cucumbar: Please, I was asked to visit for 2 weeks only(14 days, I assume).
In my introduction letter, I specified that I wanted to visit for 10 days.
Will it be an issue if I stay for, say 12 days? No, there is no issue if you stay for 12days since your Visa is for 14days BUT no matter what happens, please do NOT overstay your visa duration. Congrats once again. |

jemypeters: please house, i have a question since this is the 1st time i am applying for SA visiting visa.
I earn 120k monthly but for the past nine months i instructed my company to deduct #30k monthly for savings b4 paying me my salary. so the salary comes in as 90k monthly even tho my monthly payslip still indicates #120k.
now if i present my 3months bank statement and my payment slips would the embassy not find it contradictory?
Altho i have a #1.5m investment maturity for 13th of this month ....which should be in my account come next week.
my concern is what i stated above regarding the salary inflows and the payment slips.
Please help me wt ur advise and view..thanks alot Write a letter detailing your explanations and assuring the the 1.5m investment is dedicated for the trip. Good luck |

SirKennie13: *Visa Denial, Delay and Passport hostages*
Visa Facility Services Global otherwise known as VFS in-charge of visa application processing across the world has not been living up to it duty.
VFS in line with its nomenclature should be up to global standard in terms of service and operation. And this should be carried out with utmost diligence regardless of its location or territory of operation.
It is indeed an expression of dissatisfaction to note that VFS Nigeria handling visa application by Nigerian to South Africa has fallen short of global standard practices.
It worries majority of Nigerian applicants and travellers why the changes in its modus operandi in Nigeria based on the fact that;
Travel documents such as international passports are now being retained from the period of application through the processing period and decision period which since early 2019 now takes nothing less than 6 months or more. This costs lots of applicants an unprecedented trauma as they delay for months. Be that as it may, the onus of the delay and denial of application lies in the hands of the SA DHA but the bane of concerns and worries are:
While the international passport is being held by VFS Nigeria/ DHA applicants are denied the opportunity to make use of their travel documents for another important travel plans! And other personal/ identification purposes.
The question remains: Why is VFS Nigeria in charge of South Africa modus operandi different to other VFS in other countries?
Is this the kind of services they rendered across the globe by which they claim they have global recognition?
We wish to call the concern MDAs in Nigeria to please intervene and find an urgent solution to this unwarranted hostage of travel documents.
Please share and circulate till it reaches the necessary authorities.
We hope that it will be accorded a swift response with immediate solutions.
Thanks Please do you have this post any other platform such as twitter or on a blog? Would be glad to share it there too. Thanks for coming up with this. |

gabby227: But is it true that if you reside in other states outside Lagos your document must be sent to Lagos for scrutiny before you get it? I really cannot confirm how it is done in other states but I am certain of the one in Lagos. |

padyt007: I submitted on Monday ,yesterday I got a email saying under process: pls wat does it mean It simply means your application has been received by the High Commission in Nigeria. The processing duration however depends on a lot of factors, most important are; - The type of Visa you are applying for (Visit, Tourism, CSV, Medical, Study). Visit visas usually have the shortest processing duration. - Ease of verifying your information. - Submission of all necessary documents. - The company inviting your or sponsoring your trip. Invitations or sponsorship by SA affiliated companies usually take far less period. In fact, I know some dudes that got their Visa application submitted, processed and returned all within 5working days. - Luck. There are cases of 2 family members submitting the same documents for the same type of visa but while the first's application was treated in days, the other is running into months. ...and the speed of processing the application doesn't guarantee or give a clue whether the Visa will be granted or not. Best of Luck. |

Trubrid: Good evening nairalandas please I need to confirm something from preferably people that hv applied for South African visa previously ,I got a message yesterday after waiting for almost two months now which reads "Processed Visa Application Reference no. ***** is ready for collection at The South African Visa Application Centre Plot 110, Admiral Ayinla Way, 3rd Roundabout Lekki Phase I Lagos on 25/11/2019 .Collection Timing is from 11am to 3pm." So my question is with this message is it a guarantee that the visa has been approved or otherwise I'm lost ,I just want to know so I can decide on the next step to take ,I ll really appreciate y'all opinions and advice It only means that your passport is ready for collection. The message (or VFS as a whole) does not say whether or not you've been granted Visa. I wish you the very best. Please share your testimony tomorrow to encourage others on this platform. |

Opeyinka: Not everyone's passport is delayed.
I applied on Oct 2nd and passport return on Oct 9th with Visa denied. Reason bank Statement not valid for 3 months. I did 1st to 31st of three months instead of 31st to 31st
I reapplied Nov 6th and and got my passport with multiple entry Visitor's Visa back on the 13th of Nov.
Each application took exactly one week. I have never been to SA. This is amazing. You really have no idea how favored you are Sir. 2 applications treated within 2 weeks can only be be described as amazing. |

Damimubo: It seems so many people are affected, cos even on Twitter people have been tagging the likes of @abikedabiri, sanwoolu and the vice president, Bobby moroe, etc. This act of south Africa embassy is just an indirect way of extorting us cos if we cant wait for their decision we will have withdraw our P. But it's so unfair sha. My passport has been there for 2 and half months.
As in, I kept wondering may this thread is for only those that their visa was delayed. Because people getting it are not posting here so it is looking as if that's what the SA embassy is doing now. Is there a trending Hashtag on Twitter for this delay? These SA guys are really taking us for granted and it seems nobody gives a hoot about it. |

seyiwealth: Hello House.
I am in the process of applying for Critical Skills Visa for South Africa but am concerned about the proof of fund part. I have done the following;
1. SAQA 2. IIPTSA 3. Medicals 4. Yellow card
Can I use 400k as a proof of fund for the application?
Would I get a 5years work permit without an employer?
I intend applying in few days time. Please kindly help out.
Thanks Can I use 400k as a proof of fund for the application? - Yes this should be sufficient for the application. Would I get a 5years work permit without an employer? Quite unlikely. You most likely will be granted 1year CSV without confirmed employment. |
