LagosSuperStar:Can God trust you with money? Do you know that money will not only expose your weaknesses it will also expose you to new levels and new devil's? If you know why God has not financially blessed you, you will thank Him. My counsel is that you focus on God and be born again. Then you will know how to submit to God's leading as He leads you through life- transforming, equipping and testing your heart for the blessings he has in store for those who are faithful. I leave you to meditate on these words. (Note unrighteous mammon refers to money. Beyond money, there are true riches. Selah) Luke.16.10 - He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. Luke.16.11 - Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? Luke.16.12 - And if you have not been faithful in what is another man's, who will give you what is your own? Luke.16.13 - "No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." |

TOBILOBA2023: There is really no generic answer for questions like this; It is a matter of understanding who you're dealing with. If you're self employed, you have to adapt to the requirements of your customer to the best of your capacity. If you're employed, you have to work within the specified provisions/requirements of your organisation. Customer/Client, Employee/Staff and Employer/Management satisfactions/expectation need to be met. |

Jackanda1: Dreams are multifaceted. It has a lot of meanings depending on who receives it. 1. The laptop represents you. The hard-disk represents your spirit. The crashing of the hard disk represents death- spiritual death. Life outside Christ is spiritual death. Jesus Christ told His disciples who wanted to go back to their families- Let the dead bury the dead. Seeing your laptop come back alive is good news. You simply need to make the right decision. 2. Your uncle is a pastor and you used to help/serve him. He represents God in the dream. Your spirit will come alive in God's presence as you begin to serve God. Do not delay, I pray for you that whatever took you away from God's presence has failed in Jesus name. Amen. |

Kobojunkie: Your liberty is in 2 Corinthians 3.14-18 "But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord." All your questions will be answered the day you honour and receive Him. Grace and Peace be with you. 1 Like |
Religion / 3 False Teachings In Today's Churches by pressplay411(m): 2:25pm On May 14, 2023 |
Three False Teachings In Today's Churches -Pastor Segun Keku Song Ministration: Open The Flood Gates in Abundance Date: Sunday 14th May,2023 Happy Mother's Day Some Christians choose what they want to believe in the bible. Some add their own. They want to change the bible to fit their lifestyle instead of vice versa. 1Tim.4.1-2 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron. The only way to test spirits is to test their teachings with the Word of God. Meaning you yourself have to study the Word. The 3 False Teachings 1. Is it true that it is God's will that every Christian should be Healthy and Wealthy? Yes, God promised us Peace on earth, even when we are in pain and tribulations. But God doesn't promise us to be rich and healthy at all times. God does not promise us a perfect life on earth. That is in heaven. You and I will have trials and tribulations in this world. John 16:33, 2 Cor 4:16-18 Concerning Health Many people are being misled by these false teachings. It is not all the time that sickness or poverty that is as a result of lack of faith. God is not a Jini. Every problem doesn't just vanish because you're a Christian. Luke.22.42 - saying, "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done." Emphasis on "Nevertheless, not my will but your be done." We can go to God for miracles and healing and blessings but it does not mean God must say Yes all the time. Is it compulsory that God should say yes? Some times he will say Yes. Some times he will say No. His No and Silence is for a reason. When these false teachers say it is compulsory, tell them according to God's will. It is not him that runs or wills but God who shows mercy. Keep on being renewed in the mind. Abraham and Sarah prayed yet they had delay in child birth. Job lost everything, was it that he did not have Faith? Job.42.5 - "I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You. Job was so righteous from hearing of God, He had not seen God. But God was able to boast of him. Things got so bad that his wife shamed him and asked him to curse God. But Job replied "I know my Redeemer Lives." Job's problems started from chapter 2 till chaper 42 which could have lasted for years. Was it because he was not righteous or because he did not have Faith? Before Job's trial he only heard of God, after the trials he began to see God. He then had a deeper knowledge of God and a higher Faith. Some things will happen so that you will begin to see God. God will be able to stand by you and single you out. God permits some things to happen for a reason. Pastor recounts his many challenges. He prayed many prayers without answers. He realised that those situations have helped mould him into shape. To make him know how Great God is. 2 Cor 12:7-10 I will boast in my infirmities. Aposple Paul prayed to God to take away the thorn in his flesh. But God did not take it away. 2Cor.12.9 - And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. The Three Hebrew brothers were thrown into fire. Their strength was made perfect in the fire. Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the LORD delivers him from all. When you believe in wrong doctrines, how will miracles happen? Because the foundation of the faith is faulty. The reason we have so much evil in the world today is because of false teachings. People no longer believe the Grace of God is sufficient for them. If you believe, you will stay. Job stayed and said "though he slay me, yet I will trust Him." May we not experience Job's kind of problems but everyone will face his problems. Concerning Wealth Are you content with what God allows/permits in your life? When Pastor sees a situation he doesn't jump or get anxious, he follows God's direction with prayers. Everything then follows. When the Israelites were faced with the Red Sea, Moses prayed and God told him it is time to Move Forward. There's time to Pray and there's time to Move Forward. It is true that God has promised us Wealth and Good Health. But at what expense? Is it automatic? It wasn't until Job experienced his problems that he realised that he had been hearing of God but now he sees God. Are you greedy or content with what you have? Be very careful with what you pray for, God knows the intention of your heart. 1 Tim 6:6-11 Be content because love of money has destroyed many. Focus on God. Focus on eternity. There is nothing wrong in being rich and healthy. But God is also interested in how you spend your money and health. Ask yourself, how is God benefiting from your health and wealth presently? Have you asked God, what can I do for you, Lord? Have you asked the Pastor, what can you do for the church? What's the essence of your living? Who is benefiting from your living? 2. Churches Create Extra Rules. Eg -All Christians must speak in Tongues to be saved. -Every one must be Baptised to be saved. We are only saved through the Grace of God. Not by works, tongues or baptism. Eph 2:8-10, Luke 22:39-43, Acts 2:3, 1 Cor 12:4-11, 1 Cor 14. Rom 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Rom.10.17 - So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Baptism and Speaking in tongues are compulsory but should not be forced on anyone. Salvation comes by Grace. Brethren, we should not add or remove anything from the bible. It's only the truth of the bible that can change us. Our thoughts/senses are imperfect but the bible is perfect. 3. Hyper Grace and Law So many churches preach this without balancing it. They leave out God being Holy and Righteous and that He hates sin. They teach "I can be a Christian and continue to live however I like." They teach "God already loves me so I can continue in sin." If you live or believe this, you are not yet a Christian. You have not had encounter with Christ. Rom.6.15-16 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? You are only free from sin if you obey God in righteousness. There are many who believe they are saved but are not saved. To justify sin they falsify the true preaching of God. Only the truth can change lives. If anyone comes to give their life to Christ, it is because the Holy spirit has ministered to them, not man. Some churches are just adding members, and not winning souls. When someone through the preaching surrenders their life to Christ, that one will be saved. When you add a member who is a drinker or fornicator who has not given their life to Christ, and you don't minister to them by the Holy spirit, are they saved? In conclusion, for salvation His Grace is sufficient for you. It is good to Speak in Tongues and be Baptised, but that's not guarantee of salvation. How many people have been baptised but still fornicate and drink or still under the oppression of powers and witchcraft? It is only when the Gospel is preached in a truthful way and balanced, that is when souls will be touched to give their lives to Christ. Not by sensual or motivational teachings like 7 keys to success, etc. This only makes one feel good but doesn't last. It cannot give life. Because it is not a message of salvation. Jesus loves you. Know the Truth and He will set you free. |

Persephone1: This is a more balanced submission. We often fall into error when we try to fit everyone into the same box. God created us differently intentionally. What would work for A may work for B but not work for C. A, B !and C are perfect the way they are created. Everyone simply needs to grow into maturation. Men are naturally created and wired to perform certain tasks more easily than women. Women are also naturally created snd wired to perform certain tasks more effortlessly than men. Do these some times overlap, certainly and for a good reason. When we come to this understanding, we won't set expectations myopically. We will observe people's natural strengths and weaknesses and deal with them on that level. Some ladies are more tech savvy and even mechanical than some guys. Some guys are more delicate than some ladies. But my favorite category, are balanced. They can both handle tech savvy, mechanically, delicate and more. Know this will help us deal with each accordingly and get along just well. PS: You seem to be a budding women right's activist. Am I right? There's a fine line and a good difference between that and feminism. 1 Like 1 Share |

