T-john: This is just so unfair. Maybe they used cross trade to execute your order. Since cross trades are not recorded brokers can carry out their evil acts. So one party will gained enormously while the other get cheated. Meristem is good at cross trade. I have observed that some times when I place market order as early as 7 am, before I finish taking my bath they send me buy contract note for that order. |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Elai147: 2:10pm On Jan 10, 2014 |
Born 2be Rich: Actually, there are some dividends that are not worth it except if you have millions of units on the stock. Sometimes I go for price appreciation and collect my profit on my short term stocks if that pays me better than what I will get on the miniature dividend. |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by gosj(m): 3:46pm On Jan 10, 2014 |
lancee:Yes dear, going by normal market forces, the price should go down as the stock will be plenty in investors' portfolio. Many people wud want to offload and this cud likely lead to a price crash. But u know nowadays, the market in NSE seems to defy the usual principles. |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Nobody: 4:41pm On Jan 10, 2014 |
The normal thing is for d price to drop wen the rights are listed, Bt forsee a renewed rally in ubcap wen d right is listed. Have u forgotten how they planned to corner d rights to themselves? A lot of ppl I know of are just receiving their right circular in their mail boxes this month. I was able to know abt d right and take it up cos of smn, many didn't have dt priviledge. Anyway, let's keep our fingers crossed. Caution if u r nt already on d train. Skye bank on d muv next week. |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Nobody: 4:54pm On Jan 10, 2014 |
Born 2be Rich: For me, there is no how I can register for e div for all d stocks I buy. I still have abt 20k for uba, 20k for sterling bank unpaid dividend not to talk of abt 18k of 3years outstanding for jberger which I have processed and awaiting the alert to my account. For. Lagosians, it maybe easy but for us in upcountry, d warrant expires b4 it gets to ur box. Uba and sterling didn't even send theirs at all. |

Omexonomy: please sombory shoul provide answers to this kwestions aboveI have first bank shares but the rate @ which investors are dropping the shares is alarming but i know it's a good buy for midterm not short term. Transcorp shares is a good Buy too @ price btw 3.95 - 4.15 cos on or b4 the EOM, this share will start flying and heading towards N7. Their result is likely to be out by Mid FEB & It's a sure thing that they will declare Jumbo dividend |
