SmartPolician:This is why I hardly meddle in 9ja politics. It's usually a case of kettle calling pot black or vice versa. But one thing I'll give Dino Melaye is his gift of the gab. He is a Cicero of our political class. I couldn't fault anything he said in this his response ro Wike. His speech is almost perfect. However, a close examination shows he only highlighted his qualifications and validations without any mention of what matters most- his performance. This is what distinguishes good leaders- their track record, not their eloquence or people's validations. |
Wealthier:Hi, Haven't heard from you. Trust you're much better now. |
Seun:Hi Seun, Pleased to have you online. I won't say that he's making his own rules. Those are his suggestions. They were shared for your consideration. |
Puremind1225:Hi Puremind. Do you perceive that you love Nigeria more than other Nigerians? Do you believe anyone wants another 8 years of this suffering that has turned Nigeria and Nigerians to a shadow of what we used to be in the distant past? Just as you believe Peter Obi is the solution to salvaging the system and problem of Nigeria, so do other Nigerians believe Tinubu is the solution. So do some believe Atiku is. Like wise those who believe Kwankwanso is. As long as we practise Democracy, that is the prerogative of every Nigerian citizen. The right to choose and vote their own presumed Leaders. Is our Democracy flawed? Certainly. Is this peculiar to Nigeria? Absolutely No. Is it the last election/electoral process that will make our Democracy perfect? Only a wishful thinking. I'm only going to this great length to share this with you because your moniker caught my attention and it shows you truly mean well. I did not have any candidate out of the four major presidential candidates in the election for personal reasons. By virtue of my own beliefs/ideals none of them was my choice candidate. I wanted Yemi Osnibajo or Fashola, whose track records I resonate with. But the moment that didn't happen, I settled for God's Will to be done. If Peter Obi turns out to be the winner, good. And if Tinubu, good. I know most of us prayed towards this election. And some times when God answers our prayers, it does not manifest the way we envisioned. But He has answered it all the same. When we align with God's will, we will begin to see the answer to our Prayers. But when we resist and rebel against the answered prayers, we become frustrated and start working against our own answered prayers. It is a sad thing for God to answer ones prayer only for one to reject it for what "looks" better. I pray that the new President by May 29 will start what will truly bring the manifestations of our answered prayers. In Jesus name. Cos restoring the Glory of Nigeria is not even an 8-year task. But is anything too hard for God? And it doesn't depend on the Leaders alone but also we the Followers. That's what Democracy is. I pray this meets you well. And I pray by God's Grace and Mercies, this our generation will experience a New Nigeria, even in this incoming administration in the name of Jesus. A Nigeria that Nations will begin to buy visas to relocate to Nigeria. Because Nigeria is truly a Land Flowing with milk and honey- (Human and Minerals resources). We need to understand that it is God that will take the Glory. And we will not forget how much we suffered for it. Peace be unto you. |
LikeAking:I'm shocked. I'm hearing this perspective from an Obidient for the first time. You've spoken with much wisdom. Every thing played out the way it was meant to happen for this election. In due time Peter Obi will be honored. How he will be honored I do not yet know. God's time is the best for every thing in life. It must not be too early and must not be too late. It just has to be the right time. God bless us all. |
LikeAking:It depends on the man. No one size fits all. |
Wealthier:Good evening. |
nlfpmod:Rema has a better catalogue than this though. Calm down is not really a live band song. So that cheated the stage appeal here. His performance was rather drab for me, a Nigerian, I can imagine for a foreigner ancipqting the African magic.lol I pray he comes back to his roots and converts to Gospel music. |
alert01:Yours will come. Focus on fulfilling your purpose through God. When a good woman meets a man with purpose, looks become inconsequential. Build yourself spiritually, you will be spoilt for choice. Cos you will need discernment to choose your own wife and raise the family that pleases and honors God. God bless you and I pray you have a successful life in Canada but always remember your home. |
iSense247:Dear OP 95 years is nonagenarian, not octagenarian. Except you meant to type 85 and not 95. |
PulaPower:Honestly, it's too laughable. And some people still doubt that this is witchcraft/curse? I just thank God that not all Igbos are doomed. Those that will be saved will be saved but nothing can stop those that will perish from perishing. It's simply divine principle. |
Massiveglory:Do you realise that seeking or having love, affirmation, validation from people is not a litmus test for being a good person or leader. In fact, in the real important cases it's the contrary. Jesus Christ, our role model as Christians ran away from people's love and validations. Do you know why? Because he knew the true hearts/intents/motives of people. Truth is, most of us don't even know our true hearts but Jesus does. And that's why he decides who he chooses, who he blesses, who he commits himself to. Until you stop judging by sight, you will be calling for the Crucifixion of Jesus and worst still praising Barabbas in disguise. |