zoedew: I have so much to share with the broken igbo. It is not any tribe or nation that is fighting the igbos. It is God himself. It is a sad and fearful thing when God, our loving father fights some one, talk less of a nation/tribe/people. The earlier igbos reaalise this, the earlier their salvation, deliverance and restoration. It's painful to watch a great people suffer. It's a similitude of watching Israel as a nation suffer. May God Almighty have mercy and deliver us all. Because the word of God is true and faithful- God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Every individual and every nation has some element of pride and we are all meant to grow in humility. But until one comes to this knowledge, they are blinded to the fact. May God unveil us and deliver us all in Jesus name. Amen |

Kobojunkie: I thought I replied this yesterday. Guess I didn't send. To answer you question concerning the Spirit in Old testament and new testament. In the old testament the Holy Spirit could only rest on man because Jesus was not yet glorified. After the Crucifixion, death, Burial and Ressurection of Jesus Christ, the perfect Atonement for sin was made. Now the Holyspirit can indwell man. Rom.3.23-26 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Eph.1.13 - In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, Who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. |

Religion / Re: Pray Always, Never Lose Hope In Prayer by pressplay411(m): 4:44am On May 09, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: You've spoken well. However, you have spoken as if a Pharisee. By this your standard, God will only answer the prayer of Jesus Christ alone and no other human being. But for the benefit of those who will read this and whose motive is truly right, let me explain. 1. No flesh can meet God's standard of righteousness which is why you're half right. However half truth can also be a lie. This is why a believer has the gift of the Holyspirit. Rom.8.26 - Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 2. There are two levels of righteousness. - Imputed righteousness which is what every believer has simply by believing God. From the moment you repent and accept Jesus Christ as your LORD and Savior, you have become righteous before God. In fact this is how the bible describes us in 2Cor.5.21 - For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. -Righteousness by Sanctification This comes as we walk with God in Obedience to the leading of the Holyspirit and the Word of God. This second level is where you may have been referring to. And yes, it is necessary for every believer to grow from imputed righteousness to living righteously as we come to know Christ, as we come to know the likes and dislikes, loves and hates of God. As we come to know who we are in Christ. (Hebrew 6:1-6) When a true believer reaches this level, that is where Jesus said, up till now we have not asked him in his name. John.16.24 - Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. In conclusion, the best prayers for a believer are speaking in tongues and the Lord's prayer, and as led. Eph.6.18 - praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. The Walk of a Christian is a growth process- from Believer to Disciple to Christian. God help us all in this Walk in Jesus name. Amen |

Nairaland / General / Power Of Influence In The Life Of A Christian by pressplay411(m): 6:06am On May 05, 2023 |
Today's Message: Power Of Influence In The Life Of A Christian By Pastor Segun Keku In other words- How to know if someone is sent from God or from the devil. The people around you that you spend time with will either influence you positively or negatively. We get better by godly influence. And worse by bad influences. When you give your life to Christ, it is expected that your circle of friends should change. 