search result appears, follow the link to hp site and indicate your OS. You'd see list of drivers designed for your system. Go to bios and see if there's any for your specification.
Warning: Do not download bios driver from untrusted website as thus could render your system unusable or bricked and while installing the downloaded driver, ensure your AC adapter is plugged to wall socket. The display may flicker in the process but do not shut down your system until the update is completed.

Along the line, last year I upgraded the OS to Windows 10 from the Windows 7 that came with system.
Presently, the issue is that the battery does not last up to 1hr 30mins and the system goes off at 80% of battery remaining and it takes 1hr 30mins to charge up to 100%.
Also, the booting time which is the main problem now, is 1hr 30mins before I can put password to enter/access the system.

Try going back to windows 7 or install the latest version of Windows 10.

If this doesn't work, then your laptop might have multiple issues and you'll want a repairer to take a look at it. Also ask for others opinion here - software is my field afterall.

Just post any problems you are having with your pc here. The more software related, the better.

If you're having virus, worms or any other malware problems. Try scanning your PC with RoboSAM first.

Before you can get the sleep option, you need to check maybe ur vga is drive, if not you will need to download the vga driver then if you can't do it contact me on 08139462401.

Explain in a little detail " i cant browse"

1. Did you achieve your connection with your laptop or not? i.e. is it only that a "no internet connection" appeared on the the task bar
2. Was the Android itself able to connect succesfully?