Asour:I really don't like back and forth. I've made my point from my very first comment on this thread. I never said there's a fixed appropriate age for marriage. I never said everyone must marry. You got all that from your own interpretation. My submission: "Place your life in God's hands." "No one shoe/size fits all." |
Wealthier:Do you know that God loves you so much, and that's why He has prevented/protected you from marrying yet? Be of good cheer!, what you consider shame is God working out a glorious package for you. I was particularly excited when you said youre a worker (sanitation/sanctuary cleaner) at that. Rejoice, yours will be a special testimony. Some discussions are beyond NL. Perhaps we can arrange a phone call some time. |
Asour:Prov.3.5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. |
Persephone1:Your moniker sparked my curiosity in you cos that was one of my favorites from Greek mythology. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. |
Persephone1:When you place your life in your own hands, that's when this seems to make sense. But when you place your life in God's hands, marriage can happen at any good stage and age. Mary, the mother of Jesus got married as a teenager. Some of our parents married at Uni self. Some of my friends started relationship during NYSC and got married. No one shoe fits all. Prov.14.12 - There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. |

Oluwatomisin29:There's always a generation that will perish so that the next generation will have the Fear of God and have sense, walk in Righteousness and enjoy Prosperity. This generation of disobedient and rebellious 'obidients" certainly cant escape the curse they have brought on themselves. Yet there's hope for the few that will find Grace and Mercy with our Loving heavenly Father. |
IamDora:I was listing the various reasons I have ended relationships with different girls/ladies in my life, I had to clear the screen. O por. Lol Life outside Christ truly is crises. And obedience is better than sacrifice. All I can only say is Thank God for Jesus and Easter (Victory on the Cross). Other wise I don't deserve forgiveness. The simple advice I'll give the ladies is from the senior veteran himself, King Solomon. Song.8.4 - I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, Do not stir up nor awaken love Until it pleases. And for the men dem (actually both ladies and gentlemen); 1Cor.6.16-17 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For "the two," He says, "shall become one flesh." But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. 1Cor.6.18 - Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Cor.6. 19-20 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. In conclusion; 1Cor.7.8-9 But I say to the unmarried and to the widows: It is good for them if they remain even as I am; but if they cannot exercise self-control, let them marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion. |
ichuka:It would seem Paul and James and in fact Scripture contradicts itself in this 2 books. But I assure you they don't. I also struggled with reconciling this too. I even backlidded before I came to understand it. I pray the Holy Spirit unveils and gives us understanding in Jesus name. The point Paul was making is simple, our justification is by Faith alone apart from our works. We are already justified by our Faith. But this is where James was addressing and which further study of the Epistles of Paul including the same Romans also corroborates- Now that we are justified by Faith alone, what next? What is the evidence of our justification by Faith? It is the works that confirms/justifies that our Faith is true and genuine. An illustration would be Abraham believed God (had Faith in God) and it was imputed to him as righteousness. He was justified by his faith alone without any works. God simply promised him and he believed. He did not have to offer any sacrifice to justify his Faith then. But later when God had given him Isaac the Promise, God commanded him to sacrifice Isaac and He obeyed. His Obedience to genuinely agree to sacrifice His Promised Child here being the work that justified his Faith. In conclusion, You can have Faith absent Works. But it is the Works that confirms the genuineness of your Faith. Which is why James continued by illustrating that even Demons have Faith. They believe God and know how powerful God is. But clearly works of demons are not works of righteousness. So what type of Faith do you have? It is made evident and revealed by the Works it produces. And as James submitted, Faith alone, without works, is truly dead. This is why Jesus Christ cursed the Fig Tree. But that's another discussion. Grace, Faith and Love multiplied to us all in Jesus name. Amen. |
LegendHero:Thank you for your Wisdom. |
onuman:You sound like the devil himself in case you don't realise it. Calmly spewing lies. Any way, your schemes have been exposed and have failed. Be very afraid for your come-uppance is upon you. |
onuman:I would normally ask your tribe to know your disposition, but at this juncture I'm not even interested. The bolded is the lie that your lot always peddles to assuage only to further infiltrate us. Just as you are beginning to woo the unsuspecting Edos now because you "don cast" with Yorubas. But you know among yourselves that your Hatred for Yorubas is only second to your Hatred for Hausas/Fulanis, |
Obaaderemi2:She's just the proverbial guinea pig. She's the recipient of the unwinding ricochet of the exhausted patience of the APC camp towards all the tribal slurs of Obidients against Tinubu and Yorubas. When your cup is full, even a drop can cause a tip over. Igbos forget that Yorubas are just honorable, respectful and patient. We are too blessed as a race/tribe/nation/people. We are accommodating and wise. A gift and a curse the Igbos have now certainly exploited to their own peril. When the rest of Nigeria rejected the freshly defeated and demoralised Igbos, it was still us Yorubas that extended open arms to re-integrate them into the system. Hoping Good and Love will repair things. But if God could not change the Devil, we have tried our bit. They have chosen to repay our good with evil. They have chosen to repay our hospitality with hostility and even encroach our lands. They have desecrated everything we stand for, and for what? Simply because Awolowo advised Gen Yakubu Gowon and Ojukwu lost the Biafran war? A war that brewed out of their signature disloyalty and duplicity? Check every where online and in any igbo dominated gathering, they are just too tribalistic against every other tribe esp Yoruba and Hausa/Fulani. It's normal to esteem your tribe but to hate others is devilish. Once again, only if they humble themselves will they escape the impending judgment coming on them. And it's God himself that is orchestrating their judgment. For God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. The earlier Igbos realise their Pride is their problem, the earlier their suffering can end. Cos truly every human is created loving, good, humble and accommodating until iniquity is found in him then like Satan their pride comes before fall. |
Herdsmen:Do you know how petrified Peter Obi and his followers are presently? Are you even in Nigeria to begin with? Are you in Lagos? Are you at least following the news? Are you following their shallowness of the case LP has against APC and how it has been shattered? Do you already see the dissension in LP camp? Do you see the lack of peace of mind of the demographic that make up his followers? If anyone is scared and rightly so, it is Peter Obi, his sponsors and his followers. Even though I'm not a supporter of APC due to its failure, I recognise and understand the sovereignty of authority, and they are presently in authority. I will only advise such- Know when you've been defeated. And give respect to whom its due. APC and Jagaban are senior and better politicians than Peter Obi and LP. And government anywhere in the world is a game of politics. To even assume otherwise only accentuates naivity and juvenility. PS: I intentionally avoid addressing Peter Obi's followers as Obidients because rather than exhibit fruits of Obedience, they only exhibit fruits of disobedience and rebellion. So they should be more apt addressed as Disobidients or Rebels. |
FreeStuffsNG:The problem of this generation is that everything is but a joke to them. Yes, we know joking has become our defense mechanism to the harsh reality of our nation but haba the sense of seriousness must not be lost. I hardly comment anymore online cos it's an eyesore what I read online. It takes the Grace of God to be social media intelligent and be able to make productive use of your time online in this new age. And a new age is upon us. I strongly pity those who are not discerning. |
Coolestguy2023:Illiterate I disagree but bigot I agree. It is evident just as you have righty submitted that there's mutual exclusivity between intelligence and wisdom. At this juncture I think igbos need to ask themselves in sincerity and humility, individually and corporately some self/tribe evaluating questions. 1. How did we get here? 2. Why are we here? 3. Are we making progress or retrogressing? 4. Why are we antagonising or being antagonised by other tribes? 5. Are we right or wrong? 6. Are our Forefathers right or wrong? 7. Where can we seek help from? 8. What can we do to get things right? A genuine answer to this will deliver them from their seemingly imminent self-destruction. |
jesusjnr2020:I thank God and celebrate His Grace on you for your labor of love here. You're blessed sir |
Vinnie2000:Following Christ and diligently seeking his kingdom requires dedication. Take time for a personal study on your own with the bible and concordance. |
jesusjnr2020:I Thank God the Father For His Wisdom. The Birth, Ministry, Crucifixion, Death, Burial and Ressurection of Jesus Christ gave me Redemption from Sin, Curse, Folly, Fear, Fall, Death, and Eternal Damnation. Now I have Perfect Redemption into Grace and Righteousness, Blessing, Wisdom, Faith, Glory, Life and Eternal Life. And I have the Precious Gift of the Holy Spirit, my Helper, Comforter, Teacher and much more. I am eternally grateful to have received the right and Power to be a child of God. And the honor to be a servant and steward to my LORD. JESUS CHRIST, MY REDEEMER AND SAVIOUR IS LORD FOR EVER AND EVER. AMEN |