1Cor.11.1 - Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ. Choose your friends by their values. Is it godly or worldly? Some people are sent into your life by the Holy Spirit to help you live righteously. These are Friends that will tell you the consequences of going into sin. They encourage you to pray and fast. The encourage you in spiritual exercise. Not friends that will tell you about football or betting, or bad habits etc. The world has Influencers. The Holy spirit is the influencer of the Believer. And He will use people to influence you. Such Good Friends are not many. Friends sent by the devil will encourage you to do evil and discourage you when you want to do the right thing. They are the ones that will tell you the latest joints, clubs, etc. If you dont wake up, the damage they would have caused would be irreparable. They will make you worse than you were. They are friends that spend their time gossiping. There are some people you don't have business with even in your family. If someone encourages you to lie, drink, smoke, consult oracles for power, do divination, consult astrology, commit fornication/adultery, etc, avoid them. Beware of Spiritual manipulation. It is important to have the Spirit of the LORD. The Holyspirit will cancel their evil manipulations easily. Beware of fast trackers. What you get too quick will also go quickly. We are at the end times. Evil, death, terrible things will be on the increase. Teenagers will be rebellious. But our teenagers will not be among them in Jesus name. Do not open your self to attack. The moment you go to see a seer and he has spoken, you have opened the door of your life to them for manipulations. This morning whoever the devil may have sent to your life, the LORD will drive them out in Jesus name. Amen. 1Kgs.21.25 - But there was no one like Ahab who sold himself to do wickedness in the sight of the LORD, because Jezebel his wife stirred him up. Jezebel was sent by the devil to Ahab. Likewise Job's wife. It is possible that a wife/husband is sent by the devil into the life of a husband. When devil sends someone on a mission, they are targeting your neck, how to destroy you. Ahab listened to Jezebel and was destroyed. Job did not listen to his wife and he lived. Be sensitive who you listen to. Do you only listen to the rich? Do you listen to prophets? 1 Kjngs 13:11-25 Even though the young prophet was strong not to listen to the King but he listened to the old prophet against God's instruction and he died. Are you sure God sent that person or the devil? Any thing your pastor tells you, if it is not in the bible, don't do it. Pastors will be judged. Everyone will be judged. But do not let them destroy your life. When you listen to bad influences over good influences you will lose God's Presence. There are things can you do that will drive the Holy Spirit away from you. Who is the person the devil has sent into your life? Do not believe the lies that "I can hang around people and not be influenced by them." Or "I can't fall for their Pressure." It is not possible. There is no spiritual Superman. There's no relationship between Light and Darkness. No matter how righteous you are, if you find yourself alone with a woman, flee!!! The demon inside them is greater than them. How can a pastor still have a prophet outside his organisation? There should be no middle man between You and God. God wants to speak and deal with you directly. Avoid pessimistic people who always have something negative to say, without faith. 1Thess.5.14 - Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. It is greed when you want to amass what God did not give you. Be okay with what God gives you. Why do we forget easily? Remember how God has helped you. Do you Trust God to still help you? "I urge you. In every situation, Wait on the LORD." Anyone that brings you down or makes you lose hope is from the devil. Avoid them. Be careful what people say to you before you believe. A good prophet/pastor has the Word of Hope. Like Moses, when there was no way forward for the Israelites, he heard from God, "Move Forward." Job.14.7 - "For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender shoots will not cease. Be sensitive of those who bring division in a gathering. Check the Fruit they bear. Matt.7.15-18 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. It takes some body that is walking and producing the Fruit of the Spirit to walk and produce the Fruit of the Spirit. Look out for Character and Virtue. Don't relate with people based on tribe or riches, status. You can only be my Friend if you know Chriist and you Fear God. Not by how much money you have. I prefer to be poor and know God. Yet, to have money and still have the fear of God is better. May the LORD separate you from every demonic and satanic influence in Jesus name. Holy Spirit will block them in Jesus name. Amen. |
Religion / Walking In The Path Of The Cross by pressplay411(m): 4:59am On May 05, 2023 |
The topic before us is- Walking in the Path of the Cross. I am way too inadequate to teach on this. But I thank the ministers who have been praying. And I know we serve a God that answers prayers. I will like to remind us what this is all about. Our theme remains: Understanding Glory and Virtue What correlation exists between Walking in the Path of the Cross and Understanding Glory and Virtue? Since the first day we decided to Understand Glory and Virtue, some thing happened. WE TOUCHED GOD'S HEART. And he has answered us. Just as he answered Daniel. Just as he answered Solomon. And He has by His Precious Holy Spirit led us on this journey of Understanding Glory and Virtue. This is why I had to specially recognise and honor the Ministers who have been mightily used for this herculean task. Yet by the Holy Spirit, it has seemed effortless. Simply because they yielded. Yielding to the Holy Spirit is simply what it's all about. Walking in the Path of the Cross is a test of our Yieldedness. A test of our Faith. A test of our Trust. A test we MUST pass. The question becomes. What does it mean to be yielded? What does it mean to yield? Yield 1. To give way; to allow another to pass first. 