NO SUPPLIES NO LOGISTICS AS BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS STRIVE TO SURVIVE.

The recent strategy adopted by the untiring and dogged troops of Operation Lafiya Dole in conducting robust and aggressive fighting patrols coupled with simultaneous clearance operations within the North East has been highly effective. These actions were aimed to complement the efforts of Operation Yancin Tafki by the Multi National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) currently ongoing along the borders of the lake chad region.

Recently, it has been observed that the few elements of the Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs) earlier bombarded and chased out of their enclaves were left with depleted number of fighters and supplies. They are presently feeling the colossal storm of the joint operations and are now looking for ways to sneak into town for food supplies, logistics and most importantly weapons.

In their desperate and fruitless efforts, they resolved in springing surprise attacks on soft targets, smaller units, including civilian settlement with market advantage within the Theatre. It is in this regard, troops of 254 Task Force Battalion at Forward Operation Base (FOB) Kimba while on clearance operation along Sabon Gari in 25 Task Force Brigade Area of Operations - Damboa, came in contact with the terrorists on 27 April, 2019.

During the encounter, troops were reinforced and gave the terrorists a lethal fight with only minor casualty on own troops and few damaged equipment. Dozens of the BHTs were decimated and several others escaped with severe gunshot wounds. Normalcy has since returned to the general area while troops dominated all likely escape routes of the terrorists.

We therefore call on the general public to disregard the unsubstantiated story circulating in some media outfits and other social media platforms with fake casualty report of own troops and equipment on the encounter with BHTs along Kimba - Sabon Gari - Damboa axis on 27April 2019.
The fake report trending is the handiwork of sympathizers of the BHTs. We also call on the general public to support the fight against insurgency and terrorism by providing credible and timely information to security agencies for swift action.

Tells you a lot about their mindset in NA...
I wonder what the overall cost of this war had been for the past 10 years, both economical and in terms of actual number of soldiers that have paid the ultimate price.

You dey mind those f*ckers. They are so used to big numbers that the death of ten soldiers would be considered minor.

In fact, whenever NA says troops were reinforced after an attack just know that something terrible must have happened.

They might have well found there ways from Syria; probably the ones captured by "Daesh" from Syrian military ? What do you think , because China sold large quantities to them !

1. End user countries
2. Original manufacturing country

Any one of them ,

Coincidentally Norinco etc has this weird logic of supplying arms to unstable states directly or indirectly / non state actors directly or indirectly with the express hope that someday the same arms will hopefully hurt western interests. Ironically sometimes it is known that the western parties actually facilitate such transactions for whatever reasons, which again is a nice example of " digging one's own grave " or rather digging the graves of innocent bystanders.

Long story short , nobody knows or will ever know except for the few involved

CAPACITY BUILDING: NAF PERSONNEL ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN REACTIVATION OF EC-135 HELICOPTER AT PORT HARCOURT

The ongoing reactivation of the third EC-135 Helicopter, NAF 549, handed over to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), is progressing steadily as NAF engineers and technicians, assisted by members of the foreign technical assistance team, have successfully assembled the Main Gear Box (MGB) and commenced installation on the aircraft. Completion of the work would bring to 15 the number of previously unserviceable aircraft that have been reactivated by the current Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, in the last 4 years. Most of these reactivations as well as the ongoing Periodic Depot Maintenance (PDM) on various aircraft types, including 2 C-130H, 3 Alpha Jet and 3 L-39ZA aircraft, are being done in-country in order to build the capacity of NAF personnel to enable them eventually carry out such high level maintenance activities, independently and effectively, in the future.

I love my country Nigeria. Thing is, we have no “standards” though, which is a good and bad thing all at once. If, for instance, US or Britain want to showcase their SF to the world, they would select the very best men in the relevant outfit. They would worry about presentation, taking into account even small things like evenness and weight of the men in order to ensure pleasing symmetry and imbue in viewers psychological impression of polish which viewer interprets as the height of expertise. The negative side of doing things this way is that it limits opportunity for some. In Nigeria, save for tribalism and nepotism, all have a chance, Tall or short, fat or slim, fast or slow. And thus, for something like that in the video above, we end up appearing somewhat more amateurish than we actually are. Perhaps it explains why, to our eventual advantage, we are often underestimated as a people.

PRESS RELEASE

AFEME GRADUATES 15 TECHNICIANS

The effort of the Defence Headquarters to equip the Armed Forces of Nigeria with requisite manpower and skill to promote efficiency has received a boost with the graduation of 15 engineering students, drawn from the 3 Services.

The graduating technical students who were trained at the Armed Forces Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (AFEME) Mechatronics School, Abuja, comprised 7 soldiers from the Nigerian Army, 4 Ratings from the Nigerian Navy and 4 Airmen from the Nigerian Air Force.

AFEME Mechatronics School was established in May 2015 by the Defence Headquarters in partnership with German Technical Advisory Group (G-TAG) to meet automobile mechanical and electrical needs of the Nigerian military. The establishment of the Mechatronic school was therefore a response to the challenges of modern day engineering practice by the technical personnel of the Nigerian Military. The 15 graduands had undergone rigorous training for a period of 2 years, which commenced from May 2017 to May 2019.

In his remark during the graduation ceremony, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin, noted that the objective of AMS is to provide for the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN), technicians that would be capable of tackling the complex challenges of maintaining automobiles that are currently in the inventory of the AFN and those that would be acquired in future.

Represented by the Chief of Defence Logistics, Major General Ibrahim Attahiru, the Chief of Defence Staff assured that the Defence Headquarters would continue to partner and support the School, especially towards facilitating all projects. He expressed profound gratitude to the German government and G-TAG for their support to the AFN and their assistance in the actualization of several laudable projects of international standard.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Commanding Officer of the School, Lieutenant Colonel Ebiowei Odede, adjudged the performance of the graduating students to be satisfactory, adding that Mechatronics is multidisciplinary and has added value to the technical competence of the graduands. He pointed out, that their training would be of great benefit to the services.

Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of certificates and the German Proficiency Medals to the graduating students.

Present at the occasion were the German Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr Bernhard Schlagheck and the representatives of the Service Chiefs. Officials from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASEI) also graced the occasion.

Please disseminate this information to the general public through your reputable medium.
Thank you for your kind cooperation.

Very good documentary.
It chronicles where the NAF started from in 2013
No SF
No SOC
No QRW
No QRF.
To 2019
2 NAF commands
SOC infrastructure
The NAF is getting there in the months to come
they will be put in harm's way but they will succeed by the grace of Almighty God.

Nigerian Army did not neglect 13NA/70/3343 Lance Corporal Ochefu Emmanuel

The attention of the Nigerian Army is drawn to a video clip produced and disseminated by "Help This Life In Need Foundation", a Non-governmental organisation in which a soldier of the Nigerian Army, 13NA/70/3343 Lance Corporal Ochefu Emmanuel was appealing for help to fund his medical evacuation for kidney transplant. Although it is not in our character to expose Service personnel in public especially when they have medical challenges, it is imperative to put matters in proper perspective.

The Nigerian Army is a very caring service that has the welfare of its officers, soldiers and members of their families as top most priority. Therefore, it is unimaginable to allege that a soldier having medical problems would be abandoned by the Army as the video clip wants to portray.

It is not true that there was a medical board for financial help. The Nigerian Army has clearly established medical care and evacuation procedure which is being adhered to.

For the benefit of doubt, the soldier in question was treated in 2018 at 3 different Nigerian Army medical facilities. It was confirmed that he had chronic kidney disease with renal failure. Both of his kidneys had failed and he became dependent on dialysis.
Consequently, he had 20 sessions of dialysis at N50,000 per session paid for by the Nigerian Army.

Our medical experts have also confirmed that his definitive treatment is renal transplant. This was made known to him and properly counselled for, while arrangements for the transplant are being made. However, his situation is further compounded because of lack of donor. Nonetheless, efforts are on going for his evacuation and treatment.

Although he has also been diagnosed with retroviral situation, with a high chance of rejection if the transplant is done, we are unrelenting in ensuring that he is properly treated as machineries for a transplant have been put in motion, while search for donor is also ongoing.
We would like to thank all those well meaning Nigerians that showed concern about the plight of the soldier.

However, we would also like to the warn the Non-governmental organisation that facilittated the recording and dissemination of the video clip to desist from spreading falsehood without contacting the Nigerins Army authorities. The NGO may be attempting to defraud the public.

We therefore wish to warn the Non-governmental organization to desist from taking undue advantage of medical conditions of service personnel such as Ochefu Emmanuel to make money or defraud unsuspecting members of the public.

I watched this documentary I couldn't help but laugh at what the Nigeria Air force was calling special forces. How do women make it into special forces? Countries like Russia, USA, Israel, France, Germany, Poland, Norway to mention a few have a well trained special forces outfit and we know that the failure rate is very high. Hundreds of serving military personnel enter the program but only few graduate. The chief of Air staff should tell us he trained regiment personnel in base defense and other duties. No doubt the tactics taught to them is better than any other training available in the airforce but it is not enough to call them SPECIAL FORCES. How do you train over 2000 special forces soldiers in just 2 years? Unless they're not tier one operators, that feat can't be achieved. In what world do soldiers enter for such training and most of them graduated? Only in Nigeria. Special forces personnel that upload pictures of themselves on Instagram constantly, no secrecy whatsoever? The airforce chief has tried but he should stop over hyping his achievements.