2. To give as required; to surrender, relinquish or capitulate. 3. To give way; to succumb to a force. 4. To produce as return, as from an investment. 5. To produce as a result. Our will is all we have to yield. I repeat, Our will is all we have to yield I asked a question the previous time. Is it not curious that Our LORD and Saviour has finished the works, finished the promise, He has corrected the error of the First Adam, He has done all the hard work, He has fulfilled His ministry, been crucified, died, been buried and ressurected, He has conquered Satan and all his wisdom, He has restored all the Authority in Heaven and Earth. He has begged the Father to give us the Holy Spirit, He has given us the Apostles and the Ministry Gifts, He has Given us the Bible through Missionaries, He has endured such long suffering and patience, Yet, only very few in the annals of the kingdom have seen the manifest presence of this restored glory? We should ask ourselves questions. We should burn with Holy Anger. We should not want another day go by with us living short of the glory of God. We should ask what is responsible. God loves it when we ask Him questions. He wants us to reason with Him. Which Father is not happy to see his son curious about everything he has put in place for him? Which Teacher is not happy to meet students who desire to be the best at their studies? Which Boss is not Happy to see staff who align with the goals and objectives of the organisation? God is not the problem. He has done all that needs to be done. What then is the problem? The enemy has done this. And unfortunately, we partnered with him. Albeit, ignorantly. Satan is the enemy. We must never forget this. Satan hates you and I unconditionally. Satan is the father of lies. We must never forget this. We must always remember this. Satan will mislead us and then deny us. Push all the blame on us. Why? Because his weapon is simple. His weapon is our lusts. Lust of the eyes. Lust of the flesh. Pride of life. As long as we have these 3. We cannot walk into the Glory The journey in the Path of the Cross is to exfoliate this lusts. This evil passions. This vain desires. The irony is some of us are already offended about the idea of losing our lusts and desires. Who has bewitched us? I was a heavy drinker. Sexually perverse. Coarsely vulgar. Proud of my uniqueness. I wanted to be the best musician/rapper in the world. I admired so much the glory of the world. This made me selfish. Made me easily envious Made me greedy. Made me want to sleep with the hottest girl in the room. Just for the fun of it. It was so bad that even married women would want to sleep with me cos in the Spirit realm, I belonged to Satan. So we attracted one another. Just the same way Christians born of the Spirit attract one another. We need to know that our lusts are destructive. Until we know this, we will hold on to them with our dear lives. Yet this is what is keeping us from the Truth. From Eternal Life. From Glory. All we need is Humility. We need to let God teach us humility as we yield to His leading. Following Christ is why we are saved. The early disciples had Jesus Christ. We have the Holy Spirit. We must train ourselves to learn how to know the leading of the Holy Spirit. Following the Leading of the Holy Spirit is how we Follow Christ. The Glorified Christ is the Person of the Holy Spirit. How do we train ourselves to know the leading of the Holy Spirit? Through adequate Discipleship. We need to know who the Holy Spirit leads us to. Which Local assembly (church) should we worship in. If there's a foundation class there- we need to humble ourselves to learn afresh as if we are hearing of Christ for the first time. We need to know what this decision will cost us. Because we will lose friends. We will be antagonised by many. We will face persecutions. We will change our ways. All this is not going to be by our own efforts. We simply have to obey His leadings. We simply have to be humble and obedient, trusting God with our wholeheart. When we Trust God. That is the first level of Faith. When God can Trust us, that is the true height of Faith. The Walk in the Cross is how God will test our Faith to know if it is genuine or conditional, or pretense, or selfish, or materialistic, etc. I conclude with this. 1. Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior did not keep us in the dark about this. The template is there in Matthew 5. The Beatitudes. 2. The end result is likewise there. In Galatians 5. The Fruit of the Spirit. And Gifts as we grow. We have to allow ourselves to grow. And this is where Patience is. James.1.2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. May we truly come to be Perfect and Complete in Christ. Thank you all and God help us in this walk. |
